Practice makes perfect, yesterday I played against legendary for my first time. I played 4 matches and I had 3 loses and 1 draw. Today I won 2 matches (scored 2 in both), Tied once and lost only twice. You Dan do it!
Playing legendary on casual match is easy Especially in sponsored league. The ball is much pleasing than the generic match like serie a I played legendary on a daily basis And its easy to win But when it comes to serie a or another generic match Its script battle
True. I managed to beat city 5-2 in one of these. I scored my 1st 2 attacks, then I tried to pass to my keeper but my player tried to square it to the other cb, so they scored 1st time. Then I got a scandalous red for two gentle fouls I did by accident, then I got 2 goals from totally outplaying them, and they scored a scripted kick off goal, but I won a corner in stoppage time and my header looked cleared off the line but it was actually over

If I hadn't been so much better than them, there was no way I was winning, half of my attacks were ended with ease and it's just cause I had such a good game that I ended up thrashing them. I played one in the spfl in a career and I was literally all over my opponents, and they just countered everything, I snatched a point though from an insane long shot that went in top corner
Try Playing Champions League final against PSG at Legendary AI. That requires a REAL effort! By the way they do score with first touch shots from insane distance and also some unreal headers eventhough the attacker(mostly Cavani) is very well marked. But then beating them gives you a different feeling altogether😅 Its really taxing. I now beat them 4 out of 5 times on avg.

While the tips you give work most of the time, there are a few teams that use defensive tactics making the one two passing ineffective. Teams will use a back line with 1-3 depth as their normal setup. This is also at times a team's tactical setup for their secondary formation. Either way there will be CDM's too close to CB's to effectively use one two passing as your main tactic since their defense also will not be pressing. On top of that, in career mode, there appears to be momentum swings which most refer to as scripts. Not sure exactly what it is, but if you're playing a team like this, and you aren't clinical early, you'll start hitting the post over and over and/or the keeper becomes superman. These are the only games I lose anymore, so if you got any tips to help there, I'd be eternally grateful. Thank you for the tips in the video, and have a great day!
@@berwynwantah8969 It does feel too often to be random, but when I get a capture card, I'm gonna dissect it statistically. It reminds me of another game I once suspected something similar. It turned out that if it was random I was experiencing 1 in a quadrillion odds on a weekly basis.
1-2 passes, short passes, dribbling and holding the ball are some of the vital key points I observed could prove clinical in beating legendary level AI. I still only beat them half the time though.
I feel like legendary is broken ,once they shoot they always score ,they never miss ,I always have to tap box so that my defender can block the ball , my main problem is attacking, I made a custom team where I put van dijk ,koulibaly , jordi Alba and walker as the opposite defenders and it’s almost impossible to get through them if you’re not thinking 2-3 passes ahead , the reason I did that is to learn to beat those tough players , so any other set of defenders I play against would seem to slow and less intimidating
FifaFoxx300 I’ve been doing it since the quarantine started , I recently played with my friends and none of them could get through my defense they could only score from outside the box (I made some mistakes , I’m human 😂), but now their defense is extremely slow and also predictable to me , my dribbling timing has become far better and also my game iq and creativity, against the custom team legendary, sometimes I win in the first half and then they equalize in the second (how do I fix that please?), I’m able to predict their movements and even make them attack using the route I want them to and then press them there ,currently I’m back to playing against non edited teams and I win all the time ,it’s almost to easy
I have played FIFA 11 and in that game on Legendary AI I could score 4-5 goals very easily, but then I played FIFA 14, 15, 19 and I realised what's wrong, I changed the settings to Legacy Defending and not Tactical Defending, now I can tackle and snatch the ball very easily and score goals, on World Class AI I scored 8 goals.
@@XAV-117 Yes it helps..playing the AI on Legendary or Ultimate...Ea increase their stats slightly having you at a disadvantage...so when you play against ppl online it will be an even playing field in terms of the players stats
I’ve been playing Professional for years and decided enough is enough and to take the plunge into Legendary as it’s apparently easier than World Class as World Class is very aggressive but anyway, a newly promoted side shouldnt be beating mancity and liverpool 3 and 4 nil in a game so I knew i had mastered Professional 😂 Must watch the rest of your vids 👍

Yesterday I barely squeezed out a 1-0 extra time win against Barca when I was playing as Man City. Why do I have so much trouble against Barcelona in particular?
I get that too, their wingers and full backs are RAPID so they always catch me on the wings, and Suarez shots are insane, and their CBs are pretty good, especially when you consider their goalkeeper being one of the best in the world, and they have a great midfield, so I find I cant score against them, outrun them, keep possession, break down their defence to get 1 on 1, score long shots, or defend against them

@Anonymous You couldn’t be more right. Ter Stegen saved all my shots and their defense did so well to keep me out for 108 minutes! And then FINALLY Gabriel Jesus scored after receiving a through ball pass from Sterling. I went crazy!!!
@@viksinha5410 that's baisically what happened to me as Dortmund vs real, partially cause I was awful at attacking, but somehow managed to keep them out the whole 120 minutes. I won in about the 115th min when I got a high through ball to aubamayang on a counter attack and managed to score (it was on fifa 17) But yeah, Barca could probs be regular champions league winners if they didnt throw it away in theyr 2nd legs (Athletico 2 Barca 0, roma 3 Barca 0, liverpool 4 Barca 0(that was the worst one))

If you really are desperate to win just spam crosses with a very good crosser and have a striker with power heading and good jumping/heading accuracy. Its a little harder in newer FIFA games but this has always been, and will always be the most cheesiest way to win against the AI. No matter the dynamic difficulty, the sides are always open. It doesn't even matter if no one goes for a run, you can wait since the sides are always open. 4-5-1 4 CBs, 4 CDMs who are tall and have high jumping stat, 1 fullback with great crossing and pace and 1 striker with good heading accuracy, jumping, height and strength. All of them should have decent pace (except for the striker, you actually want him to get to the box after your fullback) and stamina. Dont even bother with having high "primary" stats for them. You can pay 3X the amount for a CDM with good pasing vs. one with decent passing or a striker with good finishing, attack position and passing etc. It's definitely not worth it. You want a fullback because its basically a cheaper winger with actual good defense stats. Dont need finishing, shooting and positioning etc. on him because you will never do those things. The ONLY player that should be in the box should be your striker. It will make it more likely that you will recover the ball and you can rince and repeat. I have done 2 unbeaten seasons with this setup from a championship team to the premier league on the hardest difficulty in FIFA 20. Without question spend a huge chunk of your budget on the striker, since he should be your only goal scorer.
Ultimately you will eventually get it by practicing constantly but to answer your question. It all comes down to timing and anticipating the defenders movements. For example skip to 2:21 in the video.....I realised the defender was running with a lot of momentum therefore I quickly flicked the Left analog in the opposite direction and was able to get away from the defender so quickly. I dont know,since last update.. i feel Legendary A.I with Competative mode "ON", is more harder... I need to turn off the competative mode, to study back,where im wrong....
Personally I keep my Fullbacks on balanced...and when I want them to attack forward I press R1 to trigger their runs... I always keep my CDMs on Stay back while attacking.....To me Aggressive Interceptions only help when the play has high stamina (90+) and high defensive work rate... Using Aggressive Interceptions with an average play depletes their stamina significantly...by the 60'min they are too tired...So my advise is don't use Aggressive Interceptions. You too can make it easy bro ✊ I believe you can with playing consistently and keep practicing
FifaFoxx300 thanks for the tip. Kept the FBs back but forced CDM ahead and managed a 3-3 draw, best result so far. Should try it the other way now and try to cut out the frustrating ping pong precision passing. Significant lack of support on the wings. Btw R1 doesn’t seem to work for me to trigger runs. You scored 8 with hardly any crazy skill moves, man that is some feat.

Hi I am currently playing at Professional Difficulty in Career mode with all default setting. But When AI start to press aggressively, my player become too slow, can't pass accurately/ properly or wrong direction and sometime can't dribble also. In worst case my player become absolutely slow and can't even build up the game play, let alone to win AI. So how do i counter that situation? Playing on PS4 with latest update. Thanks.
Buy a brand new PS4 uninstall Fifa 20 and reinstall the game ☠️☠️😆just kidding lol Hopefully you play Career mode with an average team...My suggestion to you is...Try adjusting the sliders to your preference where u feel the players are not slow.... After you adjust the sliders trying using top league teams against the AI (low league teams) and only after you start winning 3-0,4-0,5-0...Move onto to better teams to play against and your confidence will keep on growing and you'll be a better player 😊. I believe in you bro💪
I can win (squeeze) most matches in career mode now following your tips but there are some when even my 99 rated Mbappe goes cuckoo but the other team’s players, all of them, play like Supercharged Messis. Their players are in perfect positions ping pong passing to perfection and if I hold my defensive cover intact for a few seconds one of them shoots a rocket making my 90+ GK look dumb. It’s only a handful of matches in a season but they just won’t allow me to win or sometimes even score. Btw how do you win a ball in the air from a long pass ? I can’t for the life of me, ever win one!
I've just won my first 2 games on legendary in fifa 19. Ist was Barca vs Huesca, and I should have won at least 3-0, but hit the crossbar with a "low" header, and hit the post multiple times, but I only won 1-0, with a header from Luis Suarez. Then against real Madrid, I made a high driven through ball from box to box, and got a cross into Rakatic (remembering the ai dont track midfielder runs) and scored a header (I used to think it was impossible to score headers in legendary) but they equalised more or less immediately when my clearance barely got out of the box and straight to luka modric who scored first time (how typical of legendary difficulty) and in the 2nd half I missed so many 1 on 1s where I played a through ball from a winger to a midfielder who ran into the box, but eventually (in the 88th minute) got a pass to messi in the box and finessed it into the bottom corner. 💪Thanks so much, these tips really helped 😁
I agree man! Like every time I tackle they just do a pullback and turn my defender like he was not there and easily go on goal. And don't get me started on deflections...every time I shoot and hit their player it always - ALWAYS bounces back to the AI, same with clearances I kick the ball up field it ends up in their possession - they do it and they always find some impossible through ball and get a counter attack from nowhere. And I do win games, especially against big teams but struggle against some sides like Lyon, Sevilla, Monaco... The deflections is what gets me to rage quit everytime :DDD And then world class is like playing split-screen with no player 2 :D
@@TheRogi22 what you gotta do is do something similar real footballers actually do, go to tactics and put your defenders deep, they can never be wide, like leave them inside when defending, it decreased my goal conceding from 3 a match to max 1 or 2
Yesterday I play FIFA 19 on legendary and I lost in 0 to 3 and again I lost 0 to 1. Because I found out I wasn't strong attack. Like shoot or dribble. So can you show us button on (I'm PS4) you used on this video which will more helpful? I am deaf and find it little difficult. But your show some bubble and write which helpful but need know what button you used like dribble etc
You set your full back to stay on the back while attacking? LOL, I was dominating world class, felt too easy for me, so I tried legendary. It was good toward the final days of the season. From that point forward, its getting frustrating because they packed their player on the defense and my players doesnt seems to find a room to run to lol..
Yes I set my fullbacks on stay back while attacking. I trigger their runs manually when I need them to push forward That's true lol on the last few fixtures nobody wants to lose so they do that 😆. It's annoying but overtime I find my way to score

I always get that too, and sometimes I'll try to play a simple pass to a man in space, and it will go in a totally different direction, generally straight to the opposition, probably just me not getting the hang of the controls (I ended up winning the Fulham QPR game with the last kick of the ball)

Am playing world class but every time and opponent crosses a ball into the box, always my defenders are slow to react.. I concede a lot from crosses..

You make it look so easy, what instructions do you use for CDM and fullbacks? Does aggressive interceptions help?
Personally I keep my Fullbacks on balanced...and when I want them to attack forward I press R1 to trigger their runs... I always keep my CDMs on Stay back while attacking.....To me Aggressive Interceptions only help when the play has high stamina (90+) and high defensive work rate... Using Aggressive Interceptions with an average play depletes their stamina significantly...by the 60'min they are too tired...So my advise is don't use Aggressive Interceptions.

FifaFoxx300 thanks for the tip. Kept the FBs back but forced CDM ahead and managed a 3-3 draw, best result so far. Should try it the other way now and try to cut out the frustrating ping pong precision passing. Significant lack of support on the wings. Btw R1 doesn’t seem to work for me to trigger runs. You scored 8 with hardly any crazy skill moves, man that is some feat.
@@Sandeep-sj8fq Yes bro...with a little bit of passing and Dribbling it's possible.... Sometimes players feel they NEED skill moves to be great...Yes it may enhance your gameplay but it's not necessary to become a great player... I always believe in keeping it simple

Hi I am currently playing at Professional Difficulty in Career mode with all default setting. But When AI start to press aggressively, my player become too slow, can't pass accurately/ properly or wrong direction and sometime can't dribble also. In worst case my player become absolutely slow and can't even build up the game play, let alone to win AI. So how do i counter that situation? Playing on PS4 with latest update. Thanks.

Hopefully you play Career mode with an average team...My suggestion to you is...Try adjusting the sliders to your preference where u feel the players are not slow....
After you adjust the sliders trying using top league teams against the AI (low league teams) and only after you start winning 3-0,4-0,5-0...Move onto to better teams to play against and your confidence will keep on growing and you'll be a better player 😊.

I can win (squeeze) most matches in career mode now following your tips but there are some when even my 99 rated Mbappe goes cuckoo but the other team’s players, all of them, play like Supercharged Messis. Their players are in perfect positions ping pong passing to perfection and if I hold my defensive cover intact for a few seconds one of them shoots a rocket making my 90+ GK look dumb. It’s only a handful of matches in a season but they just won’t allow me to win or sometimes even score. Btw how do you win a ball in the air from a long pass ? I can’t for the life of me, ever win one!

I've just won my first 2 games on legendary in fifa 19. Ist was Barca vs Huesca, and I should have won at least 3-0, but hit the crossbar with a "low" header, and hit the post multiple times, but I only won 1-0, with a header from Luis Suarez. Then against real Madrid, I made a high driven through ball from box to box, and got a cross into Rakatic (remembering the ai dont track midfielder runs) and scored a header (I used to think it was impossible to score headers in legendary) but they equalised more or less immediately when my clearance barely got out of the box and straight to luka modric who scored first time (how typical of legendary difficulty) and in the 2nd half I missed so many 1 on 1s where I played a through ball from a winger to a midfielder who ran into the box, but eventually (in the 88th minute) got a pass to messi in the box and finessed it into the bottom corner. 💪Thanks so much, these tips really helped 😁

I agree man! Like every time I tackle they just do a pullback and turn my defender like he was not there and easily go on goal. And don't get me started on deflections...every time I shoot and hit their player it always - ALWAYS bounces back to the AI, same with clearances I kick the ball up field it ends up in their possession - they do it and they always find some impossible through ball and get a counter attack from nowhere. And I do win games, especially against big teams but struggle against some sides like Lyon, Sevilla, Monaco... The deflections is what gets me to rage quit everytime :DDD And then world class is like playing split-screen with no player 2 :D
@@TheRogi22 what you gotta do is do something similar real footballers actually do, go to tactics and put your defenders deep, they can never be wide, like leave them inside when defending, it decreased my goal conceding from 3 a match to max 1 or 2

Yesterday I play FIFA 19 on legendary and I lost in 0 to 3 and again I lost 0 to 1. Because I found out I wasn't strong attack. Like shoot or dribble. So can you show us button on (I'm PS4) you used on this video which will more helpful? I am deaf and find it little difficult. But your show some bubble and write which helpful but need know what button you used like dribble etc

LOL, I was dominating world class, felt too easy for me, so I tried legendary.
It was good toward the final days of the season. From that point forward, its getting frustrating because they packed their player on the defense and my players doesnt seems to find a room to run to lol..
Yes I set my fullbacks on stay back while attacking. I trigger their runs manually when I need them to push forward
That's true lol on the last few fixtures nobody wants to lose so they do that 😆. It's annoying but overtime I find my way to score

@@Guy280190 same, I hit the post 3 times as Fulham against QPR, and saw some great saves before getting a breakthrough, but then they equalised and took the lead with their first 2 shots.

They read every pass, block every pass line, crowding my player, even my players seems like an idiot, waiting the ball to come to them slowly.. lol

I always get that too, and sometimes I'll try to play a simple pass to a man in space, and it will go in a totally different direction, generally straight to the opposition, probably just me not getting the hang of the controls (I ended up winning the Fulham QPR game with the last kick of the ball)
