Beautiful! I never heard of String Gel before today. Very interesting to watch you use it. 🤓 I think the black paint would look fantastic if not so stubborn. Thank you! ❤
It was irresistible to watch this video having seen the wonderful golden image! I really enjoyed learning your process including when things don't go as you hope, thank you for including that too. Of course your beautifully designed stencils always make a fabulous piece of art, but with the golden Kuretake paint, these pieces are breathtakingly beautiful -just wow! Out of resistance comes strength - Napoleon Hill 💜
The Kuretake ink is worth its weight in gold. I kept thinking that I could use something different like gold paint instead but it just didn’t work as well. And of course you saw a few of the missteps as well. There were more believe me. A few consults with our friend Colleen as well. lol. Thank you for watching. My goal was to provide a video illustrating this process and I hope I achieved that. Hugs.
Thank you so much for sharing all of your information on this technique, and your findings and results! Your results are absolutely gorgeous! The gold prints are beautiful, and I truly love the prints you stamped on!❤
So unique! And so interesting how it was not working with the brayer off. It's the same paints and resist as the others. It has to be because of the texture on the brayer off. IDK. Thank you for sharing your process with us to get those beautiful prints! I have all three of your wildflower stencils and have been enjoying them! 😍
I know. The brayer off was either due to the grainy texture or I might have had some gold on it. Gold paint definitely resists the media I was using. It was a bit of a puzzle. Thank you for your support, I’d love to see what you do with the wildflower stencils.
I love this technique. I don't have a string gel. Do you think that tar gel will work since it is spread on instead of drizzled to make the string effect?
I have not used tar gel but I do know others have used it. I think it would work in theory because they are a similar product. I shied away because I kept hearing it took too long to dry but string gel took a while to dry. So….. If you try it would you let me know? Thank you for watching.
Lovely shares Christy...I like how you stamped that gold...like your stencil too. Happy crafting to you.....❤B
Thank you Brian. The gold added a nice dimension to a piece that didn’t work very well. Lol.

Julie, thank you for watching. I’m now experimenting with acrylic inks to see if they are easier to use for this process. I will keep you all posted.

Thanks. Some worked and others not so much but it was all good to show.
Very interesting process Christy. This techniqueisnew to me. I love the high contrast. You achieved using black. Thanks for experimenting for us😊❤
Thank you Jennifer it is a fun process. It is very similar to the idea behind using embossing powders on cards. Thank you for watching and commenting.
