    That place is surreal. You could spend weeks with a sketchbook there drawing plants.

    I love gardens that give one the opportunity to view plants from above. The structure of many tropical plants especially, really stands out from an elevated viewpoint. ~ Thank you for annotating some of the species names, as it helps those who like to research species that are new to them. ~ So far in the series Mr. Davis has mentioned the unintended introduction of a plant and bird species. It will be interesting to see how the facility deals with these additions to the planned flora and fauna.

    All I can say is Singapore/ Singapore gov willing to invest for something incredible which results to not only attract tourist but all the plant lovers around the world. Malaysia won’t be able to do something amazing like this, more money were invest for political interest. May the pandemic end soon, hopefully I can go visit this amazing country with amazing garden soon.

    • @summerrayneoakes

      Maybe on the horizontal sufaces (will have to ask), but the wall is really just sphagnum with a fertigation system.

  • @buhingkalbaryo
    @buhingkalbaryo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    how do they plant them?

  • @oreo5197
    @oreo5197 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don’t understand how can the plants get that amount of light and they are so healthy ¿May it be because the crystals have some kind of filters? I don’t know.

    • @summerrayneoakes
      @summerrayneoakes  5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Are you asking because they are getting too much light? In the first episode of the series, he explains that the glass they have for the dome is a selective filter, so it takes out the harshest UV-rays for the plants, which could damage their chloroplasts.

    • @oreo5197
      @oreo5197 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2
