Dr. Bryant has received numerous awards and fellowships, published eight books, and authored a number of articles on the earliest origins of the Vedic culture, yoga philosophy, and the Krishna tradition. These include a Penguin World Classics translation of the story of Krishna’s incarnation, from its traditional source the Śrīmad Bhāgavata Purāṇa.
Edwin strives to combine academic scholarship and rigor with appreciation towards traditional knowledge systems. His teaching method is to allow the ancient texts to speak in their own voice and through their own terms and categories.

It is time for many, Edwin, to stand up and be proud to be a full Hindu (not one who stills keeps their non Hindu names) and to call out the phony non-Hindu yoga (teachers)! Shallow words if we still capitulate to the massive phony yoga movement.

I think Edwin does stand up for what he practices and believes to be fair. He simply does so through his own conditioned samskaras.

yuñjate mana uta yuñjate dhiyo viprā viprasya bṛhato vipaścitaḥ | vi hotrā dadhe vayunāvid eka in mahī devasya savituḥ pariṣṭutiḥ ||
“The wise apply their minds; they perform sacred rites for the propitiation of the intelligent, great, adorable Savitā; he alone, knowing their functions, directs the priests; verily, great is the praise of the divine Savitā.”(RigVeda, 5.81.1- Seer- Syavashya Atreya)
This is the closest verse from Veda(Samhita proper) nearer to conception of Yoga apart from Nasadiya Sukta(10.129 where seers see the relationship between nothingness and the being).
Yoga in Older Vedas meant Yoking. Used in relation with yoking of oxes with Bullock cart. Amazing this single word had so many meanings and interpretations from mundane usage to deeply sprititual usage within Hindu religion itself(Other Indic religions notwithstanding)..

When and who founded the early advaita philosophy? My end research points towards 6-700 years prior Buddha's birth. Please do inform, if possible

It's gotta be 20 thousand years ago at least. Since it's all pure reason

This guy is so wrong about everything. Advaita is the only real school of vedanta.
