Yes - star anchorage would be great. How about a mini series or special on anchorages in the Solent. I used to keep a boat in Plymouth where I was spoilt for choice. I need some local knowledge to find them in the Solent. Great videos thanks for the effort.

Yipee !! New episode Fire made, wine opened and glass poured... So here we are... Watching your latest adventures to Alum bay, reminiscing on our trip there earlier in the year, and stop off at The Hut ( agree fabulous seafood!!). We walked along totland bay to the Waterfront bar too and will visit there next time. .... when Mrs Acuity nearly spilled her wine ... ...hahaha yep early night tonight !! ;) I will let Mrs A explain ..... Ps. I swear by HG Mould spray for removing aglae off everything. I use it on the canopies, side decks .. everywhere .. spray then leave 20 mins and the algae is gone, then wash it away. Thanks for the fabuolus videos, very entertaining and a joy to watch.
HG makes sense we useHG (Different product of course) at home for mould and for shower cleaning much better and Steiner than Viakal. Will definitely try it on the algae and feed back. Thanks

I remember as a kid going there and you could get a glass test tube a d cork and then clamber all over the cliffs filling your test tube with different coloured sand. Not any more though. The meal looked scrummy so hats off to you for that. Do you think you will give up on going to pubs now you have discovered cooking? The gathering of subscribers in 2021 sounds a great idea but I’m guessing I won’t get an invite given my penchant for bad weather😩. I am comforted by the mention of other subscribers who, like Gary, can take some of the flak. You keep mentioning sending clips or photos but not sure we know your email address. How to remove stubborn green litchen forming on your fittings. It's a simple well proven solution which was originally developed in the Vietnam war. The setup and process is alarmingly simple. Napalm and kerosene flame throwers. I have absolutely no worries recommending this cure, promising it will also cure the fly problem too! Very few people i know, who have ever taken this advise, ever came back to say it didn't work. I am told it works on all hull types but especially good on old classic wooden pilot cutters.

Still, we mustn't forget how bad this might have been if it affected the young badly or was as lethal as historic pandemics. Staying indoors is hard but not too bad a price to pay for many of us. Hope your family are fairing well. Let's try and do that Chichester Harbour catchup this year. :)

Thanks for the plug. But, no, I am not going to do another rudder job. One is enough to last a lifetime. It was one of those projects where as soon as I had started I was already in too deep. Mind you, thinking about it, that's how all my DIY projects go. Anyway, something you said about submerged hazards reminded me of a brilliant book I used to have. It's called 'Solent Hazards' by Peter Bruce. You can still get it second hand on Amazon. It is full of aerial photos from all over the Solent at lowest astronomical tide and clearly shows all the hazards you wouldn't want to hit. Cheers Paul

Can’t risk that on Dave Oliver’s boat. His holding tank is always full to the brim and could create an ecological disaster in the beautiful Beaulieu.
