I really miss the Jodi Lorimer and Enrique Enrade (idk if that's the right way to spell his name) recordings. They were my childhood. Also, the 100 series trains (type 1s) are retiring.

Our trains entirely have a man's voice. for example, on the red line on the south side approaching 63rd, the train would say "63rd is next. Doors open on the left at 63rd." And at the station, the voice would say "This is 63rd." I love Chicago just because of its world class transit.
@@ChicagoMike97 Yeah, Chicago does have a solid train system. I do like the metro style transit like CTA, but my favorite type of transit is light rail.
@@Rabbitrails315Fair point. I also like light rail and miss the MAX. I hope that the SW corridor line will happen but voters rejected the Metro measure back in 2020. Since then I haven’t really heard anything about it.
What I really like about the blue line is that it runs on my favorite railroads that once stood. I love the Oregon Electric Railway and the Burlington Northern.
I have a train book that talks about the history of The Railroads in Washington County that talks about this, it’s a book That they’re selling at Whistle stop trains. But I’m not going to get into full detail because of that I discussed on Otter’s Channel.

They changed the announcement voice on the trains since I left Portland for Chicago a couple of years ago. I miss my old city. Thanks for filming.
No prob. 👍

Yeah, it's really not convenient. They're planning on grade separating that crossing.
