Thanks for the direct and concise teach. This video along with your base teach convinced me that this was a game for me. Thanks again for a pair of great videos.

I greatly enjoy these videos; it is a great watch and then I read the manual to reinforce the minute details. I seem to retain how to play the game for a long time this way.

I prefer to read the rulebook myself over and over. Sometimes this is as fun as playing the game itself. But your videos are very well done and fun to watch and this is a great complement to reading the rules. You are the GOAT of how to play videos, keep it up good sir.

Question: at the setup, you place the crucifix on the big supplyboard. Does it not belong on the small one?

Yeah, there's also the drinking horn too. Just didn't notice during filming.

Where can we support your work and ask for particular games? I would love a video of you explaining FIEF FRANCE.

There's a link to my Patreon in the video description. I take suggestions in a specific post (that actually just went up) and put the most popular choices on a poll for all patrons to vote on.

@@RTFM I’m mostly planning on playing it solo. Do you think it’s worth it if so?

@@JohnSmith-nh2te I think Feast has a great solo mode. Whether it's worth it or not is up to you because the game is pretty expensive, but I definitely enjoy it.

@@JohnSmith-nh2te its great at 2 if you can find a player. Solo mode is super easy rules wise, barely any changes.

Two player AFFO definitely speeds things along. A full four and you're looking at a completely filled afternoon if you have at least one player who experiences chronic AP.

I found the original game for 20 bucks, but man does this game seem so complex

    • @Strausburg
      @Strausburg 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Whoa that's a steal! The game is not wildly complex once you're accustomed to the rules, but there are many things to choose from which makes it look complicated.

I really dislike the idea of expansions being essential. Given that, you’re ok

    • @unicornshampoo

I think key components that make the game far more enjoyable should be free to print with the option to buy the expansion.

Well it is essential in the term of once you have it you will never play without it even with new players.
Like every expansion, it adds more things...which IMO never makes an expansion essential.
But what makes it a nobrainer to include is that it doesnt add much conplexity WHILE it leads to a re-balancing of actions and ways to go (especially going animal-heavy is inferior in the base game) and reduces randomness by having the option to discard cards for VP tokens (cards you cant or dont want to use).
The Norwegian expansion is one of the best-rated expansions on BGG, BUT still the base game alone is the best ranked Uwe Rosenberg game.
I give the base game an 8.5 (so it's great to play). The expansion improves it to a 9.0. It's not TOO much but makes it my #3 of all time while the base game would still be in my top 20/30.
So NOT essential, but once you have it you will always include it.
It's even counterproductive to explain the base game and in the next play need to explain a very different worker placement board.

I said it before on a previous video...
    1) You talk too fast when explaining things and mumble while you're doing it. Try taking your time and care about being understood.
    2) Your music at the end of the video completely drowns out your voice. I had to really concentrate to hear what you were saying.
