I hope the next game will include a new type of habitats for the tiny species. Think about the small terrariums in PZ or the small aviaries in PK. Walkthrough aviaries like in JP3 could be a great improvements for the birdcages in our parks. You allready talked about it in a video, but guests being able to see the animals from the paths like in PZ would also be very welcome. Sometimes a viewing gallery ruins an habitat but we need one if we want to make sure guests go there to see the animals.
Must haves are Better Terraforming system, placeable waterfalls, better Lagoons and aviaries. Supersmall hitboxes or None at all. Nice to haves are random Island Generation, other prehistoric animals Like Mastodons, Saber tooth cats.
for me JWE3 needs about the same things bridges a more balanced star rating system (im a challenge mode enthusiast) better lagoons walking pterosaurs im not like- super demanding bc imma be fr my dino tism will get it no matter what lmfao
The minimum im expecting is: Better guests: being able to interact with benches, stairs, bins, walk around with soveniers from the shops, open doors, react properly to stuff around them instaed of pointing to random directions and each one of them have their own personality (Basically JPOG guests) Better economy Better terrain tools + proper semiaquatics Better creature AI: walking for pterosaurus, combat overhauled and more social animations Slightly better graphics Few redesigns for some species like acrocanthosaurus and carcharodontosaurus More attractions More decorations Improved territory system More patterns More type of fences More type of paths Overhauled biomes so we can see inside forests Overhaul of the aviaries and lagoons 1 thing less and i wont even bother with the next game
I agree with pratically all the points you mentioned. But if the other 4 are met, I can tolerate not having bridges and tunnels. But what I need the most, along side a bigger focus on menagment are actual GUESTS. Not just simulacruns that appear and disapear to give the impression of a crowd. And I need a better genetic system. Give the dinos more variation on the stats, give back the control over the stats we had in 1 (but with random variation) and give us some way of controling the traits the dinos can have.
Better terrain tools, bridges, tunnels, different fence heights with small fences with smaller openings for smaller species. Better dino realism such as sizes and walking pterosaurs, staff only paths where guests don't clog up in front of my staff buildings, etc. Larger aviaries. Able to change lagoon depths to make underwater hills and ridges and underwater tours. Possible a see-through tunnel for walking tours for lagoons and aviaries.
I guess I would need a marked improvement in UI design, General Polish, Pterosaur walking ability, and indication that the new game isn't just a cheap "If this was Prehistoric Kingdom, this would have been an update" style repackaging of JWE2 to syphon more money out of the playerbase, the way JWE2 itself felt relative to JWE at the start.
5 must have for JWE3 in my opinion: 1. Small animals exhibitions/paddocks. 2. Amphibian/fresh water creatures & deep water tool. 3. Ground animations & different diets for different species of pterosaurs. 4. Make park guests feel more dinámica with animations or interaction (like in JPOG guests will carry product buyed in the kiosk) 5. More buildings & attractions to make our park feels More inmersive (Bridges, benches where guests sit on, river cruise, lagoon tunnels)
Launch in a complete state and not be so heavily dependant in DLC, have a great variety of attractions and regular buildings, more factions to make parks with (don't remove any company introduced in JWE2), more Cenozoic animals and be great with tools.
1. REAL terrain tools, not the pathetic half assed garbage they've been feeding to us for the past two games now. Being able to create actual running rivers with water depth, waterfalls, canyons, unique rock formations, etc. There is NO excuse to not have this for the third game. It should have been in the second game tbh. 2. Dino breeding. This should have been in these games from the very beginning since breeding has always been a major plot point for Jurassic Park since the first movie. 3. Expanded animations where each dinosaur species has their own unique set, not reusing animations across different species. The animations in JWE2 was a good step in the right direction, but once you saw how little they actually had for each dinosaur, it became underwhelming very quickly. If the next game doesn't at the VERY LEAST have these I wont be wasting my time and money with it, that's for sure.
Totally agree with number 3. Number 2, tbh, i would rather not be at hing since i doubt frontier could make breeding anything other than tedious Number 1 i agree with too but id be happy with waterfall objects that we can place
One thing I'd differ to u is about management. I care less about Park management, than I do animal management, and I don't just mean arbitrary numbers. I mean truly new, immersive features, they did this in JWE2 with Palaeomedical aspects, but habitat cleanliness (why don't our dinosaurs poo), a shelter need, enrichment, more diverse dietary and social needs and enclosure comfort are some things necessary for me personally. The animals are rather lacking for what is functionally a zoo game. We are here for the animals, they should be the key to management, not changing what numbers are displayed on your ammenities because there's a fish tank (that you can't see) 'in' it. This felt especially annoying in the campaign, where you weren't building parks, you were building sanctuaries, but the animal management didn't make it worthwhile. I'd want them to take inspiration from Planet Zoo and Zoo Tycoon to see how they could improve this aspect, as I think immersion in regards to the animals is a crucial part of the game that needs development, and is the most lacking aspect in terms of management also. Adding tiny creature enclosures would also add a new way to manage our creature. Land, air and marine interactions would provide far greater dangers and risks for breakouts and managing the saftey of your enclosures. For instance, the risk of your mosasaur attacking guests, beaching itself, attacking vehicles. The risk of your dinosaurs wandering into the lagoon when they break out, being eaten by something, and thus losing you time and money. (In regards to difficulty and management, i think they should increase both the severity and rarity of severe weather, so its more of a rare, but severe challenge to overcome, rather than the nusance they are in JWE1 and 2, not to mention being more dramatic and cinematic).
I would argue that what you mention about creature / animal management IS part of 'Park management' for a zoo. I dont differenetiate between then since they are both reliant on each other
In my opinion the games core features need the most work. Adding more bloat in the form of more animals is not as important as key changes to game play as highlighted in the video. Having a mammoth or sabretooth cat will not make me buy the game without far greater alterations
Just the other day, my game crashed. maybe a week ago, not sure. all because of a bug/glitch. There is a 90% chance I won't be getting JWE 3 simply because of the bugs and glitches, even Skyrim handles them better and that game is going on 15 years old...
I hope they ditch the cobra engine that they use and switch to unreal. It'd make the game look so much better as well as run much smoother - especially for console players
Well theres a few problems with that Cobra is a propiertry software, so it means that its perfectly set up for everything Frontier wants to do with it. If they switched to unreal they would basicially have to start everything from scratch. Your talking about decades of work having to be remade. Secondly there is no gaurentee that the game would run better on unreal engine. How a game runs is down to a lot more than just the engine. Thirdly, most of the perfomance issues that console players suffer are due to console hardware limitations, not the engine. No matter how much console gamers say, PCs are still and always will be more powerful.
@@tri-clawgaming7682 Fair point. I moved from xbox to PC fairly recently, and the difference is night and day. And yh, I agree that changing the engine is probably way too much work for one year-although I do hope they improve the engine at least. On that note, tho, is one year really enough for us to see real change? Typical games of JWE's scale take two or more years to develop. Yes, they don't have to reprogram fundamental things, but I'm beginning to doubt if a year is enough to add things like baby dinosaurs, a better terrain system, life-like guests, etc., while also improving current gameplay. I know they probably want to release with the hype of JW4, but I'm sure most fans won't mind waiting for a game that's more worth buying.
fromtier generally takes two years on their games (based on planet coasters and jwe1s revealed dev time.) so its likely that JWE3 has been in development since last year

Agree with the mini enclosures thing but it wouldnt be a make or break for me.

Better terraforming seems to be a common request
@tri-clawgaming7682 i will die on this hill.🤣
for me JWE3 needs about the same things
bridges
a more balanced star rating system (im a challenge mode enthusiast)
better lagoons
walking pterosaurs
im not like- super demanding bc imma be fr my dino tism will get it no matter what lmfao
lol im gunna try to be a lot more strict with myself this time round

Better economy
Better terrain tools + proper semiaquatics
Better creature AI: walking for pterosaurus, combat overhauled and more social animations
Slightly better graphics
Few redesigns for some species like acrocanthosaurus and carcharodontosaurus
More attractions
More decorations
Improved territory system
More patterns
More type of fences
More type of paths
Overhauled biomes so we can see inside forests
Overhaul of the aviaries and lagoons
1 thing less and i wont even bother with the next game
Quite a list. I will be interested to see if they match your requirements

all good needs.

Oh totally. JWE2 was definantly not the big upgrade we hoped for.
I love your new logo! It looks so cool!
Thank you ^^
I just got weary buying dlc's for the past 2 games. Either way I really need a break from the series.
so youd rather they didnt make a third game?
@@tri-clawgaming7682 They won't see another cent from me either way. If I do get back into the genre my money will go to Prehistoric Kingdom at least.
Very good thoughts - I agree ☝🏻
thank you ^^

All good points. Unfortunantly given the launch of Planet Coaster 2, i think Frontier are going to double down on the DLC focus
@tri-clawgaming7682 a shame..... the creatures at launch need to at least be all the ones we have received and not one removed to occupy a DLC slot.
