when the object travels so fast, it's movement trajectory, which calculated every frame, becomes so long that it project pass through a wall collision allowing it to tunnel pass through. what makes the egg travel fast is the propelled force from the TNT as well, but the pig behind it gives a massive boost to the egg speed, so most of the pig momentum is transferred to the egg, this is why the egg clipped and the pig didn't. I entirely made this up
alot of games use "steps" when finding location. It splits up where you could be in 1 frame, and will move you as far as it can until hit collision on a step. If you make the steps miss collision, it simply will pass through. The most common place where this is referenced is Mario 64 speedruns, which uses quatersteps.
Subnautica have it too. On my "gaming" laptop it has 15 - 45 FPS and when I hit max speed at the ground I go pass threw it. The worst part was when my prawn just go threw ground and endlessly goes down

Sadge
quantum tunneling or something idk i'm not a physicist
Kinetic energy surpasses the electromagnetic force
next up: "wait what (bad piggies entire game phases through computer screen)"
wait what
