And not just the tourists. When I was working for my godmom's acting studio in Manhattan, I would have to take the " F " back to Queens at 12 or 1 a.m. And yet I don't remember CONSCIOUSLY DRESSING DOWN! When I go to the Wharf I take a handbag that I bought at Goodwill for 6 bucks and I leave my rings and pendants at home.

@@khantra4568 Perhaps, but why bother vacationing in high crime areas in the first place? Granted that some people will go to SF anyway, but that city's tolerance for homeless junkies leaving syringes and broken liquor bottles laying around Civic Center BART station has been going on since before Spring of 2012. It was bad then and quite a bit worse now.

It was like this four years ago. The car rental agent told us “don’t park the car anywhere with anything in it”. We could not spend anytime, or money, exploring SF because we were driving to Northern California but it would have been nice to spend half a day there. The agent said the criminals knew they would not be arrested so many were breaking into cars to get what they could without penalty.

That's a lie. SFPD's funding has increased every year, with SF mayor asking for $14.6 billion in police funding this year, with an additional $27.6 million in police overtime. The right wing makes up facts as they go. Bring the facts or go home.

I mean with these leftists even if they don’t reduce their police force and increase spending to have a larger budget for the police department like they did in New York, it still won’t make a difference. The core issues are the current policies their leftists citizens vote for. The police can’t do a damn thing about all the crime even if they catch these thugs regardless of how many cops there are. Proposition 47 implemented broad changes to felony sentencing laws. It reclassified theft and drug possession offenses from felonies to misdemeanors. It authorizes defendants currently serving sentences for felony offenses that would have qualified as misdemeanors under the proposition to petition courts for resentencing under the new misdemeanor provisions. Releasing 100s of 1,000s immediately. Among many other things but it gets worse... you then passed Proposition 57 that made 47 10X worse and I will tell you about them when I have more time.
