You should have this guy on more than once a year. Someone that knows a position in depth is far more interesting to listen to than a beat reporter giving their opinions.

Ranking the Cowboys #6 based on the crazy high projection of two rookies and handwaving Steele's bad year as injury related. Woof.

Where would you rank them instead?

They do have one of if not the best Guard combos in the league

@@TheAthleticNFL Probably average to below average 16th-20th to be fair. They lost Tyron Smith who was playing well, and lost Tyler Biadsz who was a starting caliber center. Everyone likes to do the whole " awww this team took Tyler Smith and he became a good player so therefore all the offensive linemen they take will succeed. I wonder where this magic was for someone like Evan Neal for the Giants, every1 gave this exact same reasoning for why Evan Neal would get better going into year 2 since that's what Andrew Thomas did, its lazy analysis.

@@TheAthleticNFL I would rank them in the 15ish range. They absolutely deserve benefit of the doubt but cmon, projecting rookies must lower their standing

Our Ravens O'line is going to be the most interesting watch for training camp, and preseason.

As a Ravens fan, the standard is the standard.
Simpson was the weakest o line we had and often needed double teams. I believe Vorhees if not for anything else will probably strength and physicality to o line.
Ben will replace Zeitler who also will provide more strength. You can actually watch Ben in game reps when Zeitler went down. Lamar perfect passer rating game in MIA Ben started.
Rosengarten does have strength issues but is the perfect fit because they like to pull the RT and run zone. People forget Mosses hurt his shoulder against CLV and was rotating most of the year with Falealee. Rose at worst will be able to replicate that play.
Overall this projected o line has a higher floor and ceiling IMO.

All over it. Awesome show. Thorne is legit. I knew you'd mention Layden Robinson for the Pats. If he (at LG) and Wallace (at RT) work out, which I think they will, I'm fairly optimistic for the group. Assuming they land in the correct spots.
Chuks looks better on the left (in college) than his time at Pittsburgh on the right to me. Full team rebuild regardless. Strange stinks. Sow is a backup. Mafi should play FB. Ha. Go Pats.

Absolute homerism but I think the Vikings are going to sneak up on people this year. Bookend tackles, probably a top 3 pairing, with Darrisaw still getting better. Ed Ingram seems to have shaken off a terrible rookie season to be league-average in year 2, feels like a developmental player who is figuring it out year to year. Bradbury seems to have found a way to stop getting forklifted by anyone over 300lbs, and then there's the unknown quantity of Brandel who is if nothing else very large and the team seem to really like. Also can't discount the impact of the QB as Brandon said, and whoever is starting they're definitely more mobile than Kirk which should help them to look better.

Robert keeps mentioning that the Raiders released Simpson in the middle of the year. For McDaniels to out right release him at the time absolutely made no sense and he never provided an explanation . Alex Bars played RG and was absolutely terrible that year. Bars got hurt during that TNF game against the Rams where Baker had that miracle comeback. Simpson came in for him and played fine the rest of the game and was released two days later . Mays can ask his colleagues Vic, Ted, Tashan about this. Simpson was a Gruden draft pick so they had no allegiance to him but still.

I wish he'd spoken about them. I'd have been able to ask _HOW EVERY_ "analyst" making videos on them ignores all that happens in the 1st 23 minutes of th-cam.com/video/FiiK21VzI_o/w-d-xo.html when it happens So Often.
Honestly, when Fields called out "my coaches" publicly & everyone including fans dropped that story I started thinking that the conspiracy to sabotage his career is league-wide. His o-line Actively Avoids making _any_ blocks. His #1 WR for two years couldn't catch passes that hit him in the hands th-cam.com/video/glpaya0xz-4/w-d-xo.html & if not due to play-calling, why didn't any coach fix what he does 11 minutes into th-cam.com/video/0nd2Ac1haEQ/w-d-xo.html.
      But this was about o-line.

Chargers line will be much improved just by scheme alone. Not exposing J Herbert to 50+ dropbacks because they have no run game. No more putting the line in must dropback known passing situations. If Alt hits theyll have a top 3 tackle duo in the league. But we are going to hype the cowboys who have a lower rated prospect stepping into left tackle and the buccaneers just because we think the interior is going to improve? Ok, sure...

    • @ChewsCarefully
      @ChewsCarefully 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

Maybe. Kellen Moore seems to have come to the conclusion the last two years that the simpler the plays are, the better everything is for the QB. Yet his favorite play neutered Herbert completely & was The Reason Dak led the league in INTs th-cam.com/video/9IjgyFHdVVs/w-d-xo.html despite missing 5 games. His schemes are So Simple no defense fails to defend them.
