It is a shame how Marilyn was treated and abused growing up. I am sure it affected her view of herself for the rest of her life. Thanks for the road trip Jordan, the food looked great.
Jordan, I just love your vlogs about Hollywood and the Los Angeles area. I can honestly say that I've learned more about Hollywood and all the stars that were a part of the movie scene from the Golden Age to today from your vlogs than I have in the entire rest of my life! Thank You!!
Toluca Lake is the best!!! I lived there for many years, loved it so very much!!! Many celebrities reside there! The homes are beautiful! Every xmas eve, they have what's called The Magical Xmas Caroling Truck; a xmas decorated 18 wheeler truck filled with carolers, drives through the neighborhood spreading holiday cheer, a 30+ year tradition, all put on by neighborhood volunteers. I recently read a church organization that operated the event for all those years, discontinued it. But a Toluca Lake resident has taken it over to save the tradition. This tradition made living there extra special!! Just an all around great neighborhood!!! I'm a new subscriber and love your videos!
4:49 I'm in love with this house. I want this house. In my opinion, Marilyn was more beautiful prior to bleached hair and heavy makeup. The beach photos exhibit extraordinary natural beauty. Great video, loved Bob's Big Boy but missed Jah immensely.
I’m so jealous watching you eating that burger and fries - I love that location. I’m taking a trip over there this week- some things can’t be denied! Fantastic vlog Jordan - MM was certainly determined to rise above her circumstances!
Hi Jordan, this is one lady who really had a tough life from start to finish, her rollercoaster life never stopped running. Nice that another location has survived and not changed. Your Big Boy looked fantastic. Great vlog Jordan.
Another great vlog Jordan! I have loved Marilyn forever. A deeply misunderstood woman, who was, by all accounts very funny, witty and kind with those she trusted. Amazing the house is still there! Say hi to Jah from Australia!!!
Loved the vlog. I worked at Bobs Big Boy in the Bay Area during my early twenties - mid 1980's. The company did very good training and cared about their employees and food quality. I had fun working for Bob's. That is sad how Marilyn was abused in foster care. I think she had a unsettling abusive childhood. Even though she died before I was born, I want to put my arms around her hug her and tell her "Everything is going to be okay." She developed into a good actress and her soul shines through. She was vulnerable and had a lot of most at the same time. TY Jordan for creating this vlog.
I've had dinner at that Beatles' table! (Not since COVID-19, of course!) Bob's Big Boy has been one of my favorite places for years! Killer food and fun retro atmosphere. But I never knew Marilyn lived in Burbank. Loved that sweet little house and, as you said, it's a beautiful neighborhood. Thanks so much for sharing part for your day with us, Jordan!
I can’t believe that Marilyn would have been 58 years. Like so many stars, they are kept alive by either their music or films on TV. Only the other day we some like it hot on TV here in the UK, one of my favourite films. Great vlogs that you do, keep them coming. David UK
VERY AWESOME! I had no idea Marylin had lived in so many places. I couldn’t help wonder if the current house occupants knew that MM once graced their home???? thanks Jordan YOU ROCK!
Good morning Jordan! I'm well. It's 6:57 am and you've got me drooling for a Bob's Big Boy burger! It has been a long while since I've had one. We had a BBB here in Montebello when I was growing up. And then it turned into a Cocos. Sad day for us. Well, I've enjoyed this mornings vlog on Marilyn. Thanks for all you do!
Its sad really left this world way to early .. wonder what Marilyn would think 60 years later that she is still loved and adored by many ..... loving your vlogs Jordan :)
LOVE YOUR "OLD" HOLLYWOOD AND SURROUNDING AREAS BLOGS...BRINGS BACK MEMORIES FOR THIS 82 YEAR OLD ...NEVER MISS ONE OF THESE...GLAD TO SEE YOU ARE STICKING AROUND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA LONGER .....
Thank you for this wonderful Marilyn Monroe home vlog. You are the consummate docu storyteller. To think that Marilyn had been told she wasn't photogenic enough when she started out.....
Thank you for the history! Love It! Poor Norma. Wow, in 1946 divorce was practically unheard of. I knew her background was somewhat rough but never realized how rough it was.
Hi Jordan. You're right. It's amazing how many places Marilyn lived. You wonder if she was so used to being shuffled around so often in the foster care system that she thought that was the norm to move often. We have Big Boy here in Michigan but I 'll have to find out which type. I hope ours never closes. Stay safe and thank you for another old Hollywood gem. I just love them. Have a great day, my friend. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵
Thank you Jordan! Marilyn is dear to my heart. I’ve loved her since I was a little kid. She caught my eye when I went to the library. I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. I read a biography about her when I was 9 years old. Something was so ethereal about her. I was born way after she passed( ( 1978) 😄. She was an amazing woman, and was Way before her time in many ways! It means a lot to watch these Vlogs! Millions of thanks!💞
I'm always amazed at your research and how you put your vlogs together... also I'm trying to decide where I can now find the best onion rings and burger for lunch today in my small town :). Thank you Jordan!
HeyJordan. Great vlog. Including a stop gif lunch was a great touch and useful for a future LA visitor. Idea - why don’t you consider assembling a series of guides to visiting LA with existing vlogs and original material. Early Hollywood, old theaters, cemeteries, star homes, eats, etc. Mostly walking tours but include transportation advice if sites are far apart. TH-cam them or have them for sale on a web site. Just an idea. All the success, Jordan.
I met Drew carrey at that Bobs big boy back in 2005, he was a regular at the counter area. ! he was the sweetest man, very poilte and gratious! Took a pic with him! Great memory n great food!
That was really great seeing MM earlier house. She had a tough childhood. That burger and onion rings looked so good, nice and fresh. I miss your junk food so much.
Thanks for another interesting video Jordan! I love the whether there... sun is shining. We can trouble thanks to you in this quarantine. Lots of love from Germany! Enjoy that yummy Hamburger
OMG... the burger and onion rings looked SO GOOD! Doesn't help that it's getting close to my lunchtime ;) LoL! I miss Bob's Big Boy...we used to have them out this way but they're long gone. Enjoy your day Jordan!
Jordan I always enjoy your videos.. I thought on this one you were going to do more of the places where Marlyn lived.. the Burger DID look yummy,,, Hey are you moving from L.A. I thought in one of your other vids you said you were moving?
Good morning Jordan from New Zealand Marilyn Monroe, I wake up to her every day on my wall . She lived such an interesting life , my wife was captivated by her as a child hence the beautiful and rear pictures we have of her. The photo in front of the house is still the same absolutely, even the letter box . My wife will enjoy watching this video. The 🍔and onion rings on point glad you ate there, supporting local businesses essential to the community. Take care JORDAN hugs to 🐶JAH.😎👍
I love Toluca Lake. Marilynn Monroe was a really wholesome looking girl. I loved seeing her dressed in 1940s skirt below the knee and blouse and those broad heeled high heels. Such a pretty girl. She used to like to go to Santa Monica and dance when she was really young, my mother n law would see her often. She worked at some of the nice restaurants around that area. That was way before she had bleached hair. I can imagine she was shy. I really loved that girl. I remember when she passed. Our entire home was in mourning from older adults and young ppl alike. Great vlog Jordan as always. I missed Jah today! Bob's Big Boy has retained it's original interior. It was just like stepping into a much happier time when you went in and ordered your takeout! Thanks sooo much.❤

This is one residence i didn’t know about. it is pretty eery how that photo you found if her lines up with the doorway. the neighborhood is so charming too.
It's always interesting to hear more about Marilyn's life, and to be able to see the places she lived really adds a lot to the story. Thanks for all you do Jordan...and thanks for making me want a big boy when I'm way over in Italy! lol

58 years that Marilyn Monroe has passed. But her memory keeps alive thanks to people like you.
It is a shame how Marilyn was treated and abused growing up. I am sure it affected her view of herself for the rest of her life. Thanks for the road trip Jordan, the food looked great.
Like everyone else. It's horrible
Really enjoyed this video. Marilyn was such a beauty and is missed. Great that you added the original photo with Marilyn in front of the house!

Another fine Southern California residential vlog and of course Marilyn Monroe is an added bonus.
Pockets of beautiful areas.
That neighborhood really is lovely! I love how no two houses are alike!
Poor Marilyn really did have a lot of abuse in her life... so tragic💔

Hi Jordan, this is one lady who really had a tough life from start to finish, her rollercoaster life never stopped running. Nice that another location has survived and not changed. Your Big Boy looked fantastic. Great vlog Jordan.
Very cool that Marilyn's house is so unchanged & the Big Boy is awesome ! Great 🍔 & 🍟 & shake. Its almost like 1950.
It's kind of nice also to see what the rest of the house looks like since that was the only picture of her there I could find..
@@DazewithJordantheLion Love your vlogs! Thanks 😊

It definitely was tumultuous

Classic Jordan Vlog at his best in classic Hollywood. Only thing I missed was a trip to the post office. Great job 👏
Enjoyed seeing Big Boy. I am from southwestern PA and they were everywhere here when I was growing up. Ours had the tartar sauce too.
I haven't seen one here in NJ for about 25-30 years. It was a treat to go as a kid & get extra fixings just to make the burger to big to bite.😆
Such a lovely lady gone too soon. It was eerie to match up photos. Thanks, Jordan!
Thank you for this wonderful Marilyn Monroe home vlog. You are the consummate docu storyteller. To think that Marilyn had been told she wasn't photogenic enough when she started out.....

The story worth might be telling is when she lived at 2393 Castilian Drive, up in the Outpost Estates, when she first was married to Joe DiMaggio, you always have a great story, but I think this would be enjoyable one to watch. Or so I have read. Thank-you Jordan, just love your videos.
Tragic Story 💔.. Great Post Jordan ☮️☮️
Great video Jordan, luv too see videos about Veronica Lake and Rita Hayworth.
Dear Jordan-- #Wow Excellent vlog with great info! My grandmother had a close friend who worked with Marilyn at the Radioplane factory in Van Nuys. They stayed in touch for many years, as Marilyn's fame slowly grew. I have read Marilyn also had a job at a plant right across from Olive Recreation Center in Burbank, Calif. Included is a house in Las Vegas that appears to still be there -- where she stayed to get her 6 week divorce in 1946. The Misfits era: MM stayed at Edith Palmer's Bed and Breakfast in Virginia City, Nevada for over a week, around the time they were shooting "The Misfits"-- that BnB is still there. Cincinnati, Oh, Frisch’s big boy. Oh yay!
I haven't eaten at a BIG Boys restaurant since 1984 in Anchorage,Alaska..I sure Miss BIG boy's food!
My grandma loved the Frisch's Big Boy sauce!
Really liked your blog on Marilyn Monroe, it's said that people took so advantage of her and she sadly died at an early age. It would have been nice to see what else she could have done in her career. So nice to still see a Bob's Big Boy open. I think most of them are gone now.
I really hate to be redundant Jordan but you really do produce the best content. You’re as amazing as that big boy burger!!
I enjoyed this one. Thanks Jordan.
We had Frisch's in my home town my favorite was definitely The Big Boy! You can order a Big Mac without Mac sauce & add tartar it's similar to the Big Boy but not as good. Great Vlog!
