God, I just felt chills and dread the whole time and then when it got to the family picnic I just started crying. From the ominous flashing of the police lights in the background, to the white-blue reflection of screens on people's faces, to the warm glow of the picnic light, these shots convey so much, so simply and so subtly. You have the Black runner always being pursued by this omnipresent danger. You have the white families, comfortable, safe, and distracted in their homes, who don't even see it. You have the warmth and love and joy of the Black family just trying to live their lives, with your beautiful harmonies just underscoring that scene. And you have all the people horrified by what they are witnessing, and Justice hears it, and turns to see what they see, but can't. All the people out running to find Justice, masks and all. Truly, truly beautifully and powerfully done.
The amount of power this song and video capture is amazing. There are tears in my eyes for several reasons watching this video. The seer shame that our country " The Land of The Free and the Home of the Brave" still has no idea what those words mean. The ideas that built this country to this day remain nothing but words. it seems as though the Goddess Justice has turned her back to America. To this day we still fight for our rights as humans. All Good People to me is a song about coming together to bring Justice back. To finally create an America that is truly what it claims to be. Never in the history of America has everyone truly been free and equal. the fight did not end with slavery, it did not end with the civil rights movement. The fight is still going strong. We can't hold our breath forever while our brothers cannot breathe. Raise your voice. Bring Justice back.
I'm a 66 year old white woman that hears and even understands the truth of your words. Thank you for writing this. Wish everyone could watch this video and read your words. May this great nation/world finally get it! Peace and love to all. 🖤💜💙🇺🇸
Once again you have proven that you are sadly overlooked by too many. Songs with a message, amazing vocals and musicianship. What else can anyone ask for?
I have chills! I already loved this song when I first heard it, but this longer version is amazing. And the video is right. We say "justice is blind," but that's the problem, isn't it. Justice comes from change, and a "blind" system can change nothing.
love how everyone of your songs tells a story and this song in particular is powerful. You are my favorite band. I started listening to you from a single of the week on Itunes years back and you have only gotten better over the years.
I have been standing alone.trying to get justice for my dad.but sadly NOBODY wants to listen or help at all. My dad Victor Alfonso Reyna was “Found”died in a cell,at the Robertson unit,In Texas on March 4 ,2019,he was only 28 years old. I don’t know the full story of it,because I don’t think my mom didn’t want me to know about what happened to him,but this is what I know so My dad had a phone, don’t know how,but he had one,He was EATING and SITTING when 2 guards came and Grabed him throw him in a cell,Beat him, pepper spread him,And well this was happening my dads bunk’d mate was Texting my grandma And the family and telling them what was happening,Later my dad died,They said there was “no fail play”and The thing is,they didn’t even Call My grandma or any of his family to let them know about his passing they were going to bury him there at the prison, and say he had no family, when he did,My grandma got a lawyer,But there was nothing they can do,because they got rid of the evidence,Yesterday I asked my mom if those Guards, lost there jobs,or got arrested for killing my dad,she said no,they killed him and got away with it
@@hypnotiq.rodriguez you're young. You don't deserve to be exposed to the cruelties of this world. I'm sorry such an evil thing happened. I hope you find peace. There will be a day when justice reigns; I hope to see you there.
💗 from Norway. What a beautiful song, and powerful video. I wish it encourages Americans to go out to make a change to day. Vote! Not only for your own country, but for the world and our common future 💚
I remembered this song again after the album dropped on spotify. I wish it were less relevant rather than more than ever. So many names that have been overlooked by the people being blind. The family that remains watching the TV. They aren't bad people, they're just oblivious, distracted or unaware. Don't be distracted. Be aware. Be there!
The quality of the song, the video, the message are just on a whole other level to everything else I've seen from ya'll, and you were already one my favorite bands! So proud to be a fan of yours! Black Lives Matter!
Wow. This gave me chills. Such an amazing and powerful video, that is sadly something many of our African American brothers, sisters and Enbies are going through today.
Beautifully done, Delta Rae. ❤️❤️ Thank you. A powerful music video for the times we are living in, and an enduring reminder that the liberty and justice we cherish are meant to be for ALL.
I don't normally cry due to hearing music.. but I did this time. I listened to the version of this song posted years ago and I'm astonished at how amazing the completed version is. Thank you, Delta Rae
I LOVE your guys poetic lyrics! You guys deserve way more credit. I would much rather listen to this than a song repeating the same line over and over again. You will always have a fan with me!
What’s crazy is this song was made in 2015 and the video in 2020. The lyrics about not breathing were years before George Floyd. But here it is to remind us the problems we had years ago are still present today.
Exactly!!!!!! I saw this in 2015 in Buffalo New York at a Showplace I worked for. The house wasnt full so I got let go early and stayed. When this song was revealed the crowd went kinda dead (mostly white) but all of the black people who work there and some of the white people stopped working and we just had a the most transcedant experience.
I have mixed feelings that we're getting a music video for this song. On the one hand, it's a powerful song and whenever I listen to it I'm brought to tears. On the other it's heartbreaking that it has remained so relevant to the climate in America for so long. We need real change in this country, for all of our brothers and sisters. Today is Election Day in the US. Please vote if you haven't already!
REAL change starts with abandoning the politicians in the Dem and Repub parties who place corporate interests and profits over people. What we did with Biden is just damage control. We need much bolder action. We need to bolster the progressive movement and make our demands heard while refusing to cave over some "electability" farce.
@@WJames-vk2kp Exactly. We have to hold Biden/Harris accountable during their time. We have to start building our communities from the ground up with people who will actually fight for their people, and not for their power. The old guard has to give way. Young people have to keep showing up to vote. Every election. Local & federal. Start pushing for a ranked choice voting system (Maine did it this year). So many people are still in power b/c they've never been challenged! Heck, if you have the drive for it, hook up with runforsomething.org they help grass roots campaigns.
Every once in a while I stumble upon a song that I didn't know I needed or wanted to hear. This is one of those. I'm not American but this music still rings true for the current problems of my country.
@@ryanmulvihill-pretak6602 from what I watched it’s about police brutality and racism etc. the facts don’t point to this being a widespread issue. It’s at the point where if someone attempts to kill a cop and they kill them in defense, suddenly the cop is the bad guy. More innocent black lives have been taken as a result of these riots this year than cops have taken in years. Everyone wants to feel good about themselves by being mad at an issue that doesn’t exist. It’s sad how little truth matters these days. I’m not saying it never happens, but not to the point where some random guy has to feel scared to take a jog because it’s a pandemic
Since the dawn of time humans have always needed to put the Kind back in HumanKind, I hope, pray, and wish that the Someday will always be Today and if not maybe Tomorrow. Beautiful song and video!
A deep introspection at issues that affect us all. On a different side of the boarder from myself, but emotionally hit home. Such a beautiful video, a video held in solidarity with a call for action- for the good people to do something! Thank you Delta Rae for your insight, artistic and aesthetic beauty, and vocals. May it be a catalyst for change!
OMG, this version is far more powerful than the original. This is an instant potent standard for our lives today. Thank you, Delta Rae! I love you best :)
Wow. Really packs a punch. I was on the verge of tears throughout, and when Justice (Brittany) started screaming....! Really important music/message. Thank you.
