This is a beautiful piece! I would love to see the additional top stitching you did and how you decided on going about that process. I love top stitching as well and it always feels like it makes a piece more professional. Again, beautiful work!
I don’t need visa or work on this channel, I just want to say, that I loved watching this video!!! So inspiring, so stylisch, aesthetic and also very calming tutorial! I did a merchant and mils pattern ones and I totally understand your struggles with some steps 😴😊
Thank you!! I bought it new! Definitely an investment, but more affordable than most vintage machines at this point. Plus it was nice to not worry about the process of validating used machines, since I’m not an expert on that at all haha 😅
Thank you! Good point, I definitely think it would be easier to do the stitching before assembly haha. It’s been a bit since I made this so I can’t remember exactly why I decided to do it this way, but my guess is that I wanted to make sure I knew where the placement of the graphic would end up on the finished jacket.
I’ve been in a work/chore jacket binge rn and I have to say yours is one of the neatest and most unique I’ve seen!
Thank you!!! :-)
yay, another new sewing channel to watch!

I'd like to get a chain stitch machine for denim logos. Yours turned out great! Thanks for introducing the Consew brand. On the look out now.
Thank you!! Good luck in your search!
This is great. Glad I stumbled upon your channel!
Thank you!!! Glad you enjoyed :-)
Looks great, love the embroidery. I made the same jacket in blue a couple of years ago and used a contrasting fabric for the under collar.
Thank you! That’s an awesome idea, I might have to steal it if I make another one someday 😁

Nice! Looks dope. How did you acquire your chain stitch machine?
Thank you!! I bought it new! Definitely an investment, but more affordable than most vintage machines at this point. Plus it was nice to not worry about the process of validating used machines, since I’m not an expert on that at all haha 😅
Great work! However, wouldn't it have been easer to stitch the graphic prior to sewing the jacket together?
Thank you! Good point, I definitely think it would be easier to do the stitching before assembly haha. It’s been a bit since I made this so I can’t remember exactly why I decided to do it this way, but my guess is that I wanted to make sure I knew where the placement of the graphic would end up on the finished jacket.
Do chore jackets need lining and interfacing ? or can it be made with out?
I think it just depends on your preference! They often don’t have a lining, but you could definitely add one
Do you just pre print the design on your stabilizer? What brand of stabilizer do you use?
Yes! I use a stabilizer from Madeira USA called EZ Tear (The soft, 1.8 oz that comes on a roll), and it prints super well :)
hello are there any other pattern sellers with the same aesthetic as merchant and mills you know of for chore coats etc ?
Whats the name of the fabric which you have used
what thread are you using on your chain stitch machine? :)
Burmilana wool thread from Madeira!!
M A D E I N U S A
Excuse me, could you tell me the name of this sewing thread and where I can buy it?
