    We had a 1968 and easily skied one, almost got two up behind it, amazingly torquey engines :)

    Alright alright I subscribed for ya...
    I got the Evinrude 33hp skitwin same year 1966.
    It’s gonna power my 1969 Barracuda hydrocycle, I got a video on my channel for the ‘cuda, just got it hopefully be done by next summer.
    Just got the motor buttoned up after almost a complete overhaul, did the gear case seals, water pump, changed from long to short shaft, carb kit, new points and coils, retapped several stripped bolt holes, and more I can’t remember...

    Thanks for the explainations! I worked with few engines of that years and these kinds of informations are always usefull. Actually i am restoring the same engine.
    After i restarted end setted the carburettor, i saw an other problem: at minimum rotation It over heats up to 230°F, It take ten minutes but increase, but just i insert the Gear even without accelerate, the temperatur drop quikly at 100°F.
    At maximum Power the same hottest parts of Power head mantain among 158/170°F.
    May be It normal than at low rotation without Gear in, It over heats?

      im just assuming here that maybe it just doesnt pump water that fast and may cool better at higher revs?

      Put a manual jack plate on the boat so you can lower the motor 5 inches.

    I subscribed to your channel, I have a Johnson 33hp with a stripped spark plug & I need a bolt/bolts for the fly wheel. Hopefully I’ll luck into a solid running motor. Keep up the solid contact BUT I suggest you spring for a mic you can clip to your shirt, makes a world of difference

      THANK YOU MY MAN FOR THE SUB!! So with the spark plug I used a heli coil kit in another video i can link you! or you can just change out the head! And I actually have a lapel MIC but my camera doesn't have a jack so I'm looking into getting a recorder!! But awesome TIP and THANK YOU!!

    Hey again Bill! Any way to dm you? I bought a parts 33hp long shaft that I’ll be removing for a short shaft. I’m in Canada but those boarders will reopen someday! On twitter I’m @robbiebaseball1
    Also, can’t get mine to start but I think it’s carb/fuel pump related. $100 motor rebuild!!

      Ok, here’s my issue. She turns but won’t catch. Fuel is getting to the carb because it’s leaking out a bit. Do I need a carb rebuild kit or could it be another issue? Thanks!

    • @BlackoutBilll21
      @BlackoutBilll21  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Moparfest_Robbie if fuel is leaking out of the carb when you push the primer bulb you have a bad needle or needle seat. You need to take the carb apart then install a new kit!. Next check compression and make sure you have spark
