      ehhh, about a 3 year old tutorial haha. Maybe it was Epic back then before gym videos became saturated. Either way, can't complain about people giving out free game to up and coming videographers. Wish I had these types of videos to follow along with way back when I first picked up a camera

    • @RoyalZProduction
      @RoyalZProduction  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When I film with Adam, we typically like to start setting up around 11PM and then start filming around midnight until 2 AM. Pretty crazy hours but it's clutch when theres nobody else around and the shoot moves quicker. However, if there are people at the gym, we just use areas of the gym that don't have people working out at. You kinda gotta get creative with your environment but people have always been cool with staying out of our way while we're filming at have been super respectful.

    • @speliotis
      @speliotis 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RoyalZProduction thats cool. Ive photographed a lot of routines for magazines in the past & have a few sessions of filming in Gyms... Yeah creative direction is key.... 11pm is a crazy time to start.... you guys have a lot of stamina.... & Thanks for putting this together I shared with a fitness instructor I work with & she was blown away !!! appreciate what you've done here.

      It totally depends. A lot of the time I'll just use the lighting at the gym but if we have access to a private gym or at a gym late at night like the one we're filming in in this video, we'll cut the lights sometimes if its past midnight and theres nobody at the gym.

    I see there is some light flicker. How do you correct that?

    • @RoyalZProduction
      @RoyalZProduction  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To correct that, film in 24fps, 30fps or 60fps. Anything over 60fps and you will see the flicker (I was shooting at 120fps and the lights started to flicker)

    Hey bro, awesome vid, i noticed wen u shoot in 150fps the lights in the room tend to flicker... did u realize this too late? Did u not mind this? Is there a solution ? Thanks 🙏 love your channel learning a lot from u

      @RoyalZProduction  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I didn't notice the flicker until after we filmed those shots! Hence why I swapped to 60fps for the remaining slow motion clips. Unfortunately there isn't much solution other than filming in a frame rate no more than 60fps rather than something like 72fps, 120fps, 180fps etc etc

      RoyalZProduction actually there may be a solution, i haven’t tried this but watched it on Daniel schiffers latest vid. Try changing to 150fps and increase your shutter to more than double. Eg 120FPS = 1/240... try 1/245 or more. Thanks 🙏

      Changing the shutter angle on the gh5 should help right?

    • @pixelpearlproduction538

      bushboxer watch Daniel schiffers recent video about filming a boring small tv. He explains this. Play around with shutter angle helps reduce light flicker.

    What an amazing video. Just want to know what camera settings you are using , ISO,Appreature, because I have Nikon 5300 which supports Appreature 3.2 , what's your suggestion brother ?

    • @RoyalZProduction
      @RoyalZProduction  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used ISO 640, Aperture 1.8-2.8, shutter speed either 1/50 (24fps), 1/125 (60fps) and 1/320 (150fps)
