I’ve heard or read quite often in the last year that the new S1000R doesn’t quite stir the soul - and I’ll admit that was accurate when my S1000R was delivered last May. I was very disappointed in its character and immediately regretted selling my 2018 Street Triple 765 RS for it (S1000R was bought last March without a test ride). Obviously today’s bikes are very restricted when coming from the factory, so I hoped that the BrenTune and it’s ability to keep the exhaust valve open would improve my feelings for the S1000R. That was an easy upgrade and it did help improve my opinion. But oh man, after finally removing the stock header / cats and installing Arrow headers a couple of months ago (keeping the stock end can), I have never once felt that the S1000R is anything other than a caged animal. Here’s to the popping/growling/crackling/bubbling/nasty soul of an uncorked S1000R. Enjoy your bike and its new soul.
Totally agree…! Felt the same with all the restrictions but now it’s a different beast! 1st and 2nd wheels comes off with 75-80% throttle! Brentune and the full headers is a must have mods get full potential out of this bike . I m happy with stage 1 :) Ride safe cheers 🥂
I stuck with a Stage 1 as well. My only requests for BrenTune were to maintain optimal air / fuel mixture with the new Arrow header / midpipe and to retain the factory redline. I like the location / layout of your phone with the Quad Lock stem mount. That mount (with the vibration dampener) will be my next purchase. I have an unused RAM stem mount in my shed, but it won’t fit the S1000R unless I install bar risers. Thank you for the idea.
@@georgenumber4257 best phone mount by far! I do have the vibration damper didn’t install yet, probably soon I will install that before my phone camera goes on vacation for good 😂 I use my phone and a GoPro to make videos on my channel so I need to take care of my phone!
Our local BMW dealership offers Bren tune for $1200 so did it myself! I know tune voids the warranty and it is same for any tune. If something fails badly I will go back to stock tune before visiting the dealer and that the best part of tuning by yourself!
Compaired to your old z900 now that you've had the beemer for a bit is it overkill for the street? By me I'm lucky if I can use half the power on my Z900 and can't even wrap my brain around what these "hyper nakeds" would feel like!!!!
Lol z900 was not that old ;) s1000 in its stock form it’s not a overkill at all but after ECU tune and a full system this bike is pretty fast 💨 but Z900 was not a slow bike at all , I had similar setup with full system with ECU flashed and I used to get wheel come off 1st -and 2nd and same for my s1000r. Yo be honest just like you said I never to take my z900 to its limit as well it’s just me that want to change bike every couple years lol 😂
No I didn’t replace them, I re use the gaskets for the arrow headers and they are absolutely fine! About 600 miles when I installed it , right after 1st service!

We’ll definitely need the vibration dampener installed with all of the accelerating we’re doing 😂.
Do you install the stock tune before going to service your bike with the dealer ? I mean no issues with dealer regarding the warranty on the bike

@@SoloMCRider if your good enough you can can hold it 3rd through fourth
Did you replace the gaskets on the headers when you swapped them out?
How many miles did the bike have at the time you swapped the headers?
