- The 42nd Naga Republic Day was celebrated at CFSB Office, Padumpukhuri on 21st March, 2022 by NSCN/GPRN. In the celebration program NSCN/GPRN President Niki Sumi was also present who spoke on various issues in Nagaland. NSCN/GPRN President, Niki Sumi alleged that NAGA intellectuals misled the general Naga population on history. He further said that the real sacrifice for the Naga cause was done during the time of the NNC

Remarkable speech.. Gen Nikki reiterated again & again that:
1. Each group cannot push their separate/selfish agenda but listen to the aspirations of the Naga people, because they are not fighting for themselves but for the people.
2. Without unity, there’s no point having multiple groups each claiming of their sacrifice because real sacrifice was done only by NNC while the offshoot factions were born because of their individual differences in political opinions.
However he didn’t touch on the topic of multiple taxation. Would have liked to hear about that as well in his distinctly pragmatic & yet so diplomatic and respectful way of putting his point across without being arrogant, radical or being vindictive against anybody. Something to learn indeed!
Bottom line: LISTEN TO THE VOICE & ASPIRATIONS OF THE NAGA PEOPLE, instead of getting carried away by arrogance of only one’s rights & force feeding justifications because people are now more aware, informed & enlightened to be more pragmatic & more importantly mature & allow mutual respect and dialogues instead of monologues; without being selfish and accommodating each other instead of harbouring tribalism!
His speech has definitely triggered the wave for a much needed pragmatic approach towards achieving an inclusive & honourable solution and will go down in the good side of history.

Even after signing peace accord and everything by other UG party he broke the accord and fought for us Naga's for real and without thinking for his family he was away from them for so many years just to fight for the cause of we Naga's and that too he wasn't living a luxury life. He lived in jungles and in very hard terrain. This is what a real fight for nation is. Not only holding meetings or giving interviews. Hats off to you sir.

For long i waited to hear the political speech of a naga leader who would speak without bias and he spoke with the true character of a leader. One must never criticize anyone with an individualized intention and throughout his speeches i felt the spirit of yearning for a united Naga nation. That was a deeply and well pondered presidential speech by and Naga national president till date. This speech conveys the message of a layman Naga.
How we wish, all the NPGs comes together under one common platform and voice out in unison for the Naga interest. The present day scenario is in such a state of chaos that a simple Naga public tends to hate/ fear it's own Naga national fighters rather than honour them.
Must stop this number game because I believe there is no solution in Division.
Need to ponder deeply on the presidential speech irrespective of the group one belongs to.
