One thing I am constantly seeing being left out is the real way on how to start a Vending Machine Business. Finding a location is a later step. Did you form a LLC, LLC-S Corp, Did you draft your articles of formation, EIN, Business Bank Account did you take a loan for your first vending machine, if so how did you get the loan, (SBA, savings, vending company financing, etc.), what business insurance did you get? This is the stuff people who really want to get into vending need to know. Sure 5 digit income is great, but what is the real cost and reward. Your video still hits on important items, like testing the machine before you buy it, if you have cash for the machines offer it up and don't let others get ahead of you, transportation of the machine. But lets talk about it from the very beginning. Let's not assume everyone knows what they need to do prior to scouting for locations. Your video is probably one of the most comprehensive I have seen on this subject. No one has really combined how to start a business and how to get into vending after starting the business. Keep the videos coming!
Wow this is one of the best vending machine business videos I have come across. It was very informative and not discouraging. I feel like you were transparent with the ups and downs in the business. I am more confident now to start investing in vending machines. As a single mom of 3 I am trying to level up in 2023! Yay to almost being monetizing, LOL I cant wait to reach my mark! 🙏
I’m tired of living paycheck-to-paycheck. I know nothing about the vending machine business, but, I do have a solid idea that might just help me make some passive income. Tips & advice is always welcomed. Before I start watching this video, I just want to say that, I look forward to learning from this video. Cheers 👏🏽
Way to go guys! This is so far the best comprehensive video I've watched on starting a vending machine company. You both are well spoken and have a great delivery system with the experience you've had in the industry. I am looking at buying a few for my teenagers to run and start the Entrepreneur bug in them. I would encourage you to start more businesses and post how to videos for those trying to start something new. Great personalities, Great communication, Great team!!!
Honestly out of all the videos I've watched, this one has covered pretty much every question I had in mind and look forward to starting my own VM buisness! As a stay at home mom this is going to be such a great side hustle. Thank you for the great tips!!!
Well I'm just flat out broke lol and I literally thought of streams of income that would come in and vending machines have to be a great side hustle I'm ready to get started‼️‼️
This the first video I clicked on. The length of the video I said,” they must be going into detail.” Lol you guys did that plus more! I’m a Ped nurse and professional Henna artist. I was looking for another business for passive income. I feel confident with this new journey bc of you guys. Thank you sm ❤. May God bless y’all with prosperity and success in all your endeavors Ameen.
Hey don't down yourself your showing your real business in the beginning this is what people need to see I wanna see the struggle and trouble I wanna see no profit for the first few year I wanna see the build
You two did a really good job on this. Keep it up! I've watched maybe 100 how to small business starts in this category and you two are definitely in the top 3 videos that I'll push people to watch.
Thank you guys for this video, I've been looking into starting a vending machine business but slow motion with it because I wanted more information. Y'all gave me the info that I needed and maybe down the line I can show support and bless you guys with a donation 💪🏾🙏🏽
Just found you today I’m very proud of you young man and your partner. You two keep looking out for each other and keep growing. I look forward to seeing all of the success you two gain. Nuff my beautiful black friends good job
2 questions. 1) how do you check each coil? Do you have to put money in each time or can you do a manual check? 2) what about contracts for locations? How much profit does the property take or do you avoid those? If the do have to take a percentage what is a reasonable percentage? Or is there a tip you could recommend to talk them down?
What you would do is bring a bunch of dollar bills and go through it. But some machines have a feature where it goes through every coil. As far as contracts we have one on our website. We pay no commissions at any of our locations but a reasonable percentage would be 10%. But remind them that you are a service provider providing a free service. Also what we would do is ask the location (only if they bring up commission) to place the vending machine two month no commission to see if the location is worth it. Hopefully this helps
@@EverythingDSK thank you sooo much! This definitely helps. Lastly what do you do about vandalism and theft? How do you protect your investment on the property? And is there a monthly budget you'd suggest for repairs, such as expect to pay x amount a month or put 10% of your profits into a savings fund for mechanical fixes. What can one expect the average annual mechanical maintenance on drink and snack machines yearly to be (especially if you buy used)? Basically how do you know if a repair tech is ripping you off?
@@natashacarter8420 you should save 10% of your net for big repairs. Mostly everything on a vending you can fix yourself with the help of TH-cam videos. The only thing you can’t do is fix a condenser(the thing that makes the drinks cold). Usually from my experience with vending machine repair people they charge $100 for coming out and for every part they add to the machine
Just watch this video thank you guys for giving out this information 😊 now I got some knowledge on what I should know and what mistakes to look for . 2023 is time to level up thank you once again 🙏🏾
I love that you are telling us this because I was trying to find something like this. I want to have a vending machine in a year or two but I'm happy that I watched this video
Excellent video guys, this is probably the best video on youtube for starting a vending machine business. There was no fluff, you went straight to the point and explained everything in very simple terms and clearly. Good job! Keep it up!
You guys are absolutely amazing!! Great positive & energetic personality 👍. Greatly appreciate you both for the tips. Wish you both the very best in everything you do! 😊
My first time watching this...both of you vibe so well!! You share information together and not talk over each other ( for me, that's a plus ) and you're vested in this from the experiences and how you break down each essential step!! Seriously, Congratulations to the both of you✊🏿 So, I have a question. You mentioned about having enough coins to make change for dollar bills. What would be a good ratio for coins not to run out? ( because it seems I would remove the bills on a timely basis to budget and utilize the net for living, putting back into my business, pay for refunds...if any, etc. Just curious
If you full up the coin mech you probably won’t have to full it up for a long time. Because let’s say that it’s low the coins people put in will automatically fill it up
Hi Donald and SarahKay: Thanks so much for all this sauce on starting a vending machine business. I especially appreciate your tips on the amount to spend on a machine from a seller and the vending machine name brands to purchase and avoid. Wishing you continued success on your entrepreneurial journey.
just subscribed to you guys, I love seeing a beautiful relationship strive, and the energy I feel across the screen along with the info you provided. keep it up guys, much love 💕
I love the energy and I appreciate all the steps you both have given me to pursue one of my goals in the entrepreneur field. You touched based on quality info that I need to know in order to start. Good luck to your future endeavor!!
I watched a few videos back to back on this same topic and this is the first one I set all the way through, thanks for the information and it’s always more motivation when you take the information from somebody who is currently witnessing the success. Good luck in the future and I will take this information and apply it.
I work in pest control so I service all kinds of different businesses. I often see opportunities for vending machines and I deal directly with business owners. I am just curious. Do you think vending machine companies can pay me a finder’s fee if I already have the approval of the business owner and that the location as a good potential? How much would they be willing to pay per location and is it a common practice? Thank you.
Great vid yall! Love yall's energy...plus you gave away a ton of game on the vending biz. Will definitely follow to keep up with your progress. Congrats on your success and keep getting that paper!💰💯
This is a great video. How do you guys negotiate terms with business owners? Won't most businesses want you to pay for electricity or want a commission on sales etc.? Also, how do you handle taxes and write-offs? Thanks.
You are a service provider. Your offering them a free service so managers like that. If its a high value location then you can offer commission only if they ask if they don't bring it up. As for as taxes its the same for any business you separate your personal from business. We write off our expenses like gas, food, the cars we buy, etc.
@@EverythingDSK Thanks. I assume that most vendors are not worrying about sales tax, then. Probably, not worrying about obtaining any permits or licensing, either. Any product that expires, that vendors give away or do not sell, can probably be deducted. Obviously, the cost for machine purchases, repair and delivery etc. can all be written off. It seems like there may be a lot to talk about with this topic. I am curious how vendors are doing it. Thanks, again.
I’m looking to invest into vending machines this year. Your video was very helpful and informative. Can you set your prices for each individual drink/snack in your machines? Do you ever raise the prices of your drink/snacks?
Thank you so much for posting this video. I'm almost sixty and have been watching videos online for what seems like forever. Always trying to find ideas for how to make money. I'm an ecom entrepreneur hustler, looking for another stream with a coworker. I love how you 2 work it out as a team. That's dope. We work in an area that has hundreds and hundreds of businesses in the area. I can't see why we couldn't get up the bread and buy a few machines as a team. Good info. In regards to buying a location and vending machine together, how do you guarantee that the machine is working etc.? Is it normal for sellers to let you visit the locations and check out the machines like the location+vending machine story you guys were talking about
Usually when vending machines are sold with location they are working due to the fact that the owner is making money and doesn’t want anyone to complain. It is normal for seller to let to let you visit the machine. Unless it’s in a break room or private location that they need to be there with you. Like in the story we told the owner gave us the location so we were able to see the vending machine before then. But you guarantee the machine by checking all the coils or selection make sure that it accepts all coins if it’s a drink make sure it get cold and you should be fine.
Thank you guys!!! This was so helpful and encouraging! I love your enthusiasm! My question is, when you finding locations, how are you pitching your vending machine to small businesses without offering them a percentage of the sales?
We’re so glad you enjoyed our video!! We appreciate you 🫶🏿 Now for the pitch we have a pitch in our eBook link in the description. Just think of it as selling a service and not a product. Your selling your time and your work ethic that’s how you get your machine in the building. So think of it like selling yourself (hope this helps)!
I was able to get so much information from watching this video more then any other video I’ve come across. I am watching all your videos here on out,, thank you ..
Thank you so much for this video! I have 2 questions. First, how does tax season work for a vending machine owner? Also, do you ever deposit your cash into a bank account? I’m really considering buying a vending machines
It works the same as any business we report are earning and write off our our expenses, gas any big purchases, donations, etc. we usually keep most of the cash on hand.
So, I have few questions: it is worth if I start with one VM? I know that depending of kind of VM loads its could be expensive, so average how much is to fully load the dring machine? Regarding VM maintenance how much for each one average?I saw there is a system that inform the VM owner to restock it. Do you use that device to warn you ? how much was the inicial cost to start tou business?
I started my Vending business back in 2021 and I got discouraged, Now I’m Back to where I left off and ready to get it in this Year 🙌🏽 Thanks for the Information I’m back on my grind

My question is, when you finding locations, how are you pitching your vending machine to small businesses without offering them a percentage of the sales?
We’re so glad you enjoyed our video!! We appreciate you 🫶🏿
Now for the pitch we have a pitch in our eBook link in the description. Just think of it as selling a service and not a product. Your selling your time and your work ethic that’s how you get your machine in the building. So think of it like selling yourself (hope this helps)!
Great question
