Useless DD with useless torpedos and useless smoke unless someone else is spotting for you while you're in smoke. That ain't gonna happen, especially in randoms where you need another DD to help you.
This ship is just too slow and do not provide spotting most of time. That will be even more annoying if the enemy have a normal dd on your flank. The dmg farming is ok for gunboat dd, however no spotting not only tortouing yourself but your teamate. I am okay with the gunboat like french one and soviet one but not this one.
I don't like this ship. "Learning to position" just doesn't work a lot of the times when you're slower than a cruiser. It's super easy to hit and dies quickly when surprised by radar. Back based turrets make it difficult to advance into narrower positions. DDs need the ability to advance and hold a position imo, not just kite. In a DD, this thing is a no go zone. You're likely to trade the sherman if you have support or good torps but he's taking a chunk out of you. However, you would almost never find a DD surprised by a Sherman. To a radar cruiser, sherman is mostly prey. To a normal cruiser, bow in is enough to mitigate the SAP. Heck even destroyers bow in works. This thing definitely does not have the dpm, HE or SAP, to outgun a cruiser in a 1v1. To a battleship, this thing does not have the DPM you think it does. Firstly you're losing almost all torp function. You are a small threat against a bow in rusher, which is faster than you, and outguns you. Even if you could use SAP very effectively, you are *missing out on fire damage*. If you're limited to HE, your DPM is really just not enough. This thing also does not have the accuracy of italian SAP. If you want to play the smoke playstyle, just get the jinan. Yes it has a citadel. You're also going to explode in a snail sherman. It also has monster torps. If you want to the comfy gunboat playstyle, groningen friesland is just more consistent. It's a much better ship for the tier imo.
Funny that, I’ve played since closed beta, and if you know what you’re doing in this ship and you catch just a bit of a break, you can absolutely rain hell on your opponent. I put these ships down as soon as I possibly can when they’re enemy players.
Nigh unusable torps, clumsy af, huge, no heal and slow. This ship is built for smoke farming only. It is powerful in that, but lacks in many other areas that DDs need to do.
DD's are a joke. BB's running away from DD players. Like that is historically accurate. Nerf their DPM by 90%. Low detection, fine, but their torpedo damage should also be nerfed by at least 50%. BB's are by far the weakest class. No wonder the meta is sniping from distance.
Positioning is very important in this DD more than rest of the DDs in game, if mispositioned her battle impact will be zero and it will be near impossible to chase other ships/objectives because she is very slow !!

Could you do Immelmann or Malta next?
No CV scum here, get lost.
Useless DD with useless torpedos and useless smoke unless someone else is spotting for you while you're in smoke. That ain't gonna happen, especially in randoms where you need another DD to help you.
I think the answer is YES
yes.
You need to know when use your smoke and not
First comment! Thx PQ 😊
Don't know where you are aiming but I see normal crushers and DD's as snacks in Sherman.
Hi pq glhf
yes very much so
You!!! PQ!!! GEORGIA IN RANKED!
Sherman or Black?
day 27 of asking PQ to play radar minotaur
Nigh unusable torps, clumsy af, huge, no heal and slow.
This ship is built for smoke farming only. It is powerful in that, but lacks in many other areas that DDs need to do.
+ it's not a fantasy ship! Which is rare these days in wows.
I'll take 50 fantasy ships that are interesting and add fun/different gameplay vs 1 real ship that is absolute crap and hurts the experience.
Oh really bigger then Ragnar?
day 40 for asking for a roon review
DD's are a joke. BB's running away from DD players. Like that is historically accurate. Nerf their DPM by 90%. Low detection, fine, but their torpedo damage should also be nerfed by at least 50%. BB's are by far the weakest class. No wonder the meta is sniping from distance.
lol, and no complains about CVs and subs? Those class are the real cancer of this game, not DDs
......another year..ha...ha...has passed? 🫤 tmr it'll be 2025 and next week it'll be 2026 headed into 7😭
