  • Welcome to a special edition of Tractor Tuesday, where we delve deep into the captivating story of our Snow Tractor - a true testament to restoration, resilience, and the enduring spirit of vintage machinery. Rescued from the depths of obscurity within a forgotten barn nestled in the heart of Ohio back in 2020, our Snow Tractor has undergone a remarkable transformation that has left it as an indomitable force on our homestead.
The journey began with a total rewire, where every wire was meticulously inspected and replaced, breathing new life into the Snow Tractor's electrical system. Next came the frame repairs - a laborious process that demanded patience and precision but ultimately reinforced the structural integrity of this vintage marvel. And let's not forget the transmission flush, a crucial step in ensuring optimal performance for years to come.
Now, the Snow Tractor proudly stands as our trusted companion, seamlessly transitioning between tasks with ease and grace. From mowing vast expanses of green to grading the rugged terrain of our driveway, from delicately blowing autumn leaves to bravely plowing through winter's icy grip, the Snow Tractor has proven its versatility time and time again.
But perhaps its most impressive feat lies in its newfound prowess as a winter warrior. Equipped with an original cab company snow attachment and a robust 42" single-stage Wheel Horse snow blower, the Snow Tractor fearlessly takes on the harshest of winter storms, clearing paths and driveways with unrivaled efficiency and precision.
Join us as we celebrate the triumphs and tribulations of our Snow Tractor, a beacon of ingenuity and perseverance in the world of vintage machinery. Follow along on Abby Normal Garage as we share its adventures, its challenges, and its victories - proving that with dedication and determination, even the oldest of relics can be transformed into timeless treasures."

Beautiful machine, great job saving it! I have a 520H from 96, love the gold 50th anniversary badges and decals on these from that year.

Great video! I’ve definitely started to grow fond of wheel horses since we got my son’s wheel horse. So Abby ate an entire box of oatmeal, raisin cookies! I know you said she went to the hospital over that, but it still made me chuckle a little bit because I know how dogs are! We had a dog that Aiden entire box of ant, poison traps, one time I was like what in the world? Anyway, love that tractor and thanks for sharing!

I debated on taking her to the hospital but I googled how toxic raisins can be for dogs and freaked out. Haven’t had an oatmeal raisin cookie in the house since! You might consider reinforcing those tabs that hold the front of the fender/seat on Steffan’s when you do the pulley swap. This tractor was the worst I’ve seen. They were broke and the seat would flip back on you. every 300, 400, and 500 series I’ve seen crack there. The trail horse I reinforced with 1/8 and tied it into the frame. I didn’t want anyone getting hurt.

Thanks for the advice! Hopefully we will get back on his tractor this weekend. We tried to start the video last weekend but got side tracked by other stuff.

@@Tennesseemountainhomestead I know the feeling all last week I was trying to get footage of the rust repair on the truck. We were honestly too busy/ dad didn’t want to be on camera, etc.

@@AbbyNormalGarage my wife never wants to be on camera either! When I first started making videos it was weird and I wasn’t sure if I’d ever be able to get over it. But it’s no big deal now, the kids all love to be on camera too
