As a 60-something I saw No Hard Feelings in its opening week, and really liked it. It was pretty much believable and I laughed out loud. I was shocked by how old Matthew Broderick looked as "the boy's" father (his movie War Games came out 40 years ago!). For storytelling purposes I wish "the boy" wasn't bound for Princeton because the Ivy League gets way too much attention. Swimming in the ocean after a beach closes must be a Long Island thing. Jennifer Lawrence doing a slapstick fight scene in the nude was unnecessary; just emerging nude from the ocean to confront the clothing thieves would have been sufficient. Ditto bucking someone from a car hood while the car is moving -- not funny because it's ridiculously dangerous. Finally, "the boy" character is uber gay but gets drawn in by the seduction anyway. I guess the conception and script avoids that subplot because it's never talked about in actor interviews or reviews. I would bet a cool $1,000 Andrew Barth Feldman is gay, and out, so why is that never mentioned? Does anyone think that would limit the audience? Does ANYONE think Andrew isn't gay (and very cute)? Anyway, this movie also took a little too long to end. Too much wrapping everything up with a bow.
Does it also bother you that plenty of actors also do nothing for their costars, and that some acting is required to produce what is widely known as "fictional entertainment"? Are you okay since finding out about santa claus?

It is hard for me to enjoy the movie when all I can think about is how in real life Jennifer Lawrence does nothing for him or other gay guys.

yeah, nothing has come out about this guy being gay, or him saying he's gay. I have read about girls that this guy may have been dating.
