The colours in his artwork remind me a lot of Day of the Dead art, which I find incredibly amazing. I remember years ago sitting in a Mexican restaurant looking transfixed at a painting of a group of skeletons holding flowers over a gravesite.
Genius! I have visited his website and there are thousands of artworks and paintings! THOUSANDS!!! literally! and each and every artwork is an individual masterpiece. I never realised that these artworks are so LARGE!!! CLIVE BARKER the name is associated TOO much with hellraiser series and candyman and that is a SHAME that CLIVE BARKER the ARTIST & PAINTER has never received world recognition. there is nothing less in his paintings than any other great masters of fine art.
He's a perfect example of how true creative people are, they don't sit in front the infernal glowing deity for hours on end, only to find that nothing was accomplished, and then, kicking themselves for doing nothing and the day after that repeating the same pattern again until the day they die. The American culture as it is today is a dead one, no life, no passion and no drive to do anything but what the television tells us to do; What kind of a life is that anyway? Continue.

And with that, anyone who wants to have an out-put like he does, I think it's a matter of priorities, I hear it every time how much people would love to be him, well they can't, there's only one Frank Frazetta, one Stephen King and one Clive Barker. Barker once said, "Be the next whoever you are, the only whoever you are." and "You can't do this half heartedly, you either give your guts to it, your soul to it and your balls to it, otherwise, why even bother". Not one that I'm willing to live with anymore, very few people know what it is like to be free, we all grew up with that electric babysitter and have become slaves to it, we best fight for our freedom, otherwise, it will be gone before we know it.
