30min into your video, you made tears comes up when you said : Not so many kilometers were done every day, more hotel rooms were taken than expected, tracks were lost a bit too often and even that, I remembered it as a beautiful day. Thank you for this great exemple of acceptation. I often struggle myself with standards always to high and your video healed me in some way
Being hard on yourself, or competitive with yourself or others is hard to overcome, luckily my aim was to enjoy it, simply because I knew I'd be pretty average at bikepacking🤣 I loved seeing Robert and Meta doing it 'properly', but I had no desire to emulate them. I hope you enjoy your riding🙌❤️
@@NoSecondSeason Being almost at the end of the video I want to ad something more. I don't know how old you are and will not ask, but the more I'm watching your film, the more I keep being surprised how courageous your are, going on this trip alone, as a women, for that long, on such hard tracks, going down such sketchy lines... You're an inspiration, thank you for sharing your adventures
After finishing your film, I know what parts of you are unbreakable.. First your smile, your incredible voice, your wisdom and dreams. Wish you soon get back on the routes
Thanks, I was 57 then and I guess I was confusing bikepacking with downhill mountain biking, on reflection I should have been more careful🤣. Oh to do it again 🙏
Thanks Peter, yes with such vast distances between towns in Australia, it makes it a bigger task to ride here. I'm really really tempted to buy a CF Moto MT450, to enable distance coverage. But I must resist🤣
@@NoSecondSeason Ange, that bike is certainly getting great reviews. One of my friends plans to buy one, he rode it and was greatly impressed. Give it some time and low k ones will come on the market. People always sell bikes on.
Love Iohan when someone told me about bike touring when i was talking about traveling australia on the cheap. came accross his video after ryan duzer in 2020 i was hooked straight away he even introduced me to xavier rudd music. i knew straight away that is what i was going to do. he is a big inspiration esp the hard days on the bike. i would think "what would Iohan do? nothing compared to what he did you can keep going" now after doing lap of australia and 13500km feel great and want more adventures :D he will be missed in the community. and its good to have others like yourself, ryan, wheels to wander, velo obscura to name a few inspire others keep it up :D
That's a great way to think, 'what would Iohan do'🙌. I'll try that next time I have a dilemma, which is reasonably often! You're very lucky being able to full time travel Australia, have you done a lap? I thought, when I moved here 3 years ago, that I would be able to but I somehow got stuck back in the rat race. Iohan's music is always so well selected and beautiful. Unfathomable that he's gone, at least we can still watch him, bless him😢❤️🚴♀️
He was a wonderful human and is still missed. And it makes sense that he was your inspiration.
He was, it's incredibly sad and baffling but he left us his beautiful work, we can reminisce 🙏❤️
enjoyed watching your adventure some really beautiful senery along the way big thumbs up 👍
What a fabulous and amitious journey. I only hope that you realise that as much as Iohan inspired you, you have also managed to inspire others! ❤
Awww thanks Jen, that's nice if you to say that. It was the the best, you should put it on your list of rides 🙌❤️

Well done Ange....A gutsy effort, loved it. Yes I agree Europe is a better place for bike touring. ❤

hope you recover soon and hope back on your bike!
So why can't you do it again...?
I live in Australia now and can't afford to, or to have the time off work, just need that lottery win and I'll be there🍀🙌
My comment was deleted. It was first as well. :@(
I don't know why it would be deleted, well unless it was against TH-cam policy I suppose, I'll take a look
There doesn't seem to be any held for review, I can't think what happened to it, sorry 😔
