Thank you for sharing. Imagine being a miner all those years ago and having to walk across the moors to get to work. I’m also intrigued why there is a glass roof inside.
A lot of those miners would have had to walk miles before work, climbed down hundreds of feet then done it all again in reverse after 12 hours working. The glass roof was installed when the engine house was converted into a museum - unfortunately it’s now closed.
