Congrats! I’m thinking of the Tanacom 1000 for the Bluefin we get out here. Typically about 150# or less. Any thoughts you might have for me would be appreciated.
@@joeprimal2044 I have a 750, 1000, and now 1200. I would definitely recommend the 1200 for something like that for two main reasons. The extra line capacity and the gearing. The 1000 could handle it but not sure of the life expectancy of the reel against fish that large. Most weight I've put on the 1000 is 2 Golden's so about 60 lbs.
The Tanacom 1200 model does not have 11 ball bearings. You can review the manual diagram. There are only 4 ball bearings available and the part numbers are 91, 140, 180, 204. The other 7 pcs are bushings.. 😉👍
Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could th-cam.com/users/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.
I just got the Tanacom 1000 😁 ... a very special gift from my dad and my twin.... this Tanacom 1200 is very nice but I cannot be unbiased...I love more the one I got 😍 ....
Is there an autostop? If you power retrieve to clear lines when hooked up on another setup, and you forget about it, will it autostop and just run until the lines in and snap off?
Just got mine a week ago and already boated 3 swords with it. Love it!

@@edhennessey6268 Thanks much for the info. I’ll go with the 1200 then, it’s not much more money really anyway.
Are you enjoying the added mercury in the fish?
Does it have auto jig feature?

Does the seapower just have a better motor?
Yes the sea power features the same motor as the Seaborg
Dose it come with a protective cover?
