Great non teckie video, Adelina, for us regular folk. I bought a 300+ Jackery from your last power station video to be more self sufficient on my own. I just used it last night during the wind storm last night for my fish tank heater. What sweet assistant Sophie was! 😍
Here's a way to do the calculation without plugging it in and testing by timing it... Take the unit wattage (2600 in your case) multiple by 0.85 and divide by the wattage you are trying to charge, in your case the wattage of your fridge. So if your fridge is using the top 150 wattage you should be able to run it for 14.7 hours. 2600 x 0.85 divide by 150 = 14.7 Hope this is helpful :)
I love these kind of videos Adelina. I am Not knowledgeable about these things but Like you, I like to be prepared. I have been Wanting to invest in an alternate power source and the fridge test was impressive. The wind At the beginning of the video was insane. Sophie , always wanting to be center stage. So cute. ❤
I like your experiment. It was detailed enough that has me thinking about buying one. The refrig. part was watch really influenced me. Thank, that was very detailed despite you not being a techie, like me.
Thank you for your integrity and for this non-techie review. I appreciate both! Good job, Sophie, for helping show off the Bluetti with Mom. I live vicariously through you, Adelina...I can't have pets here in my apartment, so to see you interacting with your beautiful Sophie is wonderful. Thumbs up for another great video - keep up the excellent work.
I just got mine delivered today. I've been to Vancouver Island before, very beautiful area. BTW< i wouldn't use that heater on top of the Bluetti since the cooling fans may pick up the heat. Also, use as short an extension card as will do the job. Never let the battery to drain below 5% and mainly never let it sit at 0% for any length of time, it's very bad for the battery packs. If you're not using it don't have the AC or DC buttons on, it causes a small battery drain from the inverter.
Great video. Again I'm so glad to have found your channel this morning in NS. I have the Bluetti 200max with two of the solar panels for it. I was able to use my setup this summer while camping in my small motorhome. I love it and I'm thinking of getting the expansion as well.
Excellent test. Wish I could lift 50 lbs. I recently bought the Jackery 1000 v2 with 2 solar panels. After all the storms in NC, I thought I should be prepared. I want the Bluetti, but I don't know how I could move it. The Jackery is 39.5 lbs with a handle. That's a lot for me, but it's manageable. Thank you for your techie review. Much appreciated
Hi Adelina! Awesome video! I’m going to look into the Bluetti options and see what would be best for my situation. I think the unit you reviewed is awesome, but I might start smaller based on affordability just to see what I can use to power my remote workstation. I am not a techie so this video was very much appreciated and gave me some great ideas!! Thank you. Really appreciate your videos!
I also have the AC180 Bluetti and love it. I use it mainly for camping with my CPAP machine. I can't sleep without the machine so this made camping possible and comfortable. What I am amazed with is the ability of that battery unit to charge/top up with one solar panel. I believe the AC180 allows me to travel 3 full nights without any top up. But I have the basic 3 part large solar panel that Bluetti sells and it tops up my AS180 while I have my morning coffee...even when it's cloudy - as it often is here in Cape Breton, NS. I have gone away camping for a week and AC 180 with little top ups never failed my CPAP machine. Thank you Adelina for being you. We also live on an Island, and yes use our AC180 as back up in addition to a traditional generator.
I also have two Bluetti AC180 units and they are nice. Just remember: two is one, one is none. Factor in redundancy because it's better to have too much than too little in an extended power outage. This reviewed unit would be a nice upgrade from the AC180, I like the additional capacity, 2600w over the AC180's 1800w. Plus, it accepts much more solar input, which is important too. The AC180 only accepts 500 watts and it's difficult to get the right solar panel combo to attain that magical 500w input to recharge. The 200 V2 can accept up to 1000 solar input.
Thanks for the practical review! I have been considering a Bluetti because I live on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state, along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. We get windstorms too, with trees down and power outages. I also work remotely and my landlord doesn’t have a generator.
I have the Bluetti AC 180 and I love it!! I have a small Alpicool fridge and I can go about 4-5 days without running out of power on the Bluetti. I recently got a smaller Bluetti to charge my fans, lights, and phone. I got the smaller one so I could easily bring it into a library to charge it quickly. The AC 180 is pretty heavy to move around so I have a 200W solar panel for it. I'll use them to run my van build. Hoping to get my van next year. 🤞 Love your van build videos, they've helped me so much! 😊
Thanks Adelina for another swell video. I loved your braving the storm at the ocean for us...I liked how you shared about your amazing bluetti. Wishing you a good week.😊Sue
I think only you and I have done a fridge test with this unit! It was nice data to see someone else's refrigerator setup tested to compare against mine. My fridge & freezer is a bit larger, and pretty much runs constantly at 80-100w. That's probably because we keep our fridge temp super cold at 34f. So... mine would only run for about 28 hours. As you said there are actually very few channels that take the time to put these units to any "real world use case tests." Theoretically, if you were to get solar panels even with strings of super cloudy overcast days, you would still be able to generate enough energy daily to restore power to the battery.
@ Channel name is my real name, the one I’m commenting with 👍 mine is half technical and half real world application testing. One of the reasons also that you get great run time on all of your AC stuff is the inverter in this thing is super extremely efficient. Bluetti outdid themselves this time imo and they don’t even pay me to say that.
Adelina, You should have unraveled your extension b4 putting electric through it as it could melt ( or atleast heat up ) be careful. Grt video though. Be safe . That’s such a kind thing to do gift a power station too a friend on a nearby island! Jan 👍🏴
Also, given that these units can be heavy to lift, it might be worthwhile to get some hand truck or cart to move this around as well until you have to lift it into a car or something. I have two bad discs in my back, so I'm careful about lifting these units once it gets over 45 lbs.
: ) GO Adelina ! WELL DONE indeed and appreciate your perspectives : ) That is a monster of a Bluetti indeed ! ALL the BEST and have a great week ! Cheers : )
@@myBIGtinyhouselife THANKS AGAIN! TImely as well, severe Cyclone winds forcast for us in PNWest Tuesday, so power outages probable :( Stay well and safe ! !
Now this was the best review ever!!!!! I have been wanting one of these but no one made me feel comfortable buying one. What date should I buy it to receive the sale price please? Thank you for this!!!! Does it come with a solar panel ?
Another great video as usual, much appreciated. However I tried to get on the link you provided for the power station but seems there may be a error. I'm in Ottawa so definitely not becaus I'm in a different country (help moi! lol)
Just clarifying... wouldn't Tuesday 7am until Thursday 8:30pm, ie 2.5 days, be 61 hours?
Yep....my math was not mathing....😫❤️🤷🏻♀️
What is nice about this video is, that it's made for non tech people.😊
This is exactly the video I was looking for! All I've been able to find are techie videos in this until. Finally a video of real world use.
Thanks!!

Yes, sorry about the error.

We bought a cart for under our Bluetti. A lot easier to move around. Found an inexpensive cart at Princess Auto.

what do you do for work?
I hear a lot about the lithium batteries causing fires does that make you concerned?
I'm not concerned about that. I think going with a reputable company is peace of mind.
If the fridge went for 2.5 days, that's 60 hours not 38. So about 61 hours or so...
❤
