John and Martha are just great humans and when they teach a topic, empathy and kindness just shows. Its a delight for me to go through their lessons, even the dry topics. First time I watched them was 20+ years ago on FSX. So lucky to be learning from you both.
God bless you John and Martha King. You’ve been a blessing to me, and most of my friends during my flight school years in Nigeria about 15 years ago. And still excited whenever I stumbled across your videos online. Wishing you both good health and long life🙏🏼
John and Martha King, two of the most well mannered and inspiring pilots of their time. They inspire new pilots, experienced pilots, and also people such as myself that read the magazine for knowledge about flying, world transportation and traveling and most of all about their caring about their fellow pilots and each other as they inspire us all and each other to be better people and pilots.
Dassault Falcons have been my favorite from their beginning in the early 1960's. I always enjoyed articles and pictures of those early planes in Flying Magazine as I started to learn to fly. A quality marriage of the Kings to Dassault's Falcon for sure.
If it's true that one never forgets a first love, then I think it's true of our first experience with flying a jet. In my case, a Westwind II -a frumpy jet with sexy winglets lol. But I wouldn't trade the memory of my first takeoff in it for anything. King Schools is a success story deserving of the high compliments and praise it receives.
Jon and Martha really bring a sense light-hearted and Happy-go-lucky feeling to the world of aviation. It seems even they are succumbing slowly but surely to the ravages of time, but at least I can be proud to know that my colorful and innocent views of the joys of flight are a lasting legacy they have forever etched in my mind and I will cherish it and keep it alive as long as I exist. To bring back the quality of people of their generation with the advancement of technology today would truly be a match made in Heaven!
Ya, I still recognised those voices after all these years, watched the vhs tapes at 14, couldn't wait, got my tickets starting 21 twenty-six years ago. That's a long time ago.
These guys got me through most of my tickets since the 1980s. Now as I get ready to retire from my day job I am studying for my flight instructor and instrument flight instructor tickets. Thanks for the lessons! 😎
Awesome, I hope you can get your license John! Couple of questions, do you offer courses on flying the Falcon 10? Can one person handle flying it? How much runway do you need, and what are the annual cost? I would like to purchase one in retirement and island hop.
David: I agree it was somewhat deceptive to shoe the 7X in the thumbnail. The Falcon 10 is nice for its class but is a fraction of the size and scope of the 3-hole Falcon greats!
Jeff Brown, I like the idea that Falcon Jet is exploring dual HUDs with the Enhanced Vision System. I hope they would upgrade the proposed 5X with those. Right now they only show single HUD on the 5X. There are dual HUDs on our C-17s and C-130Js and they seem to be working out quite well.
Nothing wrong with that. The 172 is a good plane. I've flown nearly every single engine piston and most piston twins and there aren't too many planes that aren't worth bragging about.
Miles O'brien, former CNN aviation corespondent, and he has done a lot of other aviation media. I was shocked to see him with a prosthetic arm in this video (04:31). According to wikipedia, in 2014 a Pelican case full of video equipment fell on his forearm, which eventually lead to him needing an amputation! I was sorry to hear this, he seems like a great guy.
John, best wishes to you with your medical. Hopefully once more time passes without a recurrence of seizure symptoms, the FAA will agree that you're safe to fly!
I still think the Falcon 10/100 are the best looking GA aircraft and I don't think Dassault have ever made anything other than a fighter, even if it looks like a corporate jet.
John has had the *big* downcheck. He may be perfectly healthy, but the FAA is very strict on medical clearance. A coworker of mine had to get one of those CPAP machines and because of it, the FAA downchecked him until he has a sleep study done for one calendar year and he must proved more than 6 hours uninterrupted sleep each night. There is no friggin' way he can do that, so his flying days are over
Nice to see Americans who are genuinely making contributions to the world! America is made up of so many people who have dedicated themselves to wonderful causes. I hope these people will step forward post Trump and speak up for all the Americans working so hard to keep American technology leading the world! This society has been instrumental in bringing about a privileged world and nothing is more satisfying to these good people than helping others to share in their good fortune! Bring back the American business leader who shared with others! In their own economy and the whole world! Time for a "Paradigm " shift back to more humane society! BTW , I am not an American citizen.
John and Martha built their school from nothing. Back in '79, I attended their A&P school in Nashville. Jo hn taught and Martha picked me up every morning for school at the hotel. Their operation was a little smaller then!
"So Martha flies with... other men." Come on man. Why did you have to put it that way? I know what you mean, but it just sounds dirty. LOL Either way, I REALLY hope John gets his medical back. He belongs in the air next to his wife.
"We slow down for airliners all the time". No…you don't. The Falcon 10 cruises at 430 knots. Airliners are faster than that. The new 737's fly as fast as 165 knots on final. The Falcon 10 is much slower.
Hal The Kings earned it and are legends in their arena. Why so negative? 99% of the pilots out there have seen a King video. This ain't a hobby for them.
yeah- look at all those people employed to repair, inspect, fuel that jet. The taxes they pay are immense. Your assertion that their hobbies are charged to taxpayers shows you have NO idea what you're talking about- jealousy is not a positive trait.
Mystère 10, Falcon for the Anglo-Saxons, is a dream machine. That's not what I'm saying, that's what Herbert von Karajan meant, who owned a Falcon 10 and flew it himself.
Let’s not forget most of us pilots only dream of having our own plane, much less a jet. The only jets we will fly are airliners or corporate jets. Having your own jet and not being a loser snob sitting in the back underpaying some desperate new pilot, but being the pilot of your own jet, is amazing. It’s sad most of us don’t have $3-100 million dollars to buy a jet
If flying together is a love language, John and Martha are the definition of it!
John and Martha are just great humans and when they teach a topic, empathy and kindness just shows. Its a delight for me to go through their lessons, even the dry topics. First time I watched them was 20+ years ago on FSX. So lucky to be learning from you both.

Have you met them in person?
John, you and Martha are a legend! I hope you can get your medical license back soon. The sky needs you. Safe flying!
I watched King VHS tapes in 1999 and they helped me pass my pilots test.
Same here.... but in 1988. At that time I was an air traffic controller but still learned from their VHS tapes.
GOOD NEWS! I heard that John got his medical back in March of 2017. Congrats!
What did he get it removed for?
@@Hedgeflexlfz i know this comment was a while ago but i'll still answer lol. i think it was for medical reasons he had.

The LITERAL Rock Stars of aviation training! I can still hear their voices in my sleep after four-plus decades.
Good to know John got his Medical back! God Bless you two, keep doing what you love. Take care.
I had a chance to fly in a Falcon last week, as a passenger, and I fell in love with it. Such a high quality aircraft.
I keep thinking about King & Martha..what their normal conversation at home would be like..both legends
wow I remember you guys from way back. Martha's "aldeetude" warnings... LOL good to see you still at it.

love king flight schools! yall are the best of the best!

John, best of luck getting back your medical!! We need you behind the yoke!
The original dynamic duo! Great work.
Glad to see the King family again. Long time no see.
Remembering their lessons on Flight Simulator 2004 :)
These guys got me through most of my tickets since the 1980s. Now as I get ready to retire from my day job I am studying for my flight instructor and instrument flight instructor tickets. Thanks for the lessons! 😎
Love the Falcon 50
You guys are my role model and source of inspiration!!

The Falcon 7X is beautiful!
I did not see where they owned a 7X. Deceptive advertising to get people to look at the video. They are legends in the world of pilot training.
where does it say 7x it doesnt it says John and Martha on the Joys of Flying Their Dassault Falcon Jet

Why does the initial picture show a Falcon 900 with 3 engines???
Close! Falcon 7X
My Dad went To that school Back In the late 70s
You guys are a legend...,phenomenal!!!!.
My hard working daughter passed her written just recently. For her first rating. And she studied off your tutorial program.
Awesome Vintage Jet - Falcon’s are just as Marths described!
Yes they are!
I don't mean to brag, but I fly a Cessna 172 ;)

Aviation Heroes.. Helped millions get licenses..
Cisco flies their 7x 500-600hrs a year?! That’s pretty steep for a corporate outfit. I hope they have a big pilot group!
Beautiful falcon 10
Amazing jet!
Love the Kings!
Love that belt king..I will get u another

Wish i could go to King Schools but I live all the way in Europe. My dream is to have a Cessna 172 taildragger or a Piper Seminole.

Next to Bob Hoover they have to be the most recognized pilots in the world of aviation

1974 Plane? If a plane can be build this good. They can do cars this good.
If you maintained a car as well as a jet and only use it for the same amount of time, not a problem at all- you can have a car last that long easily.
