WHY 4-2-3-1 (Wide) IS BEST AGAINST LEGENDARY AI
-DOUBLE PIVOT CDM's helps compact the midfield to deny the LEGENDARY AI running through the midfield. It also forces them to play in wider areas
-THE MIDFIELD FIVE gives better control in possession. Successful at beating the LEGENDARY AI high press which opens up spaces for other players going forward
-THE THREE ATTACKING MIDFIELDERS behind the striker transition from defence to attack very quickly
-The lone striker can give many different attacking options
-Hold up the ball for attackers
-Drop deep to receive the ball and drag out opposition defenders
-Run in behind the opposition defence exploiting the spaces
Always set 'STAY BACK WHILE ATTACKING'. This denies the LEGENDARY AI counter attacking at speed. IF YOU LIKE ATTACKING FULLBACKS MANUALLY TRIGGER THEIR RUNS INSTEAD (
-In the midfield have AT LEAST ONE player set on 'GET FORWARD' & 'GET INTO THE BOX FOR THE CROSS'. THE LEGENDARY AI is HORRIBLE at marking LATE RUNS INTO THE BOX
-The wingers 'Cut inside' is usually most effective in the end stages of the game or when the Ai concedes 2+ goals
-In the STRIKER Position have AT LEAST ONE player 'GET IN BEHIND' or make sure he's naturally quick (85+ pace) . THE LEGENDARY AI usually leaves huge gaps beyond their defensive line
This difficulty will have you questioning whether you’re good at a game you’ve spent 10+ years playing. You could win 6-1 then lose 5-1, 5-1 and 4-1 the next 3 games. Maddening!

im only 1 month into fifa and so far ive beaten legendary with huge advantage of 5-1 lately, and pretty much its starting to become an easy difficulty for me if you have mastered it, the key lies only in player instruction (trust me), before having the right setting its so hard to even get 1-1, but after you find the right one for you everything will go easier from there
Nah, I don't loose 5 : 1 I score fairly easily myself; defending though is my weakness, so if I loose it's like 3:2 or 4:3

Legendary difficulty fifa 21 is far too unrealistic. Average teams perform like a well oiled machine in every game. Very disheartening to play the Ai.
i guess the only hard part is patient because man, those ai doing skill moves pisses me XD.

I win 5-1 on worldclass but lose 3-1 on legendary. I have this issue with almost every sports game though. Second hardest difficulty is too easy hardest is too hard. Wheres the middle ground? Lol
Ik what u mean bro.. I was once there... U have to create the middle ground....Play on legendary but play as an Elite team (Mancity... Liverpool...PSG...Bayern) against the 1-2 star teams....n grow from there
@@Bixy15 I think he means you should try using elite teams to get practice in so you can improve, and eventually you can beat legendary with worse teams

The lower teams don't.
So practicing with higher teams won't do much IMO
Same here as well, but in my case legendary was pretty easy for me so i tried ultimate but its so hard to play against and i got frustrated that I couldn’t find a middle ground. But anywho if you’re still in that situation you could try to use sliders

It's so frustrating to defend against the AI in fifa 21 legendary. All previous fifa AI were not this difficult. I cannot even get the ball and the next thing you know it's a gol. I'm like how's that even possible I pressed tackle button. 🤦🏻 It's not realistic. Messi does not play like that in real life
It requires alot patience and right timing to make tackles
I feel you! Especially when all of your midfielders are mannequins! No covering up! Whilst your opponent is making forward runs all over your box. Kmt! Worst FIFA edition imo.
@@fifafoxx3004 It's near impossible to dispossess legendary AI because 99% of the time one of the following things happen: Either you tackle them but the ball lands perfectly with them again as if they played a through ball, you tackle them but your player inexplicably falls over and gives away possession again, your player tackles in the complete opposite direction rendering them out of position or the AI just turn around and shield making it impossible to get near the ball because they are so physically over powered. raising the difficulty in FIFA makes minimal difference to opposition intelligence but instead makes them 10x faster/stronger than your players and makes your players far less intelligent to the point where they actually stick to the opposition when you're in possession and essentially mark themselves rendering it pretty much impossible to play a pass to one of your players. the referees are a complete joke especially in career mode because often you give away fouls for so much as scratching their foot but yet the AI is apparently permitted to demolish your players legs. While I think these videos are helpful to an extent I really like the detail that goes into it, the fact is EA are too lazy to actually make the AI better at football and instead just make them meta humans who are allowed to foul you as much as they want.

Im trying to do carrer mode for RB leipzig but i get sooooo mad when a good club like bayern makes those cheesy passes for it to be 1v1 with the keeper, 99% of the time, the keeper looses. I rage so hard XD
bro im playing career mode as psg and got absolutely fucked by monglandenbach or whatever the name is. I used to destroy legendary/ultimate ai in fifa 20 but this shit is too hard man

I had a 3 goal lead in the first 15min against Legend AI with ac Milan. Ended up losing 5-3 against Atlético LOL. Hence why I can here looking for tips.

Whenever I play any of the good teams in this game I get always get smashed like 5-0. It feels like its impossible to defend against them.
Play against the lower teams and build your way up
First game with PSG vs Man city. Man city destroyed me 6:2 in the first leg and 1:1 in the second leg.
I switched to Bayern Munich vs Man City. They destroyed me 1 :7 . I quit the game immediately because it's impossible to tackle them in your box. When you hit tackle, they do a stupid skill to create space and then score. They actually destroy your game because you will change your tackling method frequently just to try to stop them. And then when you play with a real human, your tackling will be so bad 🤣
How do I win the ball from the ai when they are shielding it
Have to give props to this vid, I went from not being able to win 1 game to winning nearly every game!!, one thing I couldn't get to grips was my players not creating space or making a decent run behind defenders, was so frustrating I almost give up on the game lol

I just switched from FIFA 19 where I was winning league title on ultimate difficulty, in FIFA 21 I'm losing 4-0 to some farmers in preseason because defending on legendary is a pure cancer. They just run with ball and wait until I tackle and when I do they just change direction with perfect timing or make skill move. FIFA 21 is my WORST PURCHASE, I can't enjoy CM because on world class I'm trashing everyone but on legendary I am the one beeing trashed and I don't enjoy FUT... FUT is for kiddies, two Messis in a single game? Come on.

why does it not work for me? every time the AI counter arrack my full backs is never there even though i put him in "stay back while attacking" every time i pass to the striker the midfield is always run into the box even though their marked so theres no one in midfield. The wingers always stay wide and never bother to get inside smh
There could be alot of reasons you experience this
1) Too high Defensive line
2) Committing too many players going forward
3)You rush into tackles.. giving up space to the opposition very easily
4) You probably have your team game plan on 'Attacking' rather than Defensive or Balanced
5)You probably play too much possession football and don't create enough chances shooting so the Ai counter attack easily
6) Players work rate can be huge factor... try having Midfielders with High defensive work rate/ low attack rates
7) Your wingers are probably too wide.. because u might have the teams attack width on 8-10 bars

Constant shot blocks is what annoys me. 99% of my shots gets blocked.
I have no problems to beat ledendary ai but it's every time with counter attacks. Possession usually 60/40 and im the 40..
So there's no change to shoot from outside the box basically? It's just waste of valuable game time. I have won 7-0 games when opponent dominate the game 70-30.. :/ i just wanna learn how to control the game through possession in opponents half.
Tbh I am not sure if its your tactics but the way the ai marks you isnt the same way it marks me and you used bayern will it work for other clubs

Is it possible to out possession a team on legendary. Back on FIFA 20 I would have my team press with a high line and force the opposing team to park the bus and would have 60-70% possession but now when I do the same thing on FIFA 21 somehow I only have 30-40% possession on legendary.

Fun fact: in fifa 20, I was NEVER able to beat Liverpool on legendary difficulty. I did get a few draws, but most were 1-0 or 2-1 defeats.

@@hazimdaniel2405 In fifa 21 they aren't as good if you are connected to EA servers and have access to the live squad (without VVD). But if you aren't connected to EA servers, then VVD is still in the squad, as are Gomez and Matip. I beat them for the first time a few days ago (2-0).
I use the same tactics yet I can't score so many goals and I'm losing my patience.
I just gave up on career mode just now, I can never tackle the ai and I always have 20% possession every game

Don't use the tackle button. Instead, hold the Jockey and Sprint button together

Make sure you have bottle of water while playing vs legendary AI, so that you can drink after every 3 minutes to reduce your anger
I find it easy to just play possession in other words play like world class England pass until theres a CLEAR opening

I win most games by 5 or more goals cuz my team is stacked but sometimes I feel shaky when they high press me or when I'm on defense... You think it's just patience?

Not quite...As the ultimate difficulty is now the Ai defence basically sits back and let the attacking players do skill moves and score...no matter what team u play against...It's quite annoying when u make a tackle and they win back the ball instantly

Practice your passing accuracy when in possession of the ball. And be patient. Its ok they have 70% possession. Try being more clinical when u get your chances

Passing back to the keeper is a lifesaving tactic. AI presses like crazy at times but if u break through the press to their final third you will be almost guranteed to score all the time.
Trying to get into 200 on BS with legendary 😂😂😂oh boy they smoke me, I was winning and the silver guy scored a free kick from 30 Yards 😂
The hard part when you play in legendary difficulty is when you do defence, its need more patient because you always know they never crossing, they always force to shot from center. And they Always know when you press X or square so you cannot steal the ball easy, and yapp how they dribble is make me lost my patient. I am always win against legendary but my possession ball always 30% 😂

The chances of keeping a clean against Ultimate AI is very unlikely.. They can shoot and school from anywhere on the field if they wanted too lol

I always play on professional difficulty, and recently switched to legendary. In legendary i always get mad cause i concede 4 or 5 goals in every fking game,
Then i thought maybe i can find a tutorial for this difficulty. Then i found this video. Dude this tactic is amazing, i finally understand this difficulty. In my first game using this settings, i won 4.2 and they couldn't do anything😂
