    Awsome car, don't understand how they criticize the "Kidney grill" so much, I think the car is aesthetically beautiful and aggressive, live is better than the video. For me this or the Porsche Taycan are the only electrics I would buy... If I can afford it 😀

    I got one of these, e40 with M adaptive suspension for about 7 months now and love it . Plenty of power, not good In a snow . Probably need some good winter tires. Booster seat is hard to latch around as the space in the back is cramped. Besides that I like everything else. Plenty of power with 335 hp and instant torque.

    You hit on the point of why I have ordered one of these.... It looks and feels like a car! Every other car maker has gone out of their way to make electric cars look different. And feel different to drive. BMW have made it look like a normal BMW and drive like one too. Don't have a date yet but I'm guessing next summer.

    I had my M50 delivered a few months ago, from an Tesla Model S. Some bits I miss from the Tesla (and the supercharger network) but overall its a much nicer car to drive. Range is a bit pitiful and in real world driving don't expect more that 200 miles (on 19").

    • @InjuryLawyerOBI
      @InjuryLawyerOBI 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I drive the M50 and get more real world driving range of more than 200 in the winter. During the warmer weather, the range is between 265 to 280 on 19 inch wheels at an average of under 75mph.

    Finally a non-Tesla car that has a FLAT SOFTWARE DESIGN. Audi and even Mercedes has that 3D shadow design that just makes it look so outdated. THIS car so far is the closest to TESLA in software interface (its flat appeal). I don’t like the nose on the car but it can be tolerated. This is a well built car and is not all over the place or overwhelming (hello Mercedes 😂). I’ve been looking at other EVS outside of Tesla that I would consider and this may be the one with EQS coming in 3rd. Audi etron doesn’t have a light interior color package so that was a no for me right away lol.

  • @alanmachin3054

    The wider wheels on the M50 reduce the range by a significant amount. The only thing missing for me is a rear wash wipe and cancelling the lane correction system is a pain before setting off.

    • @Smith_Tech_70
      @Smith_Tech_70 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, as it's based on the 4 series, it never had a rear wipe anyway. I miss that from my Touring, but the dirt doesn't stick to the sloping rear window like it does on a touring. So they decided to do away with it for the 4 series.

  • @6SpeedTA95
    @6SpeedTA95 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Interesting comment on the A pillar. My experience with the i4 is that it's really quiet inside and on heavily worn pavement you can get a bit of tire noise. Wind noise was not quite 0 but very very low on my test drives. My car arrives in about a week so I hope it's quiet inside.

  • @martincburns
    @martincburns ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Lovely but prices are gone mad, 75k for a small exec saloon is crazy money. Had considered changing my 128ti for a 330e Touring or i4 but price increases over the last few years + increased interest rates make it a non runner.

    • @Smith_Tech_70
      @Smith_Tech_70 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's in Euros though. It's around the £62k mark for a UK M Sport spec. So, considering that a 335d on a decent spec would have been £50k+, it's not so bad.
      There is less of an EV price hike on the better specc'd cars than on someting like a Corsa.

      With 112kwh you drive already about 550km with a BEV...

    I've owned several BMW's, currently running a M340d touring. I really did consider the i4, but it is really restricted in space for passengers ( if you have teenage kids or want to carry adults in comfort ). I'm really surprised BMW didn't opt for the far more practical 3 series touring body shape, with the additional boot space and practicality, rather than the already cramped 4 series body shape, perplexing......?

    400-500 km good joke
    If you turn off all the extras and creep around on the right side. Otherwise, with good luck 300 km and in winter at most 250 km.

      My i4, in winter, with heating at 20 deg C and heated seats on medium, will do 220 to 230 miles on a full charge, if driven carefully.. Summer will be around 300 miles. So on a road trip, driving carefully (and that means at 70 mph, but with no harsh accelerations) 220 miles (355 km) in winter is easy.
