Watching his highlights doesn’t really do him justice. Watching him play a game and seeing his work rate throughout a game is insane. All you hear the commentator say is Peter Steph, Peter Steph, Peter Steph….😂 great job bro. Are you doing a watch along tomorrow. Big game! Your first Springboks vs All Blacks game.
Great understanding of the game, your comments were on point! Lovely to see an American in love with S.A rugby (and rugby in general), we really cherish the support from you guys! Big love from South Africa!
He has a very unique roll on the field in that Rassie gives him a lot of freedom on the defensive end to do what he thinks is best(usually you will see him break the defence line). Basically Rassie goes to him before the match points a finger in his face and says "PSDT Smash" and he smashes.
His grandpa also played for the Springboks. He was known as Piet "Spiere" du Toit. "Spiere" meaning muscle. There are a few photos of him online and they look very similar.
I have had the pleasure of meeting the man, and what an absolutely nice and modest guy he is. A true inspiration. But I have to admit, this highlight reel does not do him justice. Watch any of the last 10 Springbok games where he has played-it's basically a highlights reel for him. His work rate is off the charts, and the speed a man of his size can reach is incredible. Great vid, man!
The pleading in your mind to keep holding the ball when you can't pass as you feel your enemy try to prise it free, your arms straining as they are grasped, your mind divided between holding on and not relinquishing, to keeping balance whilst 300lbs monsters are using everyounce of their strength to bring you down. Your body under massive attack, your strength starts to fade as inside your head you scream ... but you are not alone, you are joined, by one then two a rolling maul forms as more join you feel reinvigarated forward moment gains, your strength compounded by your brothers the voices yell for victory. But you enemy is not to be easly pushed back as more join them, the pounding in you chest is almost heard as both fight for every inch given and taken.. the maul, someone, makes a break, a light footed fly half saw a gap you fall and watch your ally make the break. You hear the roar as the impact hits, the fly half is down, your body is exhausted but you feel you legs moving to cover, the bodies clash a ruck is formed.... minuet 3 of the match begins just another 77 left to go.
The Springboks promotional video for this weekends game as the end features the line PSTD said in Chasing The Sun. "Jy moet sê as jy bang is"... translate..You must speak up if you are afraid"
No disrespect at all to Military previous, current and future for any country and I have served, PSTD (Pier Stef Du Toit) is PTSD after you meet him on the field - the acronym changed
Hey Jeff?! I have a request for a reaction. Jonathan Davies. "prime Jonathan Davies was unreal" and "brutal hand offs from Jonathan Davies" both videos on Andrew Fordes Channel
Hi Jeff thanks for delivering the PSDT wrecking ball, PSDT is like a wrecking ball you try to move but you still gonna go down thanks to PSDT it's been a pleasure being a friend to you❤ LOVE FROM BAYANDA❤ LOVE YOU BRO😍
Good video. Squidge dropped another awesome video yesterday. "So how did New Zealand v South Africa become sport’s greatest fixture?" th-cam.com/video/hXDdeQjKqw8/w-d-xo.html It's basically the history of/between these two teams and their impact on the world at large. I'm not saying you should react to it (it's a little long 35M) but you should definitely watch it to give you some context.
Jonathan Davis? There are tons of centre's from multiple countries and eras better than him. He was mid range at best. Do nano or tana or fourie or Smith or Horan instead please 😊

Bro, the way you hit his name without struggle or missing a beat was immaculate
I like the way u learn and appreciate rugby from an American point of view
PSDT gives the opposition PTSD.
SO GOOD LOL

Great player, and even more so a true gentleman and person!
You’re 100% right Divan! I’ve heard that he is an exceptional person

i'm impressed that you are putting names to various players
Well done on your pronunciation of the south African names bro baie mooi (very nice)
He is an immense player in the Bok team. He probably has the highest impact on most of their outcomes of any player in the team.
You’re 100% right John! He’s exceptional
PSDT is a tackling machine 🔥🔥
You said it perfectly he is a beast!
finally was asking for this video xD
That.s 6"7 , 254 lbs doing 100m dash sub 12. He is effective, not just 'highlight reel'. He just works harder. Legend.

GREATEST RUGBY RIVALRY IS HERE
🇳🇿🇿🇦💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🇿🇦🇳🇿
Hope to see you in South Africa some time!
Don't forget to watch the game tomorrow SA VS NZ 🎉🎉
In my opinion, he is probably the best loose forward in world rugby at the moment.
3:50 is how good cross defense looks like. First line will trust that and go harder at tackles knowing the next man in is there on cross defense.
Thank you finally ❤
The impressive thing about him is how few tackles he misses. Look up his stats for the rugby world cup 2023 its insane.
Look at stravino jacobs when he was at school, my favorite schoolboy player
His nickname is "The Malmesbury Missile" (Malmesbury being his hometown).
Yes but no. The family farm is in Riebeek-kastiel but he went to school in Malmsburg.
MOTM in a world cup final😮
He’s a beast and deserved the man of the match
PSD made 28 tackles in world cup final
One of his greatest attributes is his rediculous work rate. He has a real old diesel engine. Never stops going, never takes a brake to rest
Reff: you want the penalty or the line out?
PSDT : we scrum
🤣🤣🤣 that’s the truth!
I hope you will be watching tomorrows game,my man!!
6'7" 260lbs of pure athleticism
You said it perfectly!
Etzebeth is 6ft8 260ibs.. imagine eben with Psdt speed
NFL?? He is awesome and I am Welsh 🏴 🫣
He is machine
Nice vid man. Check out Danie Gerber if you haven't already. One of my all-time favorites.
Helo are you doing Springboks vs All Blacks live today
Pieter-Steph should be mentioned in the same breath as Antoine du Pont but he doesn't get the same plaudits unfortunately
If you like tackles, there is no better than Bismark Du Plessis on Dan Carter!
Thanks for letting me know that Colin I will check out that tackle on DC

Yster
A fine player, but he'd be a shell of a man if he played in France; Japan is where South African's go to rest for World Cups.

Garcia Jason Thompson Scott Smith Carol
