Defeating lust is a struggle that humans have faced throughout history. In the Bible, lust is often portrayed as a powerful force that can lead individuals astray from God's teachings and their own moral compass.
While the concept of lust primarily deals with sexual desires, it can also encompass a broader range of intense cravings or desires for things that are ultimately harmful or sinful.
One of the most well-known passages addressing lust is found in the New Testament, specifically in Matthew 5: 27-30, where Jesus speaks about adultery and lust in the heart:
"You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. I have been a slave to lust since i was a teenager.
I'm 50 now.
Although lust is one of the many tempatations and sins that life's challenge presents; its one that has ruined me.
It has destroyed me.
Eventually, it caught up with me.
And manifested itself in a child outside of my marriage.
I can not tell you what this has done to me and my family.
It has been devastating.
I deserve it. But not those around me.

I struggle a lot. I am only 22 years old and I have no one for my own (and luckily so if I had to be honest, I don’t necessarily deserve one considering my behaviors and actions) I do struggle a lot with this desire and half the time I do not put up much resistance because I don’t see much change happening anyways (probably the most weakest reason to say). I stay within my house everyday (and I know that I may neglect opportunities outside my home and all social relationships by doing this but I still choose to do so; sometimes I do think the reason why I do this is because I merely punish myself and also anxiety problems and possibly other issues). Whenever I may be doing something like scrolling on the internet or social medias, it comes on and I do suspect the reason why it comes on is because I am bored or something. Lust is such a perversion and I do admit that. I have a hard time to go against myself whenever such temptations do occur. And the fact that my heart desires this, speaks volumes of where my heart may be at. So many beautiful women that I had swiped across my screen, and that done so many detestable acts. I ask myself whether if I truly do have love for God or not? I mean then again if I didn’t love Him, I wouldn’t be here typing this comment on a desperate plea in a sense from the soul. (and yet to believe that I was any better than everyone else in my life and ohhhh how deeply has life humbled me) But still yet I cling on. Even though, that I may or may not be reading the Bible properly or taking away anything from my reading, yet I still try to get into the word even if it may not be something I earnestly want to do or as dopamine filled like with pornography or a cheeseburger from mcdonald’s or any other foods. (This is quite lengthy my apologies for this lengthy response) But still struggle (half the time also I sometimes wonder if I should ever call myself a christian considering my behaviors and everything else. I have been slothful in a sense, sometimes eat sometimes many times, eat the most unhealthiest fast foods form fast food restaurants and scroll on social medias at times or browse on the internet and stay within inside my own home) Ok, I am done with this so I am not going to any more lengthy to it.
Pray and fast until it's gone. That's it. Move on.

God can help. I came to the conclusion from the Bible that it's better to die than to do any type of sin, as small as it may be. God knows what's better for us than we do. God says to do this or to do that not because he likes to boss around but because he knows what's better for us. If God clearly said that lust, lewdness, lasciviousness, adultery, fornication is all sin and all wrong, He said it for a reason. So think of it like this: will NOT do it. It is worse if I do it. I will NEVER do it again as tempting as it may be. I will hit myself, I will cry, pray, do WHATEVER but not that. I am in control of the body that God gave me.

I'll pray for yall my brothers. I know lust is a very hard sin to overcome. It took me almost 7 years to put it to death. But don't give up! God will help you all overcome it in Jesus. And definitely probably sooner than me because I was Lukewarm back then lol. God bless!

My greatest times of victory have come from removing myself from all social media (TikTok, Instagram, twitter, etc…) and buying an alarm clock. Do not start your day with your phone that causes you to sin but instead wake up in prayer and with the word.
It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit and your asking of Him to work in you that your chains will be broken.
I pray victory over all who watch this video in the name of Christ Jesus by the strength of His Holy Spirit.

I blame myself for the state of the world. All the P0rn I’ve watched….I’ve ruined my chance at marriage, it’s twisted my reality. Avoid internal triggers (thoughts or emotional states that can lead you to sin)
Pray everyday and always (especially when the temptation is knocking at the door)
Take control of your day and don't act merely just reacting to what happens to you. Plan your day and put in your daily schedule: Win against sin

I'm 32 and diagnosed autistic, haven't had a girlfriend since 23 (and mostly didn't want one as I'm unfit for relationships).
When I don't watch porn, the lust grows so strong, that I can't think a single thought. And without porn, it just doesn't work for too long.
I made it a yearly tradition, at Passover and the days of unleavened bread, to vow to God to not masturbate or even look at women sexually.
I won't break this vow, but this year was especially hard. Towards the end, I just waited for the daytime to pass so I can go to sleep so it's over faster...
How sad is that? ... I hate this world so much. I hate lust. I hate being a sexual being. They say "Oh my God" in porn so much... I immediately have to turn it off and feel so ashamed and disgusted.
Please God, forgive us...... We're worse than ever.
You focus too much on the task at hand and completely disregard the end goal. You suffer; you vow to God, yet you're ashamed of all that you do. You've caught yourself in this endless loop of enduring and failing because you haven't done anything to change the way you battle your lust. You do indeed have the strength to ask Jesus for aid, but you must learn to exact his will. In the end, only you can free yourself from this. Let Jesus guide you on a path, and use your own strength to walk through it. You will face significant challenges and endure immense suffering, but you are capable because Jesus believes in you. Even on earth, there are people watching and waiting for you to be better. It's time you believed in yourself.

The only you’ll beat lust is if you run away from temptation. You can try and face it but you will probably fail. Running away is what I found that works. If you see something on the TV, just watch something else or look away.
I have almost escaped it but i keep falling deeper and deeper, i hope the lord will help me climb up and so is my menthal health. May we not be lead by satan and not fall!

The devil is the one who brings up old wounds and guilt. Our parish priest once told me to accept the absolution received from confession, and never doubt that God has forgiven you. It doesn’t matter how often we fall, as long as we don’t give up and keep on fighting with Gods grace until we get full deliverance from sin. It’s an ongoing struggle, the closer we get to Christ, the harder it seems to get. The devil will tempt us with ceaseless attacks as he tries to get us to fall away from God. There is no “winning” this battle. Temptations and triggers roam freely in this earth. The name of the game is discipline and consistency.
We are not perfect like Christ was, but these everyday battles against sin that we choose to have lead us to becoming stronger warriors for him and in his name.

(day1 is very easy but the actual temptation strikes me at day2 or day3 but I will be disciplined and not become slave of these urge.)
Day-2 ☑️passed ( no urge today . I also studied more than I usually do.)
DAY 3 ☑️ PASSED
DAY 4 ☑️ PASSED
Day 5 ☑️ PASSED(I FELT URGE TODAY BUT I FOUGHT IT)

the key to defeat lust is not fight it everyday and think about not doing it...... but to focus our attention and minds in the scriptures which are the lords words, when we focus and find guide from out heavenly father we will have no desire to sin and lust. STAY STRONG BROTHERS, it is a narrow and long path but if we put our faith in the Lord we will persevere and live with him again someday!
The other day I finally broke down and cried about my struggle with lust. I don't know if that helps others, maybe it will, the sin of lust goes so much deeper and hurts your heart and grieves the Holy Spirit within you.

When I was stuck in Lust I was thinking of it like building a sand castle at a beach so you can impress your crush, but when I sinned the water came and destroyed my castle, makeing your crush unintrested and I had to start building again. It’s all about relation to others. Strangers it’s easier but when it’s family it’s heartbreaking. If lust emerges around family then that’s a whole other mental issue entirely.
I thought to myself, "How exciting to explore the deepest parts of me," and I came to find out that there's nothing to find but a deceiving heart yearning for love, understanding, and wisdom. So, I pour into it like a drunkard quenching his thirst-I pour and pour these things my heart longs for. Why am I not full yet? Have I not quenched my thirst for these things? I go and seek for more. Is it pleasure? Success? Power? I am unsure, but once again, I will go into the world and satisfy my thirst.
I am confused as to why I am not satisfied. Am I being deceived? Do I not understand myself? Why am I so full of hate? Oh, you cold-hearted bastard. God has set me free. Running away was not enough because my spirit was weak, my own mind betrayed me. The spirt is ready but the flesh is weak. Until I started strengthening my spirit by praying and reading the Bible helped. I started to seek for activities, thoughts and knowledge that replaced the ones that tempted me. Apps that block porn, creative content, new hobies, forgiving mysel, understanding the ulterior motives of my lust by analizing my lust habits and getting ahead of them. Making new routines and habits searching for everything that is admirable, noble, good, creative, compasionate, thankful, joyful, amazing. May God reach, bless and strengthen everyone who is in this battle.

It's not just avout prayer alone, it's about what you do after praying..
What are the contents of the things you see? Movies..? Browsing sites? Pictures..?
If this things are filthy or contains a touch of filth like immoral scenes, surely you'll be bound by the things you're trying to escape from..
Clear your phones from things like this, stay away from certain kind of movies that can stir up these things, watch what your eyes feeds on, instead spend more time reading your Bible and getting clean..
What of the places you go? Do you go to places where the people around you talk dirty things or do dirty things?
Do you have dirty kind of conversations with people?
Stop hanging out with those kind of people, stop being in places where you'll be tempted to listen to those kinds of conversation..
Rather, work time more around godly people that their words have been seasoned with salt.
Above all..
Have a good relationship with God which comes from having to hear God daily from your Bible and people that preached the true gospel..
Be intentional about getting free..

I'm still young and full of wonders though the environment/problems around me is starting to mess with my mind and soul i still choose to be happy, but the only thing that is hindering me from doing/achieving the things that i always dream about is that i always fall for the devil's temptation to do some sinful act that is always bringing me back to zero. I always lie to myself that i will fight the temptations but this lust that is surrounding around my mind, heart and soul can never fight it back i'm still young and i don't want this to ruin my future. But i guess i just need to fight it harder and rely more on our Lord Jesus Christ.

Instead of focusing on 'not committing the sin', focus on 'getting closer to God'. Read the Bible, pray, and ask God to help you in such situations. I love this. I've been learning myself recently to focus on myself. Not condemning others' sins, but paying attention to mine alone. And realizing I can choose how I think of people, how I treat people, how I love people. And I've successfully chosen love most of the time. My heart was crushed but I still prayed for those who crushed it. I was betrayed and I still prayed with love toward them. People have hurt me in many ways and I chose love not hatred. And the content in this video aligns with that.

I’m really grateful for this video. I’m a new Christian. Today I had a meeting with my pastors and 5-6 elders from my church to meet, test me and for them to hear my profession of faith. It went awesome!
But yesterday I met this beautiful older black woman for the second time at the mall (the first time she was my instructor for a workshop). Both times we had chemistry. Yesterday she stopped doing her errands to talk to me for 1.5 hours on the couch at the mall. The chemistry was insane. And she was an Olympic sprinter and still competed in the masters olympics. So her body was insane.
I was having a lot of sinful thoughts. But I could feel the Devil trying to tempt me from my path and lead me astray. I really don’t want to be distracted by pointless sex and I want to achieve my goal to have a sweet little wife with a dozen children. If it be Gods will.
Regardless, in the moment I couldn’t resist and asked for her number. She told me she was free all night. Not in a slutty way but we were just having honest talk and she said she wasn’t up to anything.
I don’t want to be rude. But I also know if we hang out, even if it’s in a public place, that I’d be so tempted. And I really want to save my heart for my future wife. And not split it into even more pieces.
Also the odds are very high that I’ll see her again because she works for my local Work BC office and I have a case manager there etc.
Should I call her at some point to just not be rude & be honest that I don’t want to sin and that we shouldn’t hang out. Or should I just not call altogether?

This got me in the right time. I've trying to deal with my feelings, about my limitations and what my body tells me that i should do to alleviate the stress that i have been through. It's work, it's people around me and what i try to do to be a professional at my job and at the same time to the correct things for the other people i receive in the butcher shop. I want so much to deal with these kind of things, when i don't take what my body tells me i don't function properly and the pain arrests me. It's very frustrating that i am not being able to deal with my pain and my desire to make my best for the Lord.
