    Maam, I always loved your recipes. I made naan khatai and it came out very very soft and most demanding cookies in my home as it was so good that it melted in mouth. Again I bake cookies but now it is not that much soft. I followed every step as per your instructions but it's been 4th time same thing happen
    Could you please help me where I am lacking

    Hello Aarti, I tried out this recipe and my family loved it.....however its texture looked like cookies rather than nankhatai.....plz suggest if I miss anything.....I had baked it at 180 deg in convection mode for 25 mins

      180c is too much try 150-160 for 25 mins... You'll cook slowly without browning the naankhatai too much

    I tried this and it came out very well and tasty. But it was like cookies. I need bakery style nankattai which will be powdery and brittle. Please suggest ways to prepare such soft nankattai

      Mix throughly oil and dry flours first, it will definitely make them brittle

    I tried the recipe n it came out so tasty although I would like to make few recommendation , nankhatai were very sweet acc. To my taste and sooji in them seemed like I was eating sand so be careful with suji part either go for a finer sooji or skip it totally,☺️

    Hi Aarti. .. I think your recipe should be 1 teaspoon baking powder. ..1 tablespoon seemed to have a strong almost sour kind of after taste... and for me 1 cup powdered sugar was too much ...but that is my taste...but otherwise presentation was great. Thank you for taking the time to do this video...

      agree. i made it 1st time and turnout to be so good. but when I made second time it was sour and tasted very salty with 1tbspoon baking powder. @aarti pls confirm the measurement.

    The baking powder is 1tspn or 1 tbspn?
    I just made it and used 1tbspn of baking powder, there was a bit of bitterness.

    You should break the Nan khatai at the end so that one can see the inside texture..

    Quantity of Besan should be less otherwise it tastes more like Besan laddo than nankhatai.

      Hi Samima.. You can always adjust the quantity of maida, besan and atta as per your taste.. just keep the final dry ingredient measurement same.. 😊

    Is it compulsry that there should be cracks on the top after baking?

      No Rupal, nothing like that.. the cracks come when we have a thick or dome shape cookies.. in that case the heat inside the cookies wants to come out and that's when cracks are formed. If cookies don't have a dome and are shaped flat then the cracks won't come. This won't effect the texture. 😊 Enjoy

    This recipe didn't work for me. Its too sweet plus unable bind the dough with 3 tablespoon butter

      43 grams of butter is a lot, 3 tablespoon means that ammount

    Bahut acha lekin aap measurements grams me galat bata rahehain. Aur ek request hai ki sugar free cheesen batayen matlab bina cheeni aur bina good ki

    Aapa meine Nankatai ki recipe try ki thi Mashallah uska taste bohat acha tha likin Nankatai thodise kadak hogi thi kahne mein achi thi but no problem aapa next time i will try my best thank you so much for the recipe Aapa i want to say that ki itni bhi kadak nahin huye thi aapa don't worry aapa i will try again

      You should not overmix the dough especially anything with maida or wheat flour.
