2024 Mooresville South Haven Michigan Civil War Re-enactment Encampment and Displays

My friend, Trevor, and I dug in at the scenic Mooresville (not on a map) 1864 Civil War Re-enactment in South Haven, Michigan. Here I just discuss some of our set-up and artifacts as this was the first one we ever attended as volunteer actors now that we have sufficient kit. We're hoping to expand our props collection and eventually only have period items, not just "close enough" and reproductions.
While very small, they have a lot of fun with it and get quite silly. Long after the tourists left, a battle erupted around my tent, and they wheeled in and shot a cannon next to me though the battle field was supposed to be half a mile away. 😂 A lot of exuberant fun here, and when they're not drunk and partying all night, a nice quiet place to relax by the pond.
