I picked up a used Kuat 3 bike carrier last summer, has similar clamp system. Liking it so far. Getting your bikes on and off quickly and easily and hauling them with no damage is huge. Thanks Kev! 👌
The 1Up USA rack I bought 12 years ago has been a champ. I holds just the tires, too and has an anti-wobble mechanism that secures it in the receiver. I have upgraded it over the years to add capacity for 2 bikes and upgrading for my heavy eMTB, but all the original stuff still works great. I will say, their blak anodizing isn't very UV proof. Faded nearly all away in a few month, but that was only a small component that I upgraded for the heavy-duty stuff. My rack is silver and all that looks good. They ae a bit spendy, but a lot cheaper than the QuickR Stuff brand racks, a company started by the original inventor of 1Up (apparently, there was some sort of falling out).
Love my Hollywood racks destination 2. $200 with a lifetime warranty. It does have frame contact, so I just used some frame protection vinyl. Good to go.
Swagman XC2 has served me well for 3 years. Lives on the back of my car. I wanted more metal construction. I do not trust plastic in the sun. Also way less than the current $500
My gf bought an EX2 a couple years ago. That thing wobbles like crazy with 2 bikes on it. Not a fan of it because the 2 bikes are way too close to each other. I like my kuat nv 2, cost more, but built better, imo...
Ha ha😅I've got the most basic rack you can buy. I have a $43 Harbor Frieght rack. It is good enough for me. I've had it 7 years without a problem. It has traveled over 200 miles in one trip and had no problems. I often think of upgrading it, but as long as it's still working, I suppose I'll keep it. 😂
I upgraded my SuperClamp2 with the tilting base, it's definitely worth it for the added functionality. However, it does add a bit more wobble.
Saris stuff is nice, but a 2 inch receiver 1UP is the way to go!
Not for me. My receiver doesn’t accept 2”
@@KevCentral They have "1.25" - 2" Quik Rack Single" for half the price (plus up to two add-ons)

Same here! 1up for the win. No plastic on it either, all spares readily available, can upgrade to hold fatbike tires easily as well and USA made!
Thanks for sharing

Saris could turn the wheel clamps into D locks, and even add a frame lock, I wouldn't trust my bike to any sort of cable lock.
I got one my self and I love it!

I have the Saris Bones but I want something tiltable.
