    places defend on top of his draw deck -> "so now I just have to draw an attack card"

      @JitanEDM 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      SangerZonvolt In his mind that card discards one and draws one, not placed on top of draw and draw one

    That was a beautifully executed boss fight at the end. Excellent playing.

      Wasting damage on the minion was unnecessary, though :)

      He had lethal turn one and didnt kill the boss. So no.

    • @Godishus
      @Godishus 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, he had to waste a potion to do 1 turn kill.. It's not like he was in a rush to kill.

    "I have only played a bit. Been saving myself for this video." *proceeds to describe every enemy he meets in detail* Ok, you may have been spoiling yourself a little bit, no? :-p

      There aren't that many enemies in the the game but different ones in each act. Based on his total score (points towards unlocks) at the beginning of the first episode being 971 he did 2 or 3 runs through assuming he didn't fail miserably. The average score if you beat act 3 is around 600-700 points. If I had to guess quill did 3 runs and made it to, or just passed, the second boss once.

    @33:47 Juggernaut would have synergized with the relic that gives you 2 health when playing a power. And because you use quite a bit of block it would have helped withling away enemies, especially low health minions. Especially because defense cards become free when you have used Corruption. And it will trigger from attacks that give block or for instance armament. So in this particular deck it would easily add 20+ damage for 2 energy. (Probably boosted by strength but I'm not a 100% sure if strength buffs the 3 damage from this power)

  • @SangerZonvolt
    @SangerZonvolt 7 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    Don´t skip the powers so much. Sure, they thick out you deck, but only till you play them. The card gets removed for the fight as soon as you play the power.

      +SangerZonvolt Honestly after picking up corruption he should just be inflating his deck. A lot of his attacks were pretty much straight up dmg cards and not with status effects anyway so a bigger deck wouldn't hurt at all.

    Poor berserk getting skipped over, just pointing out that card is amazing for final boss fight.
    You didn't need it but I would have grabbed it, especially with not having any extra energy relics at all.

    I'm liking the series so far but you gotta stop neglecting that poor clash card.

    • @justinwhite2725
      @justinwhite2725 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      RAYGNOR no last name he's not neglecting anything - the times he didnt play iy he couldn't and now that he has corruption it is easier to enable.

    • @edjuniarto
      @edjuniarto 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      exactly... i was asking the same thing about the defend and then clash and then draw cards etc.

    • @turlour
      @turlour 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@justinwhite2725that is not entirely true. i know im super late, there was a number of times he could have gotten it off if he did things slightly differently, but he didnt. I love quill, but it's very clear he's not the best tcg card player.

    22:30 I know it's counter-intuitive but I read a strategy that you should kill the Centurion (guy in the front) first and it worked for me. Maybe it somewhat depends on the build though.

    You are the first youtuber i have seem that knows the value of removing cards!
    I deckbuilding games you are limited to the number of carfs you draw, having more cards im the deck doesn't help if they are weak. I play a lot of dominion and thunderstone and I am vicious about trying to remove all my weak starting cards.
    I want to get this game when I get paid!

    Second time in a row you got rid of an attack. Instead of two blocks. If you get rid of the blocks, for this run you add synergy to your mega damage move, that REQUIRES you to only have attack moves. A block or two is great, but you've had a ton of hands with 3-4 blocks.
    (This is a new game, and sure as it becomes easier to playthrough will make more sense.)

    • @nfzeta128
      @nfzeta128 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      he needed those block cards. He had other attacks stronger than strike but almost no other block so going full on for the combo when the combo wasn't that strong would just be suicide.

    Love Quill's videos, but all the times he went "Well, can't play clash because I have a 1 point skill, might as well play this attack that draws more cards and then play the skill when clash literally becomes impossible" became frustrating

    Sad me when you discard Heavy Strike with a strength build...

    • @kensw87
      @kensw87 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      goodolarchie don’t think this really qualifies as a strength build. probably want to have the power that gives u 3 strength each turn

    • @nfzeta128
      @nfzeta128 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +kensw87 Any deck with spot weakness is a strength build deck. At least until he got corruption but even then he had a chance to pick up another spot weakness and inflame.
