I'm not a professional. Just a nerdy fan who has come to terms with the fact that this title will probably never get a proper soundtrack release. Until then, please enjoy my efforts to hobble one together at the best quality I was able to muster. For the score, I isolated channels from the French language track, that actually had the dialogue separated from most of the music. I apologize if it sounds like it's coming out of a tin can at times. I hope it's better than nothing. Enjoy.

I was a child of 12 years old when this was released in the theater. It became a favorite of mine and has endured all my life. I'm 87 now and just found it one TH-cam. THank you for posting.

@@somethingwithbungalows They werent that different from now. Popcorn and drinks candy on sale in lobby. Not as outrageously priced as now. I can remember popcorn for a nickel, but not a big bucket full. Sometimes they had airconditioning. Always a single theater, not the megapalaces of today. Our town had five different theaters downtown, the first run place, the cowboys & indians place and the second & third run ones.
This is the kind of story that puts me in awe of technology
The sequence was beautiful drawn, and the music added a charm long since gone.

@@nowherewolfe In a way it was. I saw this cartoon many times when I was a kid and it planted the idea of visiting Brazil - and I did twice. Loved it!

This is such a wonderful song. The package film/wartime era of Disney is so underrated. The circumstances of so much of Walt's staff being drafted led to a lot of experimentation and creativity. I grew up with this movie on VHS and am so happy to find it here on TH-cam. Gracias, mi amigo
I had this on VHS and never knew it was during the wartime era. I was wondering why it was multiple stories, etc. I love this movie and the songs of different countries ❤

Although the location wasn't quite right, I had the priviledge of listening to this while I watched the Sun set into the Caribbean Sea last year. It's a memory I will hold dear my entire life.

this is the song that gives me the most nostalgia out of my whole childhood. growing up speaking mainly spanish was something i took for granted. although i dont speak fluently anymore, i can still recite many parts of this song... i love this movie with everything in me

I have been fascinated with Walt Disney and his works and love learning about him. I want to be a cartoonist but I suck at drawing I'm still trying and practicing. I grew up with these classics and classic Looney Tunes and the classic Tom and Jerry. Just I love this song ❤️

Beautiful song, Thank you for sharing. This is one of my favorite Parts in the movie it's not the best part in the movie, that honor definitely goes to Yaya. I still love this though and thank you for sharing because I know for a fact he would never release this album specifically because quote-unquote controversial I'm hoping that one day they don't have to remove both this until you do some Migos from Disney plus because I love both of those films, and I would hate to not be able to watch my two favorite I always did like the packaged feelings cuz you could tell them they had to be creative to make a bunch of different Church work together as a movie especially with the two South American package films, because if you know the actual backstory when they were planning that trip and on their way out the door, asked why she wasn't going and of course she thought she wasn't invited won't after to come and she came and if it wasn't for the fact that she went to beautiful Brazil we wouldn't have It's a small world or any of her other beautiful works of art. Everyone should watch that movie, it's a good movie. As far as being offensive you been calling Joe anyone that gets offended by a Disney movie is ridiculous how baby a side they should put a warning label on Song of the South, they put it in front of Peter Pan, they put it in front of Gumbo, they even wasted time putting it in front of cellulose and Migos and three Caballeros so, why can't we put it in front of song of the South, it's a good movie I remember years ago was a kid I watched it and I loved it years ago someone did manage to put it on TH-cam so I think it was heavily edited but I don't really care it was available and I wanted to watch what's not available anymore which is wrong because it's a part of film history racist or otherwise, you don't see people complaining about Gone With the Wind that's worse much worse so, Disney if you're reading this which I assume you're not put a wunderlabel input Up Song of the South even put a warning label on The Muppet Show with one episode y'all there that ridiculous as to put warning labels on things that don't need it but the one thing that could benefit from a label in a post you won't touch I'm sorry but that's just bad yes people don't like Uncle Tom's Cabin, yes that's a bad thing and yes it's wrong but I don't care about that I want the movie back up I don't care if it's a defensive, if somebody gets offended by a movie that's over what 80 years old at this point they're just being stupid it's an old movie The sensibilities been or different than the sensibilities now and even then stop holding old content to new standards that's how you lose perfectly good content and perfectly good characters like Pepe Le Pew and yes I'm calling anyone who fought to have him removed or complained about him in the me-too movement and idiot because anybody that cares about that isn't it it because he's just a cartoon character there worse things you could be fighting over, you choose to take out a beloved cartoon character over the fact that he's quote-unquote a womanizer you're really that afraid of a child seeing something like that I'm sorry y'all are ridiculous.

Baia (or Bahia) is one of Brazil's states, named for Bahia de Todos os Santos (The Bay of All Saints). The song and movie specifically feature the capital of Bahia, the city of São Salvador.
