I think Deadpool and Wolverine will age better than no way home because the main appeal is that we’ll see Deadpool and Wolverine together and I feel that the cameos are just a bonus, where as with no way home, the main appeal was the cameos from Tobey and Andrew.

And I completely respect that! The one thing I’d say is maybe just go into the movie with an open mind at least because we STILL almost barely know anything about this movie. That could be a different Wolverine than the Logan we know, we’ll just have to see in the movie. I get what you mean about the humor, I feel like they’re trying to shove that down our throats on purpose for marketing reasons, I’m sure it’ll be less in the actual movie.

My hype level is still sky high because after No Way Home and Multiverse, I stopped watching the leak videos lol. Like even if the movie is going to be bad, I want to at least be surprised by a few things

I haven't been excited over a Marvel production in years. They went from multiple billion dollar movies a year, to following THE DUMBEST BUSINESS MODEL I've ever seen. And now poor Deadpool and a very aged Wolverine have to save the MCU and Disney. The fans will show out BECAUSE THEY'RE STARVING. If they've Disnefied Deadpool with a $hit story, it'll be a race to make as much money as possible before word gets out. Then they'll blame Toxic Fans (stupida$$ term) and Superhero Fatigue (Bull$hit term) for the infamous 70% 2nd week drop. I hope I'm wrong, but this has been their M.O.
One thing that’s great is that the people who got to see the first 40 minutes early said that they don’t hold back at all and there’s some heavy shots at Disney in the movie with the jokes, which makes me happy. It’s a shame that this movie does have to sort of save the MCU, but it makes for an interesting concept if they address it in a way and the fact that there’s 4th wall break in this franchise makes it more than fit in my eyes to be the one to do it. Great thoughts

I don’t want to jump the gun, but I saw some people that got to see some of it early saying it’s “peak Marvel”. I don’t wanna spoil anything for myself, just saw a comment or two, but that’s wild.

I’m excited for this movie. What I hope they do in this movie: 1) do a good job with wolverine 2) make sense of the fox x-men timeline in comparison to the mcu ‘sacred timeline’ 3) maybe include a couple cameos from Tim story’s fantastic four films 4) tell a compelling, stand alone and rewatchable story 5) maybe revisit past mcu scenes from phases 1-3 using archive footage and new footage 6) finally I’d like to see the movie respect the fox marvel legacy, both the good and the bad. Maybe some of this is wishful thinking but I do think most of these points I’ve made are realistic based on what I’ve heard behind the scenes and seen in the promotion of this film.
The thing is, I feels even if Deadpool & Wolverine does well, it does not guarantee if the MCU is going to regain the momentum it had between 2016-2019. Only if all the releases of 2025 are banger after banger will the MCU gain back what it lost. This means The Fantastic Four does not need to be just good, it has to be great. Same goes for Blade, same goes for Brave New World. Then in 2026 Marvel can look to telling more complex stories like an Avengers film.

This movie also has to make around a billion dollars to make a profit because it’s rumored the budget is 250 million and they’re spending too much money on the marketing so they budget with marketing is prob 500 million and they need around double the profit so they need 1 billion dollars just to make a profit
Honestly the budget is probably like 200 million with marketing at around 75-100 million max. I don’t think any movie in history has ever had a 250 million dollar marketing campaign. To break even they’re probably going to need to make 650-700 or so

It gave everyone back the two og spidermen, a bunch of old villains were back, it lived up to its title, it had high stakes and climax, shows Peter’s development and took it a step further, took him back to basics, tremendous CG, the plot made sense, took a lot from the comics, had redemption arcs for the other spidermen. Sure there were a few plot holes, it might not be perfect, but the film went above and beyond in a lot of ways, And your out nitpicking. Where at a point where one little flaw makes you disappointed at the movie. The critical score, audience reaction and box office says it all about nwh, don’t say it’s quality is bland. You can talk about the negatives of Dr strange 2, because that movie was a weak lie.
