You know it's always a pleasure and a blessing to see you and I too think about your dad every time I see your videos blessings to you and your family look forward to seeing what God has for you in this year 👍🙏😊
Every time I look at the cabin, I think of your dad. What a wonderful gift he gave you, knowing his hands had touched the home you can pass down to your daughter and the stories you can tell her.♥️
This family is traditional and strong. The greatest form of government is the nuclear family. I love the wilderness myself. I can’t wait to get out of my dreaded job [OTR driver, that never gets home and when I do, I get punished for doing so].
In the last episode I said that my Dad, a forester, would have been impressed with how you fell the tree and that he enjoyed watching your cabin build. He would have been just as impressed with how you fell this tree, but more so how you use what you harvest. He loved how you harvested your own timber and processed it with the sawmill to make lumber for the build - he was a carpenter as am I as he taught me. He pointed out your connection to and respect for the land, the trees, and how you are caring for the forest by thinning it correctly and then using the materials respectfully. The forest provides for you if you care for the forest! Your father and my father would both be proud how you care for the forest. God Bless and Take Care!
Good seeing you today sir. Trusting that your bride’s health has stabilized. The lighting storm images were awesome. Wishing you and your family a blessed spring season filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Peace brother.
Thank you, my friend! Mrs. Outsider's health continues to be a daily challenge for her, but we're walking through it together. As for the lightning storm, it was incredible to watch! My daughter and I watched it for a good half hour together. She absolutely loved it!
@@TheOutsiderCabin She and YOU remain in our prayers and Reiki intentions for her continued recovery and strength for you and your daughter. Peace brother
Thank you for another enjoyable video at your family's cabin. For those of us who don't know the full process, would you ever consider making another video with the footage that gives the details of the maple syrup making process? Things like how to tap a tree properly, what equipment to use, what you're looking for when boiling the sap, and proper temperatures you need to hit and for how long. Thank you again for sharing part of your life with us!
Mr Outsider, it was interesting to watch you perform the tasks required to make authentic maple syrup. Glad Mrs Outside and the Little Outsider were able to enjoy it with you. 👍👍👍
Outsider, What a joy this video was. From snow and wolves to your sweet family enjoying a day boiling maple sap down with you. A lovely tribute to your father as well as I imagine him drinking the maple sap coffee with you for years.
Spring will be here soon and you and your family will be able to enjoy the outdoors on the deck where the birds will be able to watch you. Warmest regards to all!
Great content, like usual. Really enjoyed seeing you be able to share family time at the cabin while making syrup. Those memories are the best. Mr. Outsider is proud of you as he watches down.
What a wonderful tradition you have of making the maple syrup together! The things you will pass on to your daughter that you learned from your Dad and Mom and family are the most beautiful memories and lessons learned! Thanks as always for sharing the cabin with your viewers it makes me very happy to watch and catch up with you! Stay well, enjoy summer!
I added reverse osmosis to my maple sugaring process a couple of years ago and never looked back. Even at the amateur/hobby level, squeezing 2/3 to 3/4 of the water out before starting the boil saves so much time and fuel.
So good to get another video from the outsider! Lovely that your family was with you overnight this time. I now know how maple syrup is made thank you! 😊
This Cabin is a very special place. Seeing it completed, I remember watching you work with your father, which is a seldom fulfilled dream in today's world. But when I see the inside, to me it becomes a testament of your Love for your wife and family. for her travails, and for your joint reliance upon God and his Grace to see you through it. The notion that you would share this with us astounds me. It is precious, and personal, and a ministry of its own. She is in my prayers, as are you and your daughter.
Amazing video my friend....so informative about the art of making maple syrup .....the fam is looking good.....I hope their health is the same.....cheers my friend keep up the good work !
Hey, awesome video clip on making maple Syrup . And it was nice to see everyone. Every place on the maple syrup taces different. And awesome job on making the syrup. Anyway stay safe and sound and take care and god bless you all 😊
Mr. Outsider, each video brings something else to be in awe of! Again, your tree felling skills are otherworldly!! The tasks you take on you do with such great proficiency! I love your videos! And to think...we watched you build a small fire and not even use a butane lighter, instead, opting for the old timey way! You have my deepest respect! Blessings!
Always Always Always such amazing videos. Can’t wait to see the plans you have for the front porch. You stay safe as well my friend. Many blessings to you and your family. 👍😎✌️

Hello Outsider again and family! Glad your daughter could join you and your wife. You two are great mentors for her. Also was grandpa as I still see his face in your videos. Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful thunder storm. The lighting was spectacular ✨️ You are an excellent narrator my Christian Brother! It’s great to see you and your family enjoying the tradition of making maple syrup at the cabin. Senior Outsider would be proud of all the great work you did on the cabin. Peace be with you and your family.
I always love watching your videos. What a blessing it is to have this special place that you and your family can come to. I remember when I first came upon your channel it was to watch how you made pine tea… I’ve been hooked ever since. Watching you and your dad work so hard on this beautiful place and now seeing the results where you can spend so much time with your family. That is such a blessing. I’m praying your wife is doing well. I’m excited to see what the next adventure brings. May God continue to bless you. 🙏
I loved this video, a lovely calm comes over me with your gorgeous cabin, the beautiful environment, the sounds of the fire and nature it’s just so peaceful. I love maple syrup but have never tried home made, I imagine it is delicious, thank you for sharing the process and having your family there with you, so nice, great memories. Always look forward to your next instalment. Peace and good health to you and your lovely family 🙏🏻😊
My mum died in 2015 and (strangely) I thought that she’d particularly enjoy this episode… she, like your dad, would have REALLY appreciated all the hard work and effort you put in… your dad would be super proud.
Nice to see a new episode and it includes your wife and daughter! The maple syrup cooking during the boil down was almost detected here at home. Thank you for sharing. Your sponsor's products and order procedures sound intriguing🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
Watching your videos always humbles me and also calms me. So glad to see you and the family enjoy what you and your dad labored so hard to obtain. God bless you all.
I bought some pure maple syrup and my mother came over for a visit. We shared a love for good food. I served her some syrup , and she knew something didn't taste right. She told me it tasted like creosote. She was right. She added that whoever made it didn't know what they were doing . Take care and enjoy the simple things we sometime take for granted.
What an arduous process and you end up with one jar of maple syrup that obviously is like “gold”. Incredible to watch the process… Beautiful family. Thank you for sharing all that you share with all of us.
I sure do like that espresso pot! Always good to see one of your videos arrive. Good job, felling that tree. YAY, you and family enjoying boildown, with the comfort of that awesome cabin! Your daughter has really grown. I was expecting her as a toddler! I have given up sugar for honey and maple syrup.👍🇨🇦😎💫🙏
I could honestly sit here and watch you all day long. There is something about you that keeps me entertained. I know one of the things is your voice, then there's your looks and normally the things that you are working on are very interesting.
There's nothing like pure maple syrup, wish i knew how to make my own. The imitation stuff just doesn't cut it my friend, may god bless you and the family and thanks for sharing

I just got notice of this video today, 4-25-24, 14 days late. Better late than not at all. 😀 Thank you for sharing with us the process of making maple syrup. I always wondered about that process. It was nice to see your wife and daughter there with you! Your daughter sure has grown. I always love to see your videos. They always bring me a sense of inner peace! All the best to you and your family! 👍👍👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😀💕🌸
That was a really lovely video with the cabin being used for the family and as a base for home-made products - the maple syrup in this case. Also, it was so relaxing to see the cabin being used for family but to hear also of your intended projects for the building season. So enjoy your careful stewardship of the forest and also of your family. As an artisan, husband and father you are doing so well and we trust that God blesses you in every venture as you also stay close to Him.
I can't tell you how much I look forward to seeing your videos. Its become a Sunday morning tradition with a nice cup of coffee :). I'm excited to see where the build goes this year
Well done, loyal and faithful servant that harvested and melted down maple syrup. Y’all daughter I get big and bigger. Happy Springtime and your next build.
Mmmmmh ☺️ and I still cannot get over how beautiful your cabin is! When I find it hard to go to sleep, I imagine having a cabin like yours in the woods and what life would be like living out there in nature in such a great place, works every time ☺️👍🏻 Of course, I leave out the physically demanding parts 😉🫣
My brother and I watched you all through covid while we were lad up for three months sick. My brother passed this past Christmas Eve just like your father did. I was so glad he was able to see the cabin inside finished. He loved watching you. You did a beautiful job!
Wow, just listening to your voice and watching everything you do on the property, to the cabin….is so relaxing! Your channel is one of my favorite channels to enjoy ! ❤
Your Cabin Home is Beautiful and So Cozy. I'm sure your lovely wife and daughter love spending time there. Your Dad would be in Awe of how you completed this Beauty. The porch will add another element to the overall look. Will this be an Open or Enclosed porch?? Hug your Family and Stay Safe!!
It is truly amazing to watch you build everything and the processes you take to get from start to finish. I love your videos and it is always wonderful to see the family at the cabin. God bless you all. Waiting patiently for the First/next episode for 2025
Such a beautiful episode as always! The shots you are able to capture are nothing short of captivating! Love seeing Mrs.Outsider and Little Outsider joining in on the Maple syrup process! Well done! Your knowledge of the forest and all your skills are always so impressive . I can’t say enough about your narration. So peaceful and calming. Always such a blessing to watch . Looking forward to all that’s ahead!!❤
Oh the memories! I recall years as a teen, collecting sap with my family, boiling it down in our tiny sugar shack. Then as a father, I tapped trees with my oldest son...we were able tp get a bit over s gallon. Your daughter will cherish this memory, for sure.
What a wonderful experience, it is a labor intensive process but the finished product is so delicious…like no other. Your adherence to protecting nature is impressive as you build this beautiful getaway home.
Love that you share this journey with us. I so appreciate all your skills and love of our Lord. My dad was a wonderful woodworker, cabinet maker, carpenter, etc. So it means so much to me to watch you and your lovely family. Thank you.
You've come along way since the $500 cabin build. I've enjoyed seeing you build up the cabin, the good times, and unfortunately, some bad ones. I'm sure your Pa is looking down with admiration. The cabin is just looking wonderful!!! God bless.
I was so excited to see that you had posted another episode!!! I was just getting ready to go to bed when I saw that you had a post so I stopped to see what you were up to!!! I knew I couldn't wait until morning!! :) Your making maple syrup brought back "sweet" memories of my growing up - my mother would tap several of the maple trees that lined our street and she would make maple syrup on our kitchen stove! I grew up in northwestern Pennsylvania. Thank you for sharing!!! God bless you and your sweet family!!!🥰🙏
Hi from the UK. Thank you for another very interesting video. As said, that thunder storm was awesome. Your tree felling is a skill not too many people have, as the military say. . . BZ (Bravo Zulu, VERY well done). Here in the UK we don't have the freedom you guys are lucky to have (or the space), which is why I have really enjoyed watching from felling and debarking the tree along with dragging those big rocks up from the river to the cabins present site. Looking forward with bated breath as to what you are going to do next. Thank you. Stay Safe.
For later use, we used an uncooked egg to clear the syrup prior to removing it from the main fire. You can clear it as many times as you want, the egg collects a lot of the ash and other particles. Once removed we strained it before finishing. For boil over prevention, we used a white pine whisp (small limb, many branches) to dip into the pot about to boil over. Settles down immediately. Last time I made a run I got a little over 4 gallons. A lot of hard work and patience.
Wow! Just amazing! You’ll have Maple syrup for the year, the good kind. Your family cabin is stunning and ever so cozy and warm. You can the love that was put into its construction.
Ah the memories of making maple syrup with my kids for many years and we usually made a gallon many days and nights over a wood fire as well. So nice to have your family be there and enjoy the process. May the good Lord keep his healing arms around your wife. Blessings to you and your families. 😊🇺🇲
I love everything about the cabin, both inside and outside, except the inside stair that stands in the middle of the floor and is so steep. It is well done, yes, but I had moved it to the wall and buildt a repos or landing and a stair from the landing close to the wall and up and the other half of the stair, down from the landing(?). Put a rail/banister on both stairs, that will NOT be steep and much more safe for you all, especially for your daughter and below the stairs, she can have her "place" with her things, a table and a chair too and not least, much more open space in the living room too. Have you consider something like this? Love and light to you all.
I have been watching several cabin building videos for a few years. This cabin is by for my favorite cabin, it is the most beautiful cabin of them all. And I must say, It breaks my heart that your parents aren't with you and your family, to experience and enjoy the fruit of yalls labor. I do Look forward to watching yall make yourselves many, many wonderful memories in your awesome cabin. God Bless you and your family.
It was certainly a thrill to see you this morning! It brought a huge smile that will now last me the rest of the day!! It was great seeing the wife and daughter with you this time.
It's a beautiful cabin. Miss your Dad but sure was 21:19 nice to see your wife and daughter. Can't wait for the next build. By the way nice job bringing down the trees 🌳
How ya doin' Brother Outsider?! It was delightful to hear the sounds of your daughter playing outside the cabin. Mrs. Outsider's looking well I might add. It also was pretty cool to watch the maple syrup boil down. Looks like there's a lot of water content in the sap that needs to be boiled off. Psa. 116:7! 😇🥰
So happy to see you, again! I imagine that batch of syrup is just a bit sweeter knowing the whole family was involved in the making of it! I am very excited to see the porch build coming up! Take care, and we’ll see you soon!
Hello Mr Outsider it's nice seeing your wife and daughter again, pray your wife is better it was a joy watching you boiling the sap down, the wolves came to visit, nice video thanks for sharing stay blessed stay safe
I'm still here my friend. This was informative and kept my interest. Seen many other videos of DIYers cooking down maple sap and each one is different from the others. Yet somehow so satisfying. It's always the same boiling tons of sap for just the small amount in the end. But it is definitely well worth it when you taste that golden brown goodness. You're right, there's nothing like the taste of home made Maple syrup. ..... Once more, Good on You! Say hello to your family for me. Would like to meet ya all one day. Your cyber friend, Me southern AZ. (USA)
Love watching the happenings at your cabin! I remember watching you and your Dad build. Yum Maple syrup. Well! Hello Mr. Wolf. Wow! That thunder cloud lightening was beautiful! Great videography!
Great seeing you and your family enjoying the cabin together. All the years of hard work and you can finally enjoy it with your loved ones. Fantastic video, already looking forward to the next one. God Bless you my brother!
Nice job on that Syrup boil! I’m sure there were many thoughts of Senior Outsider while you were spending time out there with your family. The cabin is just spectacular! Thanks for sharing!

When I find it hard to go to sleep, I imagine having a cabin like yours in the woods and what life would be like living out there in nature in such a great place, works every time ☺️👍🏻 Of course, I leave out the physically demanding parts 😉🫣
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us , I hope everyone is doing well ! 🙏
My brother and I watched you all through covid while we were lad up for three months sick. My brother passed this past Christmas Eve just like your father did. I was so glad he was able to see the cabin inside finished. He loved watching you. You did a beautiful job!
My deepest condolences to you, my friend, in the loss of your brother.
Wow, just listening to your voice and watching everything you do on the property, to the cabin….is so relaxing! Your channel is one of my favorite channels to enjoy ! ❤
Thank you for sharing. And thank you to your guardian friends with you. They are lovely.
Waiting patiently for the First/next episode for
2025
Such a beautiful episode as always! The shots you are able to capture are nothing short of captivating! Love seeing Mrs.Outsider and Little Outsider joining in on the Maple syrup process! Well done! Your knowledge of the forest and all your skills are always so impressive . I can’t say enough about your narration. So peaceful and calming. Always such a blessing to watch . Looking forward to all that’s ahead!!❤
Glad to see you and the family again.
God bless.
It is truly a special occasion. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience with us. God bless you 🙏
I was so excited to see that you had posted another episode!!!
Thank you. Stay Safe.
Much appreciated, my friend. 🙂🙏
Great video again, lovely to see your wife and daughter. Psalm 128 :1 and 2.
Oh it is lovely to see your two loves enjoying the cabin and the woods. What a great family day you made. Well done.
Another wonderful episode, missed you brother, God bless you and your family, Amen🙏👏💕🇬🇧
Wish you had more episodes, love your lifestyle with nature. God bless my friend
Psa. 116:7! 😇🥰
You are the best Tuber
So happy to see you, again! I imagine that batch of syrup is just a bit sweeter knowing the whole family was involved in the making of it! I am very excited to see the porch build coming up! Take care, and we’ll see you soon!
Hello Mr Outsider it's nice seeing your wife and daughter again, pray your wife is better it was a joy watching you boiling the sap down, the wolves came to visit, nice video thanks for sharing stay blessed stay safe
I'm still here my friend. This was informative and kept my interest. Seen many other videos of DIYers cooking
down maple sap and each one is different from the others. Yet somehow so satisfying. It's always the same
boiling tons of sap for just the small amount in the end. But it is definitely well worth it when you taste that
golden brown goodness.
When it is made with love you know it is going to be good.
Great seeing you and your family enjoying the cabin together. All the years of hard work and you can finally enjoy it with your loved ones. Fantastic video, already looking forward to the next one. God Bless you my brother!
God bless you and your family my friend.
A lot of work, but I bet it is delicious, God bless you and your family.
Nice job on that Syrup boil! I’m sure there were many thoughts of Senior Outsider while you were spending time out there with your family. The cabin is just spectacular! Thanks for sharing!
