I am curious on your input! I am usually a 44 across the board and I got a pair of geobaskets in a 44, but honestly it fits pretty tight on the sides for me. (I have a wider foot.) I had to take the original sole out and but my own, and now it fits just ok but still tight. Do you think getting a pair of the mainline mega bumpers in a size 45 will be too big of jump? Really appreciate the videos to have made so far for the mega bumpers! They have been super informative and helpful.
If you still can, I would recommend returning the ones that are too tight. And maybe see if there are half sizes available for them. Even if they're only a little too tight, you are probably going to skip wearing them because of slight discomfort.. My personal pair of geobaskets are from 2014 I believe.. I bought them a size too big, and never had any trouble with my geobaskets.. But I wear thicker socks in general so it always worked. Right now the sizing seems to be true to size, but if there aren't any half sizes, you don't really have an other option than to true the size up!
I recently experienced this with the mainline mega bumpers I never owned a pair of Rick owens but I’m size 47/14 in All other designers Off white , Balenciaga, Lanvin, Dolce, Louis V, Jordan Nike and Yeezy but the Rick owens was too tight like I couldn’t feel or wiggle my toes wasn’t any room to move and the side of my feet were losing circulation. I’m wondering if sizing up to a 48 would make a difference or would they still be too tight on the sides
Just got my mega bumpers in (I ended up getting a 44), and Even though the sides still feel tight at first, my mega bumpers have a lil more room than my geobaskets. They feel like they will break in easier than my geobaksets. I feel like the length would have made a lil difference if I went with a 45, but still probably would have fit the same width wise. I am not entirely sure since I have not actually tried on a 45. I got both for final sale so I couldn’t return to try a bigger size. If you can, try buying from a site that allows returns or size exchanges in hopes u can experiment with the sizing.

I don't own both, I've had them both at the same time. The main goal was getting a Mainline pair, but it ended up being too small.. So I returned those and settled for a DRKSDHW pair.. Buyers remorse.. But kept them a month in box, found another mainline pair on another website and ordered those.. Those worked perfect, and the DRKSHDW ones I could still return! It makes no sense to have both, I guess!
I thought you were going to compare the mega bumpers (current season) with the double bumpers (from some seasons ago). But it turns out you’re comparing mainline vs drkshdw from current season. Main difference between mainline and drkshdw is that Maine line has 7 eyelets and drkshdw has 8 eyelets so the top is higher and the tongue longer (besides the fabric difference, Mainline is always leather and drkshdw is always fabric).
Someone argued a height difference about current season, because it said both "double" and "mega" on the website. Might get confusing, but yes, these are since the mega bumper season(s).

which pair is more comfortable for long-time wearing?
For both I suggest mainline, I prefer the leather, solid feel!

Technically the drkshdw is still called double bumper and the mainlines are called mega bumper
