We are big fans of bodyguards as well. We are excited to experiment even further with the strong Aggro meta for shimmering skies, with Daisy and all. Love the idea of Donald Duck bodyguarding his gf! 🤣🤣
Thanks for the info. I’ve been looking for a place to learn more about Lorcana since I’m new in all of this and you guys make it so easy to understand 😊
I have a question regarding Ursula’s groom. Maybe I misunderstood, but it seems like that the Bodyguard keyword contains the ability to be played exerted. With the fortisphere it is given that it can give the keyword to already played characters, so you cannot play them, but with Erik, if there is an Ursula and he gets the bodyguard, can’t he be played exerted? Really the main question when he gets the bodyguard keyword. I do not know whether there is an official ruling, if yes, that it is given, otherwise it might be discussed.
In the case of Eric, the bodyguard ability printed on his card does not include the option to enter play exerted (the same for the new Sleepy bodyguard). And indeed there was an official ruling via Discord that Eric cannot enter play exerted.
If I quest or challenge with a character that has Bodyguard, does he still protects (does he still has his Bodyguard function? Even when he is questing or challenging?). Thank you
Hey there! Yes, a bodyguard will still have its bodyguard ability/role, even if they have quested or challenged that turn. They are bodyguard even if they are not exerted. The difference is that in the majorly of times, the opponent wouldn’t be able to challenge them, if they are ready. But some abilities bypass that condition. And when it happens, that card is still a bodyguard and must be targeted first, if able.
@@InkbornHeroes thank you!!! Could you maybe do a video about how things work such as Sets, Starter Decks (if every starter deck comes with the same card), Booster Packs (I know they are random, but does the same random cards always come together?) For example one of my many doubts about Sets is: are they unique cards that you can't buy once there is an upcoming new Set? are they like seasons? Can I get a card from for example set 2 in a set 4 starter deck? What exactly are the differences between them? Thank youuu!!
We are planning indeed to do a general “Disney Lorcana Products Explained” video, but I need to remember if the script covered information at THIS low level details. I will make sure to check it out. Either way, to your specific questions here: 1. At the moment, there’s always a new Set every 3 months. So a total of 4 sets per year, concluding the main story arch of that year. Every new set introduces brand new 204 cards and 18 new enchanted (which are one of the 204 cards, but with a new art style). These 204 new cards are UNIQUE to that set. So, if for example, you buy a booster box or pack from Set 3, you won’t find any cards from set 2. 2. When it comes to starter decks, as of right now, every starter deck includes 60 cards. These cards are ALWAYS the same in that starter deck. So there’s no reason to buy two copies of that same deck, if you are in search of new cards. And the high majority of the cards are unique for that set. However, they tend to include 3-6% of cards from previous sets of that same year. For example, Set 4 (which was part of Year 1, included some cards from sets 1-3 as well. But very little). While Set 5 (which was the first set of Year 2, had all 60 cards being brand new, because it was the first set of year 2). But then with azurite sea (set 6), it’s starter decks will indeed include some cards from set 5 as well, because it belongs to year 2. I hope that helps a little bit! We will try to make a video giving more details. 😅
Very informative video! Love the body guard keyword. Donald is my favourite one 😊
