Hi Mark. Spot on review of a bike again. If us bikers could look beyond the BRAND NAME, this little thing or not so little thing is a right gem. It looks good , sounds great, and for the money well its got to be good. People will allways say the reliability of these isn't proven but look at KTM's. Brand new bikes getting towards 20 grand having issues that should never be. This bike is more than capable of pleasing many a biker. THANKYOU.👍👍👍
There's very little choice here in the UK for a (relatively cheap) lightweight ADV bike with "proper" wheels and ground clearance. As Kawasaki have seen fit not to import the KLX300 then it's basically this or the Honda CRF which is considerably more expensive. For that matter, there's a pretty good argument to say the Voge is better. Certainly as far as the suspension is concerned. I test rode one this morning (from the same dealer as it happens) and was so impressed I bought one. Having watched Marks review I'd pretty much agree with everything he says though I did give it a bit more of a hard time in the dirt (mud actually) and it behaved admirably, better than I'd expected. For more dirt riding a change of tyres might be optimal but pushed too hard I'd expect the suspension would show its limitations so maybe consider a proper enduro bike if that's your aim. As standard though, I'd say it's a well matched package and more than capable for a bit of greenlaning. (I definitely intend to find out just how capable in due course). One other thing that Mark mentioned to me and, having ridden the bike, I'd tend to agree. It might benefit from an extra tooth on the front sprocket which may make it a little less "buzzy" on the road. Of course that's swings and roundabouts with it use off road. As (apparently) the engine is based on the KLX300 then I'd expect finding alternative sprockets should be fairly easy and cheap. I'd also guess there's a little more power to be had with a few "mods" to the exhaust. I may yet find out. Anyway. Great review as usual Mark and hope you have fun on the bike you're reviewing tomorrow. ;-)
Hi good to meet you and glad you enjoyed the voge and bought one :) Yes I think they are great for the money and like you say there aren't that many small capacity off road adv bikes to choose from Cheers mark
I am so glad you do rewiews on the Voge bikes. They are always in italian or greek or something. Got a 300DS, very happy with it. Thinking of bying a 300ACX because of the lower seathigh. Hope to see tests on more Voge bikes from you Mark. Drive safe. Jan Tore.
Nice one mark. My dad has some platforms from 1968 so yes I could ride it. 😂 These VOGE bikes politics aside are great value. Perhaps biking is becoming affordable again!?
If I didn't already have a ktm390 adventure I'd seriously consider this. Other than a bash plate it's ready to go anywhere really, with the crash bars , nice high and tucked in silencer , and the rear rack. Looks nice and substantial. One small suggestion for you Mark, feel free to dismiss it. You mentioned, 'the brakes are starting to bed in nicely' . If you are testing a brand new (i.e. not run in bike) maybe mention that, as we well know, bikes settle in and engines free up a tad after some miles have been put on them. Just so folk know you are using brand new pads/tyres etc and not giving it huge handfuls :)
I bought the KTM when it first came out and was completely underwhelmed with its off road capabilities. Wheel size and riding position are not ideal. Having said that. It certainly isn't short of power. Definitely more road biased IMHO.
I bought one of these bikes from Bolton bikes 2 weeks ago l find it great to ride very comfortable makes me smile when riding it's great value at £3,799 with 12 months road tax included in the price and £100 fully comp insurance... The bike looks great very solid and stylish in black the gears are very smooth and pulls away easily in 2nd gear with no probs... On the left side to the speedo there is a USB socket to plug your phone or a sat nav into very handy... All in All l can't fault the bike I'd also say this looks far better than the CRF 300 rally with the lovely tail tidy as standard the engine protectors with the hand protectors and looks more solid and stylish than the honda crf range, l was also informed that the new honda bikes aren't made by honda.... The price l paid is also 2 grand cheaper than the crfs ... Loads for your money... Stuart G from Blackpool..... 😊
Too bad they don’t sell them in the United States. They’d sell like hot cakes if you had a lowering kit with it. I’m 63 years old with a 30 inch inseam, I don’t need a Honda that will last me 30 years
I meant to say... When testing an adventure/dirt/scrambler bike from Poole Moto... Go right (Blandford direction) then first left down Sandy Lane, follow that all the way till it turns into Watery Lane (there's a clue in there somewhere) keep following that as it bends round to the left and past the blue sign " unsuitable for motor vehicles" (another clue) then follow that down and round till you get to the T Junction at Slough Lane which brings you back on to Sandy lane. Few puddles and stretches of mud but nothing too serious. Perfectly legal too. Feel free to delete.
Much better looking than the Enfield Himalayan. Residuals would be my only concern. But if you bought one of these you'd keep it for a long time. Getting your moneys worth.
Pretty sure I am going to get one of these in spring 24. I have a NT1100 and want a 2nd smaller capacity bike for local and short trips and the ability to do light byways. I have never ridden on anything off tarmac but quite fancy a go. Great looking and value. Andrew
Looks good. Lots of bike for little money. The engine is from the Kawasaki 300 that Loncin build for the 300 series Kawasaki models. Must be worth a punt for the price of a big four 125 cc bike. Plus it has hand guards, rack & engine defenders. Even my Mrs would let me add one of these to my collection... Just need some lowering links and bring the front forks down by an equal amount. Want to test one and maybe purchase one of these....
If the build is as good as the ds then its going to be a good bike. Better valve than the himilayan and 158 kg compared to 200kg of the enfield and better power to weight ratio and certainly looks better. I think these could sell well. Nathan millward is borrowing one for a while after the abr will be interested in what he thinks compared to his crf.
I'm 5 feet 8 and 57years old just test rode this bike at the Abr festival. I to thought it might be to tall but I thought what the hell give it a go!. I managed it quite easily height wasn't an issue and this was on a off road trail with no experience.
G'day from Australia, Mark, that's a well rounded Adventure Bike ( trail bike to us older riders) the price will put in comparison with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 410cc, Australian's conditions would prefer a large engine for distance riding but the weekend rider or around town the 350cc will be perfect, great review, cheers mate ride safe, Neil 🤠.
Great review mark looks really good but it is tall.if I was looking for one and didn't have budget for a Honda then I would be more than happy with the voge
I was looking at a CRF but all the reviews say you have to spend an additional £1000 to £1500 to put decent front suspension on it. No way I buying a brand new bike with unusable front suspension.
Thanks mark & a good review - incredible, as i looked at your channel last night to see if you'd tried one yet ! i've been eyeing these up recently & at last i've now got the true seat height, which is somewhat more than i would normally like. Like yourself, i'm a 29-30" inside leg but i did hear on another channel from abroad that there might be a lowering kit available - do you think that Poole moto might have any clues ?
A lowering kit would definitely be available I'm sure as it's just standard dog bones on the rear shock which could easily be swapped to lower the bike a bit Cheers mark
@@markpulling12 Thanks mark - nice to know it's got dog bones rather than direct like my hornet 600, though i can flatfoot a doddle on that ! Have you noticed the Voge engine has a somewhat striking resemblence to a 2022 kwak KLX 300 lump - same bore & stroke as well ! 👍
Hi Mark another Mark here..I like your honest reviews..Now the direct comparison we would want to see is the Honda 300 rally...you took the Honda 300l on dual carriage way and it did 70 mph at 7000 rpm this bike only did 60 mph at 7000 rpm ... so it would need a sprocket change to allow it to do 70 like the Honda on the dual carriageway....and make it more applicable for cross country adventure biking I believe this would give it a leg up on the Honda and it comes with a better suspension and is cheaper....thoughts..

thanks mark...it def sounds like the Kawasaki motor kinda scary at high RPM but with the sprocket change it will be fine...My friends on world tour with Honda and want to join up with me for South America (where I am)..I think this may be a good option
Looks great . My only gripe would be spares and getting them . I have a 22 yr old xr 250 which this is modelled on ..so i wouldn't be gaining that much other than the electric boot . Interesting none the less .
I ordered one of these back in Feb. I thought i could review it first. I’ve been told I’m still a few weeks away of getting it. I’m going to cancel the order now. The bike shop has massively let me down. Gutted. Can’t even get in first when I buy one. I’ve got no hope with this TH-cam business 😂 well done mark. 🤬
Sorry to hear that you didn't get your bike yet ...I thought there were plenty coming into the UK for supply to all the dealers .....I wonder if another batch is due soon to moto gb ...might be worth contacting them to get an ETA / heads up ..I've got a feeling these voge models and the others in their range are going to sell well Best wishes mark
Thanks Mark, It's refreshing to see a small capacity "Adventure" bike as many seem to be monstrous these days. It seems there is no reason not to try or even own one of these. Additionally your local roads are glorious right now. :>)
@peternicholas1745 , "no reason" for not owning one? How about, that by getting one, you are supporting a Communist regime bent on taking over the world? Of course you'll save a few quid over the price of a Honda. Splendid job.
& overpriced for what they are with no accesories as standard. The engines are good but so are chinese engines these days but Honda chooses to fit poor suspension, cheap corroding fasteners & engine paint as per my ex cb500x & current forza 350 scoot. Loads of components on the Honda are made in china & taiwan.
I was looking at these to get for touring/camping and they do seem like good bikes, but the seat height was a definite NO NO for me, way to tall (reason im selling my 125 Bullit hero, £1400 if anyone is interested hehe😂). Shame really!! Cool review Mark as always, see you on your next adventure ✌️ 🤙 🤟.
Guess will see some at the ABR! Will have a look at it if so. 150 kilos and 28bhp pretty nice, shame re tank size. Another 4l would have been perfect..
@@jasonstaunton5985 Well was thinking Voge might be there? I have the emails could check...not printed anything out yet. P.s Motomorini will be and Enfield (kinda obvious). Oh and Fantic.
Hi Mark. Thank you for this. I always enjoy your first impressions test rides. Especially your seated on the bike shots, I’ve got the same inside leg. The problem with these Chinese bikes, and this is no way a dig at you, is the quality just isn’t there. Own this bike for a year plus and you will soon find out. One winter will have this bike looking like it’s been pulled out of a lake, first ride in the wet will have you replacing the cheap tyres for something that won’t kill you. I’ll bet money the owners hand book is written in pigeon English. If you have to convince yourself the bike was worth it because it was cheap you would’ve been better off buying a second hand Japanese bike. You get what you pay for and these Chinese bikes are always long term trouble. Just ask the experienced mechanics that refuse to work on them 🤣
First time to know this brand, Voge. Looks pretty nice at first sight. You said Loncin? which means they are one of the Chinese automakers? I used to live in Chongqing, China around the year of 2000. Working for Japan and China joint capital company for motorcycle industry for a while. Dramatically changed qualities.
To be fair, that looks like a decent bike, the Japanese manufacturers should be seriously worried. Once they get their dealership network, and parts availability up to scratch, they will take a big chunk of the market.
Hi Mark, just tried this bike today and here is my brief opinion of it : "Comments after Essais/Test ride : Front brake pretty-much non existent, back brake good; Taller than I remembered; VERY short gearing, leading to 60 kph at 6000 rpm 6th gear; Vibey, like riding a 125cc; Good handling/cornering on-road; didn’t test off-road; Not for me."
Yes I noticed the short gearing needs higher really for road use but fine for off road Very good suspension I thought better than a crf Best wishes mark
Hello Mark! In the Greek edition of the official Voge site the seat height is listed at 877mm. Which is quite different than the 920mm your are stating. Are you sure about the 920mm?
Seems like a decent bike especially for the money, I’m going to be downsizing for health reasons, how do you think this compares with the Royal Enfield Scram 411
Thanks Mark. They really have upped the bar on Yamaha's XT250 based upon price and number of included accessories. But the seat height will relegate them to taller riders and the spoked wheels a real nuisance for changing tubes out on the back roads. The gas tank is also too small meaning an emergency gas bladder will be required for longer off road adventures. The top speed performance should have been upped allowing 80 mph on highway. Unfortunately, way too many negatives for me. I'm still waiting for Yamaha to update their XT250 to a better version. Gord
i dont think you can make a 300cc go 80mph consistently, you're gonna rev the hell out of that little single cylinder, i wish it could though! and even if it did, most bikes like these have a sweet spot of 60-65ish, if you go 75mph constantly you're super high in the rev range and it vibrates and rattles like crazy. sadly i have resigned myself that if i want an adventure bike thats good on the highway, an engine thats at least 500cc dual cyl is a must
@@LiviuXSA In this category, you are correct. But if geared properly at top end fifth gear, 300cc will get you up to 95mph. The Yamaha X-Max 300 is proof of that. But it is a CVT - continuous variable transmission... And they have that single cylinder balanced with very little vibrational hum at top end. Not a problem at all... Mark has reviewed those as well... Gord
@@richardjones3112 Yes... Yamaha have overpriced their XT250 and failed to update this model because they have no competition in the 510mm/31.5" seat height range in the dual sport category. The only reason you need more seat height and suspension travel is if you are going to jump these machines at speed on motocross tracks. And that market is very limited to a handful of youth with the balls and stupidity to risk breaking their necks just for an adrenaline rush. There are far more people with more money that would be interested in a lower seat dual sport application with moderate ground clearance for most off-road trails. The manufactures have not woken up to this fact. The proof is that Yamaha almost cancelled manufacturing of their XT250 back in 2020. But somehow woke up before going through with that. They had a captured market. You never shoot a model in a captured market. At the same time they put no more money into developing this model. If your going to keep a model and expand it's market, you can't sit on it. And right now... the market as a whole, is gravitating to less expensive lower powered models for easier cruising. This is why Royal Enfield have been so successful recently. People want a bike that is more relaxing and less stressful. They deal with so much stress these days they just don't want to go out and be stressed on their bike. The major marketing departments of the top manufactures seem loath to recognize this, until the market passes them by. They still think they are the market... until they aren't anymore. 🤯🙈 Gord
Well done Mark, gread video as normal, this looks like a well put together bike and at that price point is surely an affordable and capable unit worth considering...
Not sure if anybike with "Adventure" in the name should be offered with a meagre tank range and what looks like minimal carrying capacity. As such I can see it as a niche market bike and a cheaper option to a Honda crf350.. looks smart though.i would wait to see what options become available such as pannier racks carriers etc as their availability ( like the Himalayan) may help to increase sales imho
Does it have Adventure in the name? It’s got more than enough range for most people, you’re not going to want to sit on any small bike for hours without stretching your leg and it gets a lot of miles from every litre of fuel you put in. The mode for luggage on this sort of bike does away with the need for pannier racks, less outlay, less weight.
Great bike, just for the job, v light, for the taller people 😮, I like it, BMW engineering behind it, great price, reminds me of a polite gent 😅.... Unassuming and gentle 🎉
I honestly can’t see a downside to this bike for the money. If you kept it for for 5 years it would be still worth £2000 if you looked after it.A serious alternative to the Honda.
Thanks Richard my thoughts exactly...you should still get reasonable money back when you sell and it's not exactly big money in the first place:) Best wishes mark
The elephant in the room is the same that applies to all chinese bikes..can you get spares, how well will it stand up to a british winter and resale value. I know the chinese bikes have really improved but would you be better off with a used Himalayan?
@Mark Pulling it's great that we have a choice. The Himalayan is a heavy bike compared to the KTM, Honda and now Voge. I wonder if any luggage options will be available, not necessarily aluminium panniers.
@@AliasMrHackenbacker there is already pannier frame available from Ali Express. The bike has been in same in Asia for some time under a different brand name..
Engine is Kawa KLX 300 so you can use parts from this. No big deal. Bike is super easy to work on. Oil Filter, Sprockets and so on you can grab from your Kawa Dealer. Pretty much everything on this bike is some sort of spare part from other brands. It's a Loncin Bike after all. I would never buy other Chinese Brands. But Voge/Loncin is probably the only one you can buy atm. BMW let the GS 750 and 850 completely build there, in the same factory where is little bike pops out. They also build some japanese entry market engines from 150 to 500cc. Just put this bike side by side with the CRF 300 Rally. The Honda is losing in some quality ways. You can feel the Thailand build quality on the CRF. Especially the plastics, switches, gear box and the horrendous suspension. All parts where this cheap Chinese is better, crazy.
Great bike, dirt roads/two tracks are likely its limit Ito off roading. It's a pity there is no mud or water protection on front wheel. Looks like rider's legs and feet, engine, radiator will get blasted.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get your bike yet ...I thought there were plenty coming into the UK for supply to all the dealers .....I wonder if another batch is due soon to moto gb ...might be worth contacting them to get an ETA / heads up ..I've got a feeling these voge models and the others in their range are going to sell well
Best wishes mark
All sorted. I should have it in a few days 😎
Thanks Mark, It's refreshing to see a small capacity "Adventure" bike as many seem to be monstrous these days. It seems there is no reason not to try or even own one of these. Additionally your local roads are glorious right now. :>)
Many thanks Peter ☺️
@peternicholas1745 , "no reason" for not owning one? How about, that by getting one, you are supporting a Communist regime bent on taking over the world? Of course you'll save a few quid over the price of a Honda. Splendid job.
Hi Mark, good vid good to have Voge review in English, cheers ❤
Thanks for uploading. IDK, I would still take the CRF either 250 or 300 (both used) - well proven well regarded and well ........its a Honda......
& overpriced for what they are with no accesories as standard. The engines are good but so are chinese engines these days but Honda chooses to fit poor suspension,
cheap corroding fasteners & engine paint as per my ex cb500x & current forza 350 scoot.
Thanks rich ...yes this voge rides well but it's definitely tall lol 😂
Best wishes mark
Pozdrav zo Slovenska motorka sa dá znížiť
Another great Review! 😀
920mm Seat height😮
I am 5 feet 10 and reckon I would need a ladder to get on that!!!
Thanks Andrew yes it was touch and go for me 😂
Guess will see some at the ABR! Will have a look at it if so.
150 kilos and 28bhp pretty nice, shame re tank size. Another 4l would have been perfect..
if anyone manages to get one in time....
Just ask the experienced mechanics that refuse to work on them 🤣
if they ever come to canada i will buy one.
Hey Mark, nice review.
Where is that road and track you're riding on? Looks bit like Wareham forest area a bit!
Cheers.
Hi Jimmy the track is just on the left past the bovington turning
Quarter of a mile on the left
Cheers mark
Be interesting to compare this to the Benelli BX250 once it's released.
You mean BKX 250 ? (the adv one not the "S") I'm interested in that bike too it is supposed to be released this month, hopefully!
To be fair, that looks like a decent bike, the Japanese manufacturers should be seriously worried. Once they get their dealership network, and parts availability up to scratch, they will take a big chunk of the market.
Hi Mark, just tried this bike today and here is my brief opinion of it :
"Comments after Essais/Test ride :
Front brake pretty-much non existent, back brake good;
Taller than I remembered;
VERY short gearing, leading to 60 kph at 6000 rpm 6th gear;
Vibey, like riding a 125cc;
Good handling/cornering on-road; didn’t test off-road;
Not for me."
Yes I noticed the short gearing needs higher really for road use but fine for off road
Very good suspension I thought better than a crf
Best wishes mark
i am so going to get one :)
better suspension / aftermarket tuning and these will be everywhere
90% sure i will get one ,as soon as i can find a shop that will deliver
Poole Moto do UK delivery if that helps :)
Cheers mark
Hello Mark! In the Greek edition of the official Voge site the seat height is listed at 877mm. Which is quite different than the 920mm your are stating. Are you sure about the 920mm?
www.motogb.co.uk/model/2023-voge-rally-300-1341
States 920 mm either way it's a tall bike best wishes mark
@@markpulling12 Ok thanks for your reply
Seems like a decent bike especially for the money, I’m going to be downsizing for health reasons, how do you think this compares with the Royal Enfield Scram 411
Hi it's similar performance...but feels a lot lighter and much better off road
Cheers mark
@@markpulling12 Did you ever get a response from lexmoto regarding test riding the pioneer 500, I can’t find any reviews as yet.
Nathanthepostman has tested one over a few months and really rates it.
Gord
i dont think you can make a 300cc go 80mph consistently, you're gonna rev the hell out of that little single cylinder, i wish it could though! and even if it did, most bikes like these have a sweet spot of 60-65ish, if you go 75mph constantly you're super high in the rev range and it vibrates and rattles like crazy. sadly i have resigned myself that if i want an adventure bike thats good on the highway, an engine thats at least 500cc dual cyl is a must
Thanks Gord no probs all good valid points there cheers mark
You won’t get a Yamaha for this money.
Gord
Well done Mark, gread video as normal, this looks like a well put together bike and at that price point is surely an affordable and capable unit worth considering...
Thanks John yes it rides well at a great price best wishes mark
Thanks Richard my thoughts exactly...you should still get reasonable money back when you sell and it's not exactly big money in the first place:)
Best wishes mark
Could you review new Honda cl500 thanks
Yes Steven it's on the list ...doing the new transalp on Thursday :)
How tak you are ? And what about top speed ?
Hi Tomasz you can see me on the bike at the beginning I'm 170 cm ...top speed is about 75 mph
Cheers mark
This must be the 1st road registered 300? My dreamer told me today there are delays getting registered with the DVLA.. how did your dealer manage??
I haven't heard about delays I'll ask about this ....best wishes mark
But No fuel gauge why' ?
The elephant in the room is the same that applies to all chinese bikes..can you get spares, how well will it stand up to a british winter and resale value. I know the chinese bikes have really improved but would you be better off with a used Himalayan?
Hi Dave yes a good used Himalayan would be perfect...I guess this is just a different option..alot lighter too
Lots of choice about now
Cheers mark
I really think this bike could be worth a gamble.
Is it a two seater bike
Yes it's a 2 seater :)
So does anybody know if this is this a reliable and long lasting bike?
Check out Nathan postman review...3000 miles around Europe... id say yes it's reliable
Best wishes mark
Great bike, dirt roads/two tracks are likely its limit Ito off roading. It's a pity there is no mud or water protection on front wheel. Looks like rider's legs and feet, engine, radiator will get blasted.
I think it’s limit will be a lot higher. Almost any bike an cope with dirt tracks, the Voge raises the game far beyond that.
It sounds so much better than the Honda CRF300
Yes I agree 👍
Best wishes mark
the brand is originally pronounced wutschi 😉
should be compared to Honda CRF 300 rally
I think it's the same engine as the Kawasaki klx 300.
The cheap man pays twice.
Cheap or profligate, bikers are never satisfied, so we all pay twice.
vouche? Voge
Has no get up and go for canadas hiways ..sorry not for me
