    I got my wolf x (base model) to go 48 MPH for a few minutes consistently, but it settles at 46 most of the time. I only weight 120 lbs. though. And I went about 24 miles while going over 40 MPH the whole time. When I got home, the battery was at about 30%!!! I absolutely love this thing.

      It definitely works better on tubeless, but helps on tubed. The best thing is to make sure your tires are always correctly inflated. This will prevent pinch-flats. Then for punctures, I think tube liners might be the way to go, but I've never tried them on scooters, only on bicycles. -Paul

    Shame the folding mechanism isn’t the quickest and a thumb or twist throttle would be better. Also think the indicators could be better, should be an orange light to flash like with other vehicles (not red or normal light) and some high mounted ones at the front would be good like the upcoming king GT model!

      if you want to customize or upgrade parts later on (and you will, trust me...) you should pick the vsett 10+...
      For starters the suspension on the warrior is not upgradeable or serviceable or tunable to the extent that the vsett is.
      The vsett is a bit smaller so it would be easier to carry around...
      Folding mechanism is a lot better on the vsett...
      The warrior has a 27/30 amp controller, the vsett has a 35 amp (sport mode) controller...
      Vsett is cheaper, starting at u$s 1850 on aliexpress...
      There are a few mods and accesories already available for the vsett too like steering damper, carbon fiber fenders, led decks and more...
      I bought a vsett, customized the crap out of it and looking at the warrior now, i feel reasured...

The thing is here rains a lot half of the year, I know the Ninebot won't have problems, but I need more power, so considering the Warrior I've seen you mentioned pending IP rating X5, how did you test that ? What is the max range you can get with the X pro going at the full speed consistently? And what speed were you guys going to get that 40 mile range?

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The average speed during the range test for the Pro was 19.1 mph, including time spent speeding up and slowing down for stop signs and stop lights. So top speeds between stop signs were in the 22 to 25 mph range most of the time with occassional peaks in the 30's. On all of the scooters, we range test them with medium-to-agressive city riding. Out of the 70 scooters we have done range tests on (same test route), the X Pro had the 8th highest average speed.
      It would be really hard to find a spot where we could sustain 40+ miles per hour for 30 minutes or more, and wouldn't really be relevant to how the scooters are used most of the time.
      When Alex Simon crossed the US on electric scooters, including a Wolf X, he ended up averaging about 25mph on the entire fleet of scooters, because range really started falling off quickly after that. -Paul

      It's funny, because I wouldn't immediately think of them as being similar, but I do keep coming back to both of them and thinking about them in a similar way. I don't think we'll do a showdown between them any time soon, though I'd really like to. For longer rides, llight offroading, corner carving and high speed riding, I prefer the Wolf Warrior X. For shorter rides and throttle induced adrenaline rushes, I like the Vsett 10+. Looks-wise it's subjective, but I think the Vsett has the edge here, even though I don't care for yellow. The short-ish deck of the Vsett is probably the biggest negative about it. I would be super happy to own either of them though. I don't think you can go wrong picking one or the other. -Paul

      @@aks13v35 I got a support email saying it's confirmed by management that this batch of Wolf X's are only IP54 not IPX5, so less water resistant. You could probably ride it in light rain and be ok, but still a bit sketchy. No IPX5 is a bummer, that would have made this an immediate buy for me.

      @AKS13V The average speed for the Wolf X on the range test was 19.7 mph. This might not sound that fast, but it's the 4th highest pace ever on a range test. It ties the Dualtron Storm for average speed. This includes speeding up and slowing down at stop signs and lights, but not the actual time spent sitting still at the stop lights. Typical top speed between stop signs was around 25 mph, with peaks in the low to mid 30's. -Paul

    Hello:) I'm between Kaabo Wolf Warrior X, Nanrobot d6+ and Dualtron (aka Minimotors) Victor Luxury. I am 85kg and i want it mainly for commuting in city, i don't really care about top speed just for reliability and safety :) If you want to suggest another option under 2.500 dollars, feel free :) Thank you! ^^

    Hi all,
    I have the wolf x pro and it's my 4th e scooter abd by far my favorite. My question is has anyone tried upgrading the controler to the 30amp from the base model or a different type? Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks all!

      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, it’s odd for sure. I weighed them a couple times to make sure, and then opened them up so I could see the batteries. The base model battery is physically larger than the pro battery, so that must be where the weight comes from. I didn’t cut into the battery pack to see why the base model battery is bigger though. I suspect that they have used more cells, but cells with lower capacity each.

    Have watched this video about 15 times now, very tempted to buy the base model X, but it's lack of steering stops, it's bottoming out rear suspension on the first ones makes me wonder what other shortcuts the manufacture has taken.
    If they fix the lack of steering stops, fix the fragile side lights, extend the rear fender a bit and use a proper thumb throttle, it would be a no brainer proposition to drop the $3,000 for one they are asking for here in Australia (Straya)

    • @monyx1101

      I bought model X as private import aud $2143 delivered from AlieXpress, arrive yesterday after long wait - it has new 6 coil dual springs in rear to address bottoming out. The sinewave make throttle/accel very smooth.

    Are these models prone to alot of maintenance or flats

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main thing to prevent flats is to keep your tire pressure at the spec. Tubeless tires are a little better than tubes in terms of resisting flats and also being compatible with tire sealant (slime, Armordilloz). The advantage of tubed tires with split rims (like these) is that if you do get a flat, it's easy to change the tubes. Maintenance wise, I think the Wolf X scooters should be as good as any other Kaabo scooter, or top brand scooter. -Paul
