    Thanks for your descriptions... On my son's older 4 spd Grom, Dropping the front sprocket one tooth added torque and added 4mph to the topend! YES, the Grom will hold 64mph on the flat and hit 69mph with a tailwind!

      That's something I haven't played with yet is gearing but I'm going to soon to see what difference it makes.

      @@Bruce125z well, son is 6'3", 190lbs and could go faster in 3rd than 4th! So he lowered the sprocket ratio by 1 tooth in the front. I rode it and 69 on a Grom is FUN!

      I bet it is lol im lucky to hit 61 on either grom or z125, so ill definitely have to play with gearing without losing torque

    Nice video bud! New sub👍. I have a '23 Grom and my wife has a '20 Z125. They're so much fun. One thing I had to do to the z immediately was add the Kemimoto handlebar risers. It gave the z a more upright seating and bar position, making it more similar to the Grom. I noticed a lot more fatigue in my neck and upper back, riding the Z.
    My wife is barely 5' so I lowered the Grom long enough for her to learn to ride and then got her the Z. Now it's lowered and Im glad to have my Grom back to stock height.

      That's awesome! It's definitely fun riding either bike, the grom is more roomy and the z is definitely a little more scrunched up but I've done so much to my z I prefer it over my girlfriends grom, at least for now lol thank you for subscribing I really appreciate it and I also subscribed to your channel. Have fun on your ride outs and stay safe man!

    Looking to buy a 2022/2023 from here in Japan and they told me it's a one-year wait because of component shortages and covid problems.. Eeek. Maybe I can find one used but I'm sure it'll be higher than the MSRP. The scenery in your video reminds me of where I grew up in Florida, St Pete/Clearwater. Almost made me homesick!

    • @Bruce125z
      @Bruce125z  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm in Brandon Florida, so your home towns are 40 min from me. I love walking the St Pete Pier it's a nice scenery spot. And yeah COVID messed a lot up for the motorcycle industry and others unfortunately everyone is backed up

    Don’t forget about the gas mileage . I’m getting an average of 138 mpg at around 3,000 miles so far .

    • @Bruce125z
      @Bruce125z  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is very true, definitely can't beat the gas mileage out of these, another reason I don't care to modify the motor. I'd prefer to keep being able to ride seems like forever before having to fill up again

    just curious how the false neutral has been treating you?

    • @Bruce125z
      @Bruce125z  ปีที่แล้ว

      I honestly haven't had too much trouble with it, it happens but I've had dirt bikes in the past that had the same issue so it doesn't bother me as much, but other than that it's a fun bike to ride and the false neutral is just a minor annoyance.

      I have noticed this in other bike brands over the years as well. Could be just me.

      Honda has sloppy shifters in my opinion, like when you're in 1st, the shifter will still push down quite far, Kawasaki at least the z125 it's solid no play I like that solid shift feel over any extra movement

    you wont stall taking turns in 3rd gear? i thought 14mph would be slow enough to stall in 3rd like at 6:06

    • @Bruce125z
      @Bruce125z  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it won't stall you can hear and feel the engine while being in higher gears going slow, if it chugs I'll down shift quick but I have no issues taking slow turns in 3rd while I ride I'm always listening to the motor

    I'm the same. Not out for subscribers. I just want to document what I did when I was younger and fitter and could ride. Some day I'll be too old and decrepit to throw my leg over a bike. Might as well enjoy it while we can. 👍😁

    • @Bruce125z
      @Bruce125z  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly, I just enjoy knowing there's documented proof of the fun I enjoyed while I can.

    Your Grom probably hasn't the whine from the transmission due to the fact you are breaking the bike in correctly, and not pulling wheelies flat out as soon as you have departed the dealership.

    • @Bruce125z
      @Bruce125z  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's very true didn't take that into consideration. I do ride it normalish

    • @natebrigadier
      @natebrigadier ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve been riding my 23 grom normal, have about 200 miles on it now but the noise started at 120 miles. Who knows, this grom might do the same, just need some more time in the saddle

    How to buy honda grom in India

    • @Bruce125z
      @Bruce125z  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not 100 percent sure on that, I live in the states so I'm not sure what bikes are available to you in India but I'm sure if you look up local motorcycle dealers near you, they will have either the Grom, z125, or Honda monkey 125
