Modeling Tank Tracks in SolidWorks

This video offers a quick tutorial on how to make basic tank treads in the SolidWorks CAD program. This video does not go into excessive detail about detailing the treads and is instead a high level tutorial about how to loop a chain of components around another set of components to produce a single, 3D printable track part.

Thanks for this video! What if I want to make TPU printable tracks that are like belt with holes for the sprocket?

I personally have not worked with TPU, I would imagine that the technique shown in this video would work for details, but I would probably extrude a band through the track to ensure rigidity, excluding the points where the sprocket holes are located. Print resolution will be very important for getting the holes to show up. Apologies for the late reply.

I actually have a Type 10 completed, it's just a little wonky internally and I haven't gotten around to making it 3D printable, maybe a project for the holiday season.
