Exactly the opposite for me. I wanted to go on it but at first i was really scared. But then my friend convinced me to go on there, and when i went on it, it was really cool and wanted to go on it again, and again
Its way more intense that it looks like, the first launch even feels very quick, and the second launch you just stick to the seat and you can only move your arms. Only down side is that it has a 1h line to it and its alot for the finnish standarts, but its definetly worth it.
Videos don't do it justice. It's feels way faster when you're actually on it (it goes over 100km/h at the fastest point). The adrenaline kicks in pretty quick, amazing ride! Went there on the opening week.

Just got on this 10 days ago and was so pleasantly surprised! One of my favourites easily. Rode it one last time before the park closed and the sun was just setting as well, that large hill looking over the city at 00:31 gave me the best view ever on a coaster.
Wow, what a kick ass coaster. Relentless from beginning to end. I love the fact that it seems to stay very close to the ground as well...oh, and not to mention lots of twisty moments!

Interesting theese cams infront of you. So they film you when you ride. Is this for security reason or just like similar "ride photo" to buy, in this case film to buy ? Anyway cool ride and Helsinki is anyway on my travel list ;-)
I’v Ridden Taiga four times in total and it keeps getting better and better I’m going again this weekend because the company my mum works for has one day a year when they rent out Linnanmäki and Only the employees and their families get access to the park and the rides and I’m planning to ride this ride as many times as possible in that time
She doesn't keep an active coaster count, but if I had to guess, somewhere around 800. She actually is not even that into coasters at the moment and probably only rides about 1/5 of the coasters at the parks we go to. So the fact that she actually LOVED this one really says something! :) I know she's been to 40 different countries though!
Is this MACK or Intamin? Im thinking Intamin cuz the launches actually look good, no offense to mack but... come on we all know whos launches are better
@@brianke82 Okay, intamin blitz are my favorite coaster model just couldnt tell if it was a mack multi launch or blitz. its a shame nobody builds them in America anymore
It happened three times, when the camera was viewing the viewing the second launch from of the ride there is two banging noises. Are those the cars scratching agains eachother on that turn at the too of the hill?
Francisco Aguayo I think what you hear is the brake fins moving up and locking in the top position. At 1:15 you can see this on the right side of the screen.

But Taiga has some very interesting elements I think I rode it 15 times that day, everything hurt after, but it was AWESOME and definitely my second favourite after Taron.
Man, these recent vids are really making me feel foolish for not including any coasters on my recent trip to the Nordic countries (next time, I told myself :P). This looks like a very fun coaster! Love that first just-out-of-the-station-holy-crap-here-we-go! launch. Also, I am in total awe of Robb's camera holding skills. :D
Does anybody generally love the sound of Intamin LSM launches? They are a one of a kind powerful sound, along with such acceleration. So satisfying.

Oddly enough I find most noises rollercoasters make soothing and very satisfying.
My favorites are Taron, and Soaring With Dragon. The roars from those rides!

Rode it this year and this coaster is too well to have no attention. Honestly surprised the first time I rode it.

Holy crapola, this looks AWESOME! Such smooth transitions from element to element.

headmopp 5 years is not a long time... Linnanmäki's last coaster opened in 2011 and it was a Maurer Skyloop... But now we have Taiga! 😀

Intamin's snappy turns is kind of their thing. Looks like the first launch activates nearly halfway through the LSMs. I'd definitely ride this.

It's Intamin, same coaster-type as Taron in Phantasialand and Cheetah Hunt in BGT (blitz coasters)
