Mark: "You don't wanna mess with the muscle" casually gets scared of his own shadow and starts shooting at it
Mark waits for a bus to go to his government job of exploring an SCP, then tries to escape from it.
Little does he know, the bus is a previously unknown SCP where the bus driver is it's previous victim. And once you accept a ride from the bus and take a seat, the bus starts it's routine.
The internal section of the bus has an invisible miasma that causes its riders to hallucinate to the point of extreme paranoia and distress. And the bus doesn't stop moving until the rider is dead by either starvation, exposure to the miasma poison or by unaliving themselves
Once the rider has died, they are then consumed by the seat they're sitting on and literally melts into the strange leather, eventually becoming the actual seat itself. (Every seat is made of the skin of its victims.)
Once the rider is dead, However, once the corpse of the bus driver has decomposed enough, they are also consumed and the rider will then become the new bus driver and the cycle begins anew

@@Mister_Clean Yeah, that story always felt prettyyy corny to me. Amazing what a little atmosphere and SFX can do with a corny story, though, cause I did get a little creeped out even knowing the twist beforehand. Lixian is one hell of an editor.

Dude, there’s something so horrifying about that last game. Like, you think you’re being tortured and locked up in this disgusting and old rust bucket, when in reality the people are just keeping you ignorant from the horrors that lay beyond the safety of the building. What I find most interesting is how the appearance of the initial place is perceived to be the threatening place, and then when you get out you’re like, “oh shoot I knew there was a better life” and then some monster comes from the horizon. I think it just goes to show much humans based things off of appearance. We all think someone else has what we want until we have that, because we are too quick to think about “how much better life could be if I was this or that person” everyone, and I guess in this case every environment has their own hidden secrets.

"The Other Side" is such a great game. It reminds me of "The Maze Runner" movie which was incredible. The fact where people are trapped and removed from the outside world. It is like your house, when you get outside, the world that is out there is completely different than what you were in. Imagine being trapped inside a manmade structure forever where you haven't seen the outside world....one of the absolute coolest ways to make any game or movie in my opinion. This has been done and I LOVE it so much......the movie "Cube" is another extremely cool movie you can watch for free here on TH-cam.

as a girl who has had to take the last bus home many times… the first game is too spooky, i’ve had weird dudes approach me and try to have conversations and i, stupidly, sometimes decided to answer…it would become uncomfy so quickly… thankfully it was never in an isolated area and nobody has ever followed me home, one of my friends had a stalker-ish dude trying to follow her or memorising the days he would see her during the week… it was so awful and scary (she stopped taking the bus)

That’s exactly why I have a weapon on me at all times when I’m out late and taking public transportation. I recommend every girl carrying a weapon and acting unhinged in those situations.

That other side was pure horror, incredibly well made. The ambiance at the beginning was unnerving, and the fact you couldn't tell if the noises were inside or outside created great tension making you question if the outside was truly worth it. The second part where the soundtrack picks up was super well made and produced great anxiety, unlike a movie where you pretty much know the outcome, this game also doesn't rely on cheap jumpscares to trigger fight or flight, the mechanics while simple were satisfying and required just enough precision and timing that it kept you on your toes even if you were very fast, walking outside to a peaceful and beautiful world only to have it ripped away by the note and silhouette in the distance rapidly approaching. A Masterful experience only to be compared with the very best horror has to offer.
I await the day that Mark plays a run of World of Horror. Knowing him, he's either going to clutch it or get abducted by "aliens". He will especially be happy with the fact that a doggo is running on of the shops.
I honestly hope from the bottom of my heart that this series never ends

Those short scary stories were actually pretty good. I really liked the first one.
The fact that Mark screams at a perfectly normal person like his life depends on it just shows how degraded his sanity is.
The Other Side was absolutely my favorite from this. Such a good experience in a short amount of time. The music and atmosphere to the eventual twist at the end after a moment of bliss was all amazing.

the flares/glares and basically blind when you run is annoying puts me off the game, do I like the creepy lost vibes, this game has potential to be a great game
It's a problem with lots of indie horror games now, it usually looks like it was made with unity/unreal engine assests while trying to make the lighting as realistic as possible while all they do is put reflections and lens flares wherever they can and just make it visually disgusting.
When the story Lixian picked to play is freaking me out more than the scary game.

The first scary story during the bus stop was genuinely horrifying, as I know this kind of stuff exists and happens. The fact she used the "skin peeling from a sunburn" analogy specifically and then discovering why it felt like that.
I guessed the end of the story after the peeling skin monologue and the “rooms have names” bit lol
I found listening to the short scary stories Lixian provided while waiting for the bus to be compelling. The last game is so cool and terrifying. The Other Side is a great and unnerving horror game.
It’s an interesting riff on the book Wool, for sure. The book plays it straight, and… well, it’s a bit more brutal.

It's times like the 2nd game I hope the creators watch Mark, because he gives a fair and respectful review without being mean and bashing it, he sees the potential, that it can be a good game, that there is room to grow, that despite its faults no matter how many it can be made a good game.

_The Other Side_ sets up a system where the first layer helps you familiarize you with the items in the game and learn how to work the tools. Then it throws a timer at you, giving you a LOT of stress. Honestly, that's a pretty good way to get you running

I absolutely adore how you change the character and the timeline of events in "Radio Disturbance" by simply choosing to or not to report in. It's really just a small detail that really fascinates me and wish to see in more games!
