Skyrat is ok as long as you avoid the dorms, that's where the ERP happens. Apparently they broke off from Citadel for reasons I never looked into. Any RP server where you won't get banned for defending yourself is a rarity these days it seems.
Don't know about you, but I straight up gave people a 10 minute sleeping dosage as well as broken bones in self defense on Citadel RP and got in no troubles.
Oh I can tell you why they broke off from citadel. Headmins of cit were hiding a paedophile knowingly. A player gathered evidence and posted it. The headmins tried to keep it a secret, and anyone who questioned it or started looking into it got banned, silenced or demoted. (They even went as far as demoting people from their own admin team for questioning and not wanting to be a part of it). The host didn't give shits about the server before after most of the playerbase had left. So yeah. It's a long story but I think this sums it up. Plus skyrat introduced a host who actually gave a fuck about the community, which citadel didn't have.
I'm a skyrat veteran, and I'm gonna speak from experience that out of the ERP friendly servers it is the most standard, the station goes red alert typically within 30 mins, changelings, nuke ops etc aren't a rate sight and it has quite lax combat rules for a high rp server (you are far more likely to get away with killing someone without getting boinked for example so long as you aren't hard blantent self antagging). A good chunk of the server never touches ERP, as skyrats has some unique code/features (plasmamen and IPCs, including surgery was actually designed by skyrat for example along with the complex xenosurgery support)

Hey DarkRP is mostly just following rules, which is why I moved to ss13 as it has more RP. But then it got flooded by 18+ ERP Vore servers which fucking sucks. SS13 had more mechanics and RP than DarkRP could even offer, which is why I still prefer ss13 over it. DarkRP is just sitting in a base printing money, following the !motd and @rdm change my mind.

We take in new players whenever our old ones get burnt out and bored. Just keep an eye out. Another way to get in is to just ask, lots of people play lifeweb but its sort of an unspoken rule to not tell other people. The main reason you wont find anyone to invite you is because they need to refer you, and if you get banned they get banned too, so most people who play lifeweb will only invite their friends so they arent responsible for a stranger.
@@BaeWatson The unspoken rule by the way, is just something the community manufactured, and I don't follow it, I want the server to succeed and I tell people about it all the time because I value it. The systems keep out the trash who wouldn't already be here, the trash who would already be here are of course already going to be there so what I'm doing is hopefully letting a few good people through and saving the server from atrophy, if you noticed both servers used to be consistently full now only one is full sometimes and the other is consistently empty because everyone trashed it because they overvalue experimental systems that put them above other people.
It really is the best, it's just LRP servers are filled with knuckleheads and HRP servers are filled with degenerates. There are still plenty of good options, though.
Baystation 12 is actually fun if you dont play like a LRP dork and then complain when you're boinked, but it's definitely not for everyone. If you do play I recommend sticking to MRP servers until you understand the game, as LRP will probably land you dead in 5 minutes cause someone wanted to RP a cunt irl

clearly ss13 celebrity status gets you into LFWB but the rest of us have to chill and talk smack at the residents until they take pity on us.
We take in new players whenever our old ones get burnt out and bored. Just keep an eye out. Another way to get in is to just ask, lots of people play lifeweb but its sort of an unspoken rule to not tell other people. The main reason you wont find anyone to invite you is because they need to refer you, and if you get banned they get banned too, so most people who play lifeweb will only invite their friends so they arent responsible for a stranger.

@@BaeWatson The unspoken rule by the way, is just something the community manufactured, and I don't follow it, I want the server to succeed and I tell people about it all the time because I value it. The systems keep out the trash who wouldn't already be here, the trash who would already be here are of course already going to be there so what I'm doing is hopefully letting a few good people through and saving the server from atrophy, if you noticed both servers used to be consistently full now only one is full sometimes and the other is consistently empty because everyone trashed it because they overvalue experimental systems that put them above other people.

I never played SS13 but I love hearing about it.
It really is the best, it's just LRP servers are filled with knuckleheads and HRP servers are filled with degenerates. There are still plenty of good options, though.
Baystation 12 is actually fun if you dont play like a LRP dork and then complain when you're boinked, but it's definitely not for everyone. If you do play I recommend sticking to MRP servers until you understand the game, as LRP will probably land you dead in 5 minutes cause someone wanted to RP a cunt irl
