- A white teacher has been pulled from Whitney Young Magnet High School after he hung a Black doll by its neck from a cord at the front of his classroom then argued with a Black colleague who was offended.

This teacher sounds like someone who needs to be fired. It’s not just about the doll, it’s about the fact that the teacher has a history of saying proactive things towards one group of people, Black people. For the people in the comments, stop making excuses
What's the chance this guy is actually fired instead of just being placed "on leave" for the 4 years he has left before he can start collecting his fat pension?

Hi. I’m a teacher and the way you handle lost items from your classroom is make an announcement in all your classes about what was found, you could leave a note on the board, Or you turn it into Lost and Found. You definitely don’t hang it and possibly destroy someone’s personal item.

It looks like the doll is hung by the neck and torso. They are lying if the doll is hanging "lynch style." The teacher would probably have done the same with any color doll. Thumbs down on the Fake News story.
A white teacher with numerous black students should be aware of the implications of hanging a black figure from any rope-like object, but especially if it went around the figure's neck, even if it also went around the torso. If the man has a history of deliberate racial insensitivity, it makes sense that this would be seen in line with that. He may well have attempted to hang the figure by the neck alone but found that it wouldn't stay hanging that way.

Is there any other context aside from he hung a doll up ? I mean y’all upset saying he’s racist since he got mad at being confronted. But like someone comes at you calling you racist for something you think is innocent I can see why he be upset . But if there’s multiple incident it’s best to bring them to light. I kinda hate how these days people make their minds up over one small thing and ruin someone’s life . We need to be sure before we label anyone racist . This is no different from accusing men of rape without proof and watching their lives get ruined . There was a story a few years back where a father lost his job cause he had a scarecrow hanging by the neck during Halloween and people thought that was racist and found out where he worked next thing he lost his Job. We gotta be sure before we throw the racist card cause imma be real it’s losing meaning every day now .
I agree. To my understanding the teacher just put the lost doll there hoping the owner would see and claim it. Not everything has to be a manufactured racial statement or something. You’ll drive yourself mad looking for a way to be offended by everything.

First and foremost, calling someone a racist cannot lose its meaning if it never meant anything. Imagine the same devil's during slavery and Jim crow, didn't believe what was being done was racist..so if you called a enslaver a racist, it didn't mean anything because ..well you cannot educate a racist because the enslaver thinks it's normal...
Second, the doll alone is very racist in nature and then to "hang it up on a string" knowing the history in America... Yeah right, just a innocent jester .. one thing about bigots and racist .dumb asf and stick together...
@@NATtelevision he could had put it on his desk, not hanging it like that it has to be more to what he was doing especially because that same thing happened long time ago and even now with real people.. there was a better way the teacher could had dealt with the doll, he even hung it by its neck and not by its body which is also very strange.
@@ForestMystical How is that strange? Seems like it would be a challenge to balance a doll by its body in a loop like that. We’re entering a fragile world where we’re all going to have to micromanage every passing behavior to avoid peoples’ concocted outrage. What a way to live.
