Good for you , someone we know doesnt have any hay stock but says he will soon have 3 head of cattle wth only 10 acres 😲he will just buy at premium rates
El Nino this year usually means a cold wet winter. That's why everyone is predicting a bad one. We need a cold winter here. Preparing for a ice storm, just in case. Went through 1 and a week with no electric when we lived in town over 20 years ago. Some people went 3 weeks with no electric. So when we went property hunting, if the place had a house, a wood stove was a top requirement, LOL! We got lucky when we found this place.
We get most of our hay from our neighbor next to us. Nothing but coastal. Love having the hay for the year!

@@ParagonRidgeRanch the one that hit hard here was back in the late 90's. We did get snowed in back about 2011 on Christmas but it melted off within a day.

Oh man...I live in Michigan and I got 16 round bales 6x5 and 100 square bales for only 2 horses. That was last year...I hope that this is enough for you guys.🙏💞
The great thing is there is enough for the sheep to graze all winter, they will get fat in dried oak leaves;)
